I can't choose.
I'm currently at the DIY Hardware inside the Verona Mall buying stuffs for my bedroom.
As soon as I finished eating breakfast, I went straight here, almost losing my way in the process. Luckily, there were neighbors who were kind enough to tell me the directions.
Standing in front of the paint section, I'm choosing between the dark gray in my left hand and the light gray in my right.
"I think dark gray is better."
I looked beside me and saw a tall handsome guy with bleach blonde hair, bright baby blue eyes and plump pink lips wearing a navy green hoodie and gray sweatpants.
"Is it for your room?" he asked with a charming smile.
"Yeah, I'm planning to decorate my room," I answered in a gentle voice, trying not to stutter.
"Are you new here? I know everyone here and I'm sure I haven't seen that pretty face." I felt my face heat up with his statement.
"Just moved in yesterday," I said putting back the light gray paint in its place and setting down the dark one in my cart. "And I'm not pretty," I whispered. Not sure if he heard me or not.
"I don't think so. The guys at our left keep on staring at you." I discreetly glanced at them to discover that they were really looking at me.
I felt a weight on my shoulder, blue eyes have placed his arm on my shoulder. I looked at his face. He was glaring at the guys which immediately left when they saw him glaring at them.
"Thanks, but there's really no need for that." He's really nice. We don't know each other but he has helped me twice.
He returned to his smiling face and removed his arm from my shoulder. "I can't let them stare at you like that knowing I can do something."
She was absolutely gorgeous.
I was looking for the green section of paints when I saw her. Porcelain like skin, thick, wavy, dark brown hair cascading down to her mid back, a cute button nose and red lips. She was wearing a loose, pastel pink sweater paired with white jeans and pink converse.
I don't know what happened. I just realized that I was heading to where she was.
When I saw the guys staring at her, I can't help but feel a little possessive about her.
"I'm Blake by the way. Blake Daniels," I said, offering her my hand.
"Serena Lewis." She grabbed my hand and shaked it a little. Damn, her hand is so soft I can hold it all day.
"Anything else you're buying for your room? Let me help you," I offered. The truth is, I was just looking for an excuse to spend more time with her.
"Just a few LED string lights and I'm good to go," she said after checking her list.
"Let me lead the way." I winked at her making her blush as red as a tomato.
"How about you? Are you done with your stuffs?" she asked in a soft, velvety voice. Her voice was so hypnotizing. Everything about her is beautiful.
"Yup, finished grabbing some stuffs for my nana's garden," I answered, rubbing the back of my neck.
"That's so sweet." She smiled. "Not all guys help their grandmas." Her remark made my cheeks heat up. Damn, this is my first time blushing because of what a girl said.
"It's nothing, I love helping her. Anyways, here we are," I announced when we reached the LED lights section. She grabbed a couple of LED string lights and dropped them in her cart.
We headed to the cashier to pay for our stuffs. Tsk. It's time to part ways.
"Do you need help carrying the bags? I can carry them to your home." I know, it's a lame excuse to spend more time with her and to know where she lives.
"Nope, you've done so much. And they're not that heavy. Thanks for the offer though. I guess this is goodbye then?" I didn't want to part with her yet.
"I guess so, it was nice meeting you Ser." I smiled, but deep inside I was sad. I somehow became attached to her in our little of time knowing each other.
"It was nice meeting you too, 'til we see each other again." She waved at me and started walking away. When will we ever meet again though?
A realization came to my mind. I forgot to ask for her number!
This is it.
I took a deep breath before entering the hallway of Jocson High.
I forced myself to get up this morning. I was so tired from painting and decorating my room, but it was worth it.
I went straight to the room that says 'Secretary's Office'. Knocking on the door, I slowly opened it.
"Come in dear," said the girl seated in the table with a school secretary written in a marble on top of it.
I smiled at her too, entering the room and closing the door behind me.
"You must be Serena, the new student," she said opening the drawer on her table.
"That's me," I answered, tucking a few loose hair behind my ear.
"Here's your schedule, locker number and combination." She handed me a piece of paper with the information.
"Welcome to Jocson High. I hope you have a fun time here," she welcomed me with a wide smile. I hope so too.
"Thank you." I smiled at her again.
Walking down the hallway, I was looking for my room for my first subject. The school is enormous. Good thing I came early. I still have a lot of time to look.
I glanced at my schedule again when I bumped to something hard.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I'm going."
"Ser?" I looked up and saw a bewildered Blake.
"Blake?" I was too shocked to say anything.
"Yeah, didn't expect to see you here." My thoughts exactly Blake.
"Why do I look that old to you?" I joked. He laughed showing his dimples.
"No. I mean, I didn't expect you to study in this school," he explained.
"Uhm Blake, this is the only school in this area," I pointed out, laughing a little. Mom told me this was the only school in this place.
"Oh, right. I'm sorry, got a little confused which is weird cause I lived here since I was born, so I should know and now I keep talking - fuck," he rambled, his cheeks turning a slight hint of red. He covered his face with his right hand and took a deep breath.
I covered my mouth with my hands, trying to suppress my laugh which I failed in doing so.
"You find that funny?" He asked incredulously. I nodded my head still laughing, making him sigh.
"Atleast I made you laugh. Let me see your schedule if we have any match." I handed him my schedule hoping that we do have some same subjects. It would be nice to have someone you know in class.
"Wow, we have the same classes," he said, looking at my schedule amazed. I silently screamed inside. I guess luck is on my side this school year.
"First class is Chemistry. We need to get going then, the professor is a terror," he said grabbing my arm and dragged me down the hallway.
"Is that Blake holding a girl?"
"Who's the girl?"
"Is she Blake's girlfriend?"
Whispers can be heard when we entered the room. Blake didn't mind them and went straight to the back of the room where two other guys sat. They're twins.
"Who's this Blakey?" asked the one with brown hair.
"Isn't it obvious? She's Blake's girlfriend, dimwit," the one with the black hair remarked.
"No, she's my friend. Ser, these are Payne and Payton. Guys, this is Serena," Blake introduced. I smiled and waved at them a little.
My eyes drifted to the corner of the room. There was a guy wearing black leather jacket and he was staring intensely at me. His stare was the one that makes you shiver.
"You can sit here Ser." I broke my gaze at the guy and sat beside Blake.
"Thanks."
An old woman, which I guess was the professor, entered the room. Blake was right, she absolutely looks scary.
"Everyone, settle down!"
