The sound of gushing water followed by screaming is heard in the tunnels. The water then splashes outside onto the surface and two individuals are seen among the water. A girl, with pinkish skin and hair, jolts up gasping for air and coughs up some water. She then gets blinded by the vast amount of light till her eyes adjust. Once they do she comes to a terrifying realization

Kipo: I'm on the surface?! I'm on the surface!!

She looks up and gets blinded by the sun which causes her to scream and hold her eyes as she thrashes around

Kipo: The sun! I looked at the sun! I'll go blind!

She stops, momentarily, and moves her hands from her eyes

Kipo: Wait, I can still see

From the corner of her, well seeing, eyes she spots another individual wearing the same uniform she is wearing and immediately runs over to him

Kipo: (Y/N)!! (Y/N) get up!

She starts giving him cpr to no avail so in a last ditch effort she stands up and elbow drops him. This causes him to spit out the water along with the air but also causes a great amount of pain. He twist and turn while grunting in pain while Kipo smiles

Kipo: Oh thank God you're okay

(Y/N): *wheeze*

Kipo: Now get up, we can't be here!

She runs back to the tunnels and tries to push the rocks, that have blocked the entrance, aside. But, as expected, they don't budge so she climbs up to a crack and shouts in

Kipo: Dad! Can you hear me?! *sigh* Of course not. He could be miles away. Ok! You can do this, Kipo. You got this. Humans lived on the surface for thousands of years. You can handle a few minutes up here

(Y/N): You're talking to yourself again!

She turns to the boy recovering from the elbow drop he received earlier and runs up to him and engulfs him in a hug then bombard him with kisses

Kipo: Oh my God, (Y/N), are you okay?!

(Y/N): I'm alive, thankfully

Kipo: That's good

He looks around and finally takes notice of his surroundings, or lack there of

(Y/N): Oh God! Oh God! We cannot be up here, we need to head back, immediately!

Kipo: Uh yeah, about that

She gestures over to the covered hole that lead to their burrow

(Y/N): *nervous* That's okay, w-we just need to find another way around, right?! We'll be fine, hopefully

Kipo: Yeah, should be easy..... hopefully

(Y/N): Yeah, hopefully

With that being said and done they walk away from the tunnel and onte the streets that were now overtaken by mother nature. The buildings were destroyed, cars crashed onto the sides of some, and it somehow looked beautiful. Although it did look nice they were still carefully walking around the surface. Every noise startled them and kept close to one another to feel safe. The slightest sound of a twig snapping would make them whimper but they kept moving, unaware of the blue creature following them

Soon enough the stumble upon large flowers, so large that they grew over the buildings, and they also saw lights and sounds coming from one of the smaller flowers. It sounded a lot like music, rave music, so they peak inside and see the most unexpected thing they've ever seen before. Two bee's in leather jackets were making both the sound and lights, this confuses them greatly. The bee's noticed them and waved them off which was enough to make them both leave

(Y/N): That was..... I don't know the word to explain what I saw

Kipo: Let's just keep moving

They didn't move very far. They were distracted by a music store that they had backed up into. Kipo picked up a guitar and tuned it then started singing while (Y/N) sat nearby

Kipo:
Up on top, on our own
A human girl and boy so far from home
The flowers are big
The bee's are wierd
It's dangerous
Just like I feared
On the surface world

Just as the song started to pick up a giant bird attacked them. They ran out the store and the bird followed but as it reached outside it lost sight of them. It then flew away as Kipo and (Y/N) peaked their heads out of a car to watch it fly away

(Y/N): That was a close one

Kipo: Hmm

(Y/N): Kipo, you alright?

Kipo: Let's see, the current took us left, then right

(Y/N): And you're talking to yourself again

She started drawing a map on the dirty windshield of the car. Although she got confused halfway through and messed everything up, that's when (Y/N) decided to pinch her cheek

Kipo: Ow! Ow! Ow!

(Y/N): Kipo, quit panicking! That's my job

Just then a blue creature peaked its eyes over the window

(Y/N) & Kipo: Aw he looks cute

The creature peaked in further revealing another set of eyes which caused them to freak out. The creature ran away as both Kipo and (Y/N) re-emerge

Kipo: Uh, sorry! Didn't expect you to come with extra eyes

(Y/N): We also didn't expect to see giant birds and bee's with leather jackets

She steps out of the car while (Y/N), hesitantly, follows

Kipo: We're friends

The creature steps out of a pile of rocks to reveal a blue pig. It had four eyes and six legs

Kipo: Oh! You come with an extra pair of everything. We only have two legs. So boring

(Y/N): I'm okay with boring, actually

Kipo elbows his side

Kipo: Not helping

Pig: *snorts*

Kipo: Aww! I have to pet you

(Y/N): Kipo I don't think that's a good idea. I mean he could be dangerous

Kipo: How can something so cute be so dangerous

As she goes to pet the pig it dashes away at a fast pace

(Y/N): Well it's fast, that's for sure

Kipo: Wait! Come back!

(Y/N): We should let it go

Kipo: But I wanna pet him!

