Kion and Rani were completely cornered by Jackals. It seems like they were nowhere to go.

"Kion, what we going to do?" Rani asks her mate, as he was protecting his mate, as if he couldn't know what to do.

He thought in his mind, "What I supposed to do? Should I use the Roar on them? No, it would be way too simple to summon up an tornado of whirlwind. "

Fuli and the others seems to be out of reach too, as they were busy trying to calm the inhabitants of the Tree of Life.

" Calm down, everyone!" Fuli said, but it doesn't seems to be working as the animals were being chased down by the Jackal pups and seems to be out of control.

Ono said, "It seems like these Jackals had planned this as an ambush the Tree of Life, but why? What is their purpose?"

Anga said, shrugging at the egret's concern, "I have absolutely no idea of why would they want to attack, but it's not a good sign to say the least. "

The Night Pride seems to be out of ideas of what to do, as if the planned attack completely caught them off guard.

Mufusa and Auni came quickly to Ona, Shira, Muffy, and Penda as they looked at the commotion in the battlefield.

Muffy asks, "Are these the Jackals that Mufusa used the Roar on?"

Ona nods, "Yes, it appears that Kion and the others are trapped and has nowhere else to go."

"It seems so amazing that the Jackals planned an ambush the King and Queen. It's smart in a devious sort of way." Penda said.

"Well, we have to do something." Shira said.

"And we will. It's time to assemble the Tree of Life's new Lion Guard." Mufusa said in a serious tone, as the group seems to be shocked of this revelation.

"Mufusa, are you completely sure about doing this? You said so yourself that your Dad wouldn't let you become the Leader of the Lion Guard."

"So, what's the big deal if he doesn't approve of it? I know now that the Tree of Life needs a Lion Guard as well having the Night Pride by its side. "

Muffy said, felt excited, as he said, "So, let's go!" But Mufusa stops the snow leopard's path into the battlefield by stepping into his tail, "Muffy, we can't just jump into action like that. We need a plan to stop this , and I have one.

That is... if you guys want to join me in becoming the new team of my Lion Guard?"

Penda said, "Mufusa, I'm in. "

Shira said, "I'm in too."

Ona said, "Absolutely."  

Auni said, "Laid on us, Mufusa. "

Mufusa turns to his best friend, "Muffy, if you don't want to join the others, I totally understand."

The snow leopard seems to be reticent at first but then he gave his best friend an reassuring smile .  "I'm with you all the way, Mufusa. Let's do this."

The cheshunt golden lion smiled at the group as he walks up to them one by one.

"Penda. You are the Bravest." He said to the hyena , as she looks at the Mark of the Guard.

"Shira, You are the Strongest." Mufusa said to the elephant.

"Auni, You are the Fastest." He said to the cheetah .

"Ona, you are the Keenest of Sight."

He turns to Muffy, "And for the last role of the Lion Guard, Muffy, You are the Smartest. We are the next generation of the Lion Guard. And here's what we're going to do."

Janna seems to be worried as Makini reassures her, "I'm sure your parents are going to fine, Janna. "

That was when Janna notices her younger brother and his friends. "Hey, look at Mufusa! What is he doing?"

The cheshunt golden lion seems determined , as if he was ready to battle.

"With strength and Protect, Lion Guard Defend!" He yelled as the new Lion Guard went into battle.

Ona flew down as she knocked some of the male Jackals out of her adoptive brother's way, "You mess with the wrong bird, Jackal."

Ono exclaimed, "Ona! What you doing here? You shouldn't be here!"

The hamerkop smiles at her adoptive brother as she replied, "It's going to be fine, Ono. Besides, Mufusa has a plan."

The egret was confused by the hamerkop's words. "I don't understand. "

"Penda, use the tree branch!" Ona exclaimed to the hyena, as she yells, "On it!"

The hyena jumps backwards and hit headfirst from the boost of the tree branch to her advantage as Auni yells, "Huwezi! There is nothing where I can go faster than you! "

The Jackals were scared as they were rounded up, as Mufusa said, "All right, this is great you guys, keep going, and Shira, now!"