(Y/N): You can pet him another time

Kipo: Fine, but I will pet him, one day

With that out of the way, they find clothing store nearby. Kipo, excitedly, tries everything she finds from causal clothing to dresses. (Y/N), on the other hand, finds a simple button up shirt, some jeans, shoes, and a jacket incase it gets cold. After a while Kipo finally decides on some jeans, teal shirt, and pink convers

Kipo: What do think, (Y/N)?!

(Y/N): Like I said the last five time, you look perfect

Kipo: *smiles* Thanks! I think I'll use this

They exit the store and get distracted immediately by a car. It was currently being used as a shell for an overgrown snail. They both hop in, (Y/N) more hesitant, and Kipo proceeds to exaggerate the swagger of a pink teen. The moment is cut short when they hear the blue pig from earlier

Kipo: Piggy!

She grabs (Y/N) and chases after the pig into the school. They sneak in and spot the pig trying to get snacks from a vending machine.

Kipo: We can help you with that

The pig gets startles and backs up into the machine as Kipo approach it

Kipo: We have vending machines like this in my burrow. Help me out (Y/N)

They try and push the machine away from the wall but proves to be difficult. Mostly because of the wood that's coming out of the wall keeping it there but difficult nonetheless. They eventually push it free and it drops to the floor breaking the glass that held the food

Kipo: That works too

(Y/N): I could've just broke the glass

They take out some chips and Kipo takes one to feed the pig. The pig lunges towards the chip and quickly eats it

Kipo: Woah! You were hungry, weren't you?

She gives him the rest of the bag and eats the rest of them, along with the bag

(Y/N): How can you be so calm in a time like this?

Kipo: You just gotta look at the bright side. How about we do the thing we always do?

(Y/N): We do a lot of things, can you be more specific

Kipo smiles, deviously, and grabs them both. Later on, they are on the top of a set of stairs sitting on a tray. (Y/N) sits on the back while Kipo sits in between his legs and the pig on her lap

Kipo: You guys ready?!

The pig and (Y/N) both shake their heads quickly but Kipo thrust forward. They go down at a quick pace and spin around a bit before they stop by hitting a shelf

(Y/N): That wasn't so bad

Kipo: Told yah! You're such a baby sometimes

She then noticed a photo in front of her. She wipes the dust off with her hand and looks at it

Kipo: Humans from the old world. This is a school! We go to school too. Underground with lots of other kids

(Y/N): Never thought I would miss school

Kipo: Yeah, I wonder if they're worried about us

(Y/N): They are. We shouldn't keep them worried for too long

Kipo: *chuckling* Yeah

She leans back onto him and he wraps his arms around her waist. Kipo then felt more weight on her and saw that the pig was leaning on her so she hugs him

Kipo: (Y/N), our whole lives they taught us the surface was this horrible place

(Y/N): Times change. Maybe it isn't as bad as they say anymore, I mean look at this little guy. He's adorable

Kipo: I know, he looks just like the dumplings my dad makes. *gasp* That's it

(Y/N): What is?

Kipo: I'm gonna name him mandu

She pets Mandu and he jumps off her excitedly. Mandu starts panting and acting like a dog making Kipo happy. He runs off and they chase after him to the next room. The laughter is cut short when they spot a huge baby bunny

Kipo: (Y/N), Mandu I have to pet this bunny, now

She goes to climb down into the pool but Mandu bites on her shirt to stop her

Kipo: It's gonna be ok

(Y/N): Kipo if Mandu is scared don't you think he has a reason to?!

Kipo: Oh (Y/N), you were wrong about Mandu and Mandu was wrong about us. Besides what's so wrong with petting a bunny

She climbs down and starts petting the bunny while (Y/N) stays back with Mandu

(Y/N): Be straight with me Mandu, is this bad?!

Mandu: *worried squealing*

(Y/N): That's enough for me. Kipo come on we gotta go

Kipo: *laughing* Just a little longer

She then noticed that there were more bunnies. Just as things were looking bright, they soon turned dark. A large shadow followed by rumbling appeared as Kipo looked flabbergasted

Kipo: And that must be the mother

The mama bunny then laid on top of her baby's while Kipo was still in there

Kipo: *groans*

(Y/N): *whisper yelling* Kipo! Kipo are you okay

He then saw a hand stick out followed by Kipo trying to get free. He quickly grabs her hands and pulls her out of the litter. The mama bunny wakes up momentarily causing both of them to hide near her baby's. She goes back to sleep when she spots nothing and Kipo and (Y/N) both run away. Once they're in a safe place they take a quick breath

(Y/N): Are you okay?!

Kipo: I'm fine. You worry too much

She says as she pinches his cheek

(Y/N): You were under a giant bunny, of course I'm worried!

They hear Mandu nearby and Kipo immediately heads to him making (Y/N) follow. As they approach the pig he is captured by a shadowy figure that looks like a wolf. They chase after the figure hoping to get their friend back

I'll end the first chapter here. I was gonna do the whole episode but I'm not really one to make long chapters so I'll be cutting them into parts. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of hopefully many. That's all, bye