"Take this!" The elephant yells as she pushed the Jackals to the other side.

The new Lion Guard ran after the villains as Kion and Rani managed to escape and joined up with Fuli and the others.

"Do you see that?" Ono asks , watching them.

"Yeah, I never seen anything like that." Rani said, as Janna said, smiling at the distant sight of her older brother, "I believe it. It seems like that things are going to different now that Mufusa is a leader just like you, Dad."

Kion seems to be in disbelief of his only son's actions, as Makini said, "Hey, look!"

The Jackals seem to be licking at their wounds as the leader steps forward. "It seems that you are capable of doing something so rashful. Leave now, or else you and friends get hurt. "  

"You hurt my parents, and try to threaten my home. You almost broke the Circle of life. I think it's time for you to leave. " 

The clouds were surrounding besides the cub, as if they were meant to be there. Mufusa knew it was time .

Mufusa felt the familiar sensation as his eyes glowed in bright yellow as he wanted to protect his loved ones. 

That was when he unleashed the Roar, in public for the first time since he discovered it when he saved Vitani and her Lion Guard. 

Mufusa's Lion Guard was amazed as well as Kion and his Lion Guard. 

"Unbungaelivable! It's the Roar!" Bunga exclaimed. The Jackals was hurt by the Roar, as the leader looks at the young, brave cub. 

"You win today, but we'll be back." He said. 

Mufusa said, "We'll be waiting." 

Mufusa sighs in total relief as Penda gave a paws up to the new leader, "Mufusa, we did it!" 

The chestnut golden lion nods but then he collapses . 

"Mufusa!" Muffy said, in total worry as Janna ask, "Is he all right?"

Kion races over as he looks at his son, as he gently muzzles him. "Son, are you all right?"

Mufusa groans, "D-Dad. I feel dizzy." 

The King of the Tree of Life helped the young cub as he said, "I think we do need to talk , to all of you." 

Janna and Mufusa looked at one other with a curious expressions on their faces as they and the two Lion Guards gathered for a meeting inside the Tree.

Muffy said, looking at Mufusa, "Man, I never seen the Roar before. That was incredible!" 

Mufusa sweats at the Smartest, "Well... I guess that was . But I am still learning how to control it. It was my first time that I ever done it at the Tree of Life. When I first discovered it, I was just helping Aunt Vitani from being in danger from those Jackals." 

Kion said, stunned, "Really? You defended Vitani on your own? That's um, impressive son." 

Mufusa still felt awkward of talking to him since he and his father fought . It still wonders if their relationship would be all right since they both inherit the Roar. 

Mufusa asks to his team, "Can I have a moment with my Dad? We really some private time alone." 

Janna walks to her older brother, "You sure?" 

"It's a meeting between two Lion Guard leaders, sis. It's really important." He said to his younger sister . 

The chestnut lioness was silent for just a moment, as if she wants to listen to their conversation so badly, but Penda touches her shoulder, "Let them have their moment, Janna. He seems very concerned about something." 

Janna sighs as she follows the Lion Guard.

Mufusa sighs, "Dad, I got to know. Did um, a spirit come to you when you first got the Roar?"

Kion was hesitant for a moment before responding to him. He still remembers when his Grandfather Mufusa first appears to him .

"Yes. I did have a Great King who came to help me when I'm troubled. It was your great- Grandfather, Mufusa. He was my father's dad when he used to rule the Pridelands. But ... then he was murdered by-" 

"Scar. " Mufusa said, "Man, it would be hard to defeat him if he returns back to the Pridelands." 

"Actually , son, Scar did come back, and his partner in crime, a snake named Ushari, he was the one who gave me this scar,  and that's how I met your mother, here, in the Tree of Life. " Kion explains to the cub.

Mufusa's eyes were widen of hearing of his father's tale for the first time. He sat as he said, "I never knew that. I guess I should apologize to you. 

I shouldn't yelled at you of not telling me the truth of the Lion Guard." 

"And I should apologize to you too, Mufusa. I should've told you about my past a long time ago. I.. I was afraid of that you would not be able to have a life you should have." 

The chestnut golden lion walked up to the king, "Dad, I am capable of handling myself . I know that this is what I meant to be and also that it's my turn to lead my own Lion Guard. I wasn't sure before , but then I met a Spirit who helped me find my own strength to move forward." 

"Hmm. It sounds like I was when I first got the Roar. I wasn't able to control the Roar at first too, and I was self-doubting myself if I can lead too."  Kion chuckles.

As Mufusa leaves the Tree of Life, Kion was eager to speak to his grandfather Mufusa again. 

He looked around, to make sure that nobody was around as he asks, "Grandfather Mufusa? Are you there?"

The wise old lion appears to the King of Life as he said, "I am here, Kion. It's been a very long time since you had summoned me since you had your coronation to be the King of the Tree of Life." 

The King sighs, as the red lion said, "I know. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to contact you for so long. 

Ever since I decided to leave the Pridelands, Rani and I were focusing on ruling the kingdom, with the rest of the guard. 

You have two grandchildren now, two cubs , a boy and girl. My son, Mufusa, and a girl named Janna. 

Mufusa already made his own Lion Guard and is ready to embark his own journey, just like I done in the past. Am I doing the right thing?" 

Mufusa was silent a bit, but then smiled, "Being a father isn't always been easy, Kion. It would take you time to adjust the new journey as being a father and son. Simba had that experience with you when you started the Guard not so long ago." 

Kion seems to understand his grandfather's wisdom, as if he reminces of all the events he had on his journey as the leader of the Guard and that led him to become King of his own kingdom, The Tree of Life. 

"Kion?" Someone asks, as he turns to see it was Fuli as Mufusa disappears among the clouds. 

"Fuli. Hey." The king greeted the cheetah, "Is something wrong?" 

"Well, I um, was thinking you should visit the Pridelands with Janna and Mufusa. Kiara is eager to see you." Fuli suggested. 

The longest time, Kion often thought of returning to the Pridelands, to see his family. Hearing that his older sister wanted to see him, the red lion sighs, "She really wants to see me that badly, that means one thing: She is really mad at me." 

"Well, go to her. Rani wanted you to go ever since she gave birth to Mufusa and Janna. I think you deserve a break from ruling." 

"But what about the Tree of Life? Who would-" 

"If you like, your highness, I would stay behind to watch while you visit the Pridelands with your family." 

They turned around to see it was Varya. The lion turns to the tiger, "Are you sure that you can handle being a temporally Queen of the Tree of Life while we're gone?" 

The tiger nods, "Yes, I'll be fine. Queen Rani helped me when I first arrived at the Tree of Life,  now I can return the favor. You should go." 

Kion smiled at the tiger's determination , as he walks towards the Tree , as Janna and Mufusa was waiting for him.

"So, what happened to you?" Janna asks, getting excited as Mufusa and Kion exchanged looks at one other, wondering about if they should reveal their conversation they had. 

"Um, it's a secret ." Mufusa told her as Janna pouts, "No fair. I want to know what you guys talked about! " 

"Get some sleep. We are going a family trip to the Pridelands." Kion announced. 

"Really? " Janna said, "We're visiting our family back at the Pridelands?"

"Yes, Janna. Mufusa, you should invite-" 

"Invite my guard to come. This way, Aunt Kiara and Uncle Kovu would meet my Lion Guard for the first time." 

Penda walks forward, "Is it all right we made a little detour on the way to the Pridelands? I want to surprise my parents that I've joined Mufusa's Lion Guard." 

Kion said, "Of course we can! Jasari and Janja would be thrilled to know the events that happened here. I haven't seen them since Mufusa and Janna were born." 

Mufusa turns to his Lion Guard, "Lion Guard, we will go the Outlands and the Pridelands . Get plenty of rest." 

"Will do!" Shira said, beaming, as Auni walks with his mother, "See you in the morning. "

The royal family seems to be eager to see their family and friends. 

Janna said, "This would be very interesting in this family." 

Mufusa nodded at his sister's comment, as he went ahead and went fast asleep, as he couldn't wait for the next day to come.
