Chapter 1: (part 2)

I'm updating early because I do not think I will have the chance to update on Saturday. Enjoy!

In our last update, Rosalind Price has arrived, and met the Beasts, but is there more to her than meets the eye? Find out by reading on.

Rosalind Price

The one to Hunter's left speaks up, "She might not be here for any of us. Maybe she's here to investigate the entire state of Rhodes Island up and disappearing. She looks government."

Ward stares at the one who spoke up. "I think you're right, Mack. I told Fitz she wasn't to be trusted. I think we should chase her off."

Mack. He had strong muscles. His face was particularly lizard like. He had a tongue that kept flicking in and out of his mouth. He had spikes like Ward, only they naturally stuck upward. He had horns like a bull. Despite his lizard like face, his skin was brown and flaky. His tail looked like a scorpion's and it split off into two tails at the base..

The last beast responds to Ward, "You don't know that she can't be trusted. Besides, she might actually be for one of us."

Ward scowls, but doesn't argue. "Fine. Dr. Garner. Just don't say I didn't warn you. And if what I say proves to be true, I get bragging rights."

Dr. Garner was surprisingly well muscled for a doctor. He had a mane of sorts shaped like dreadlocks. He was gray. His tail was whip-like.

I wonder if this was it.

However, the beasts are staring out in the forest, like they were waiting for something. Two more beasts come out of the woods.

"Coulson. Lincoln." Ward nods to each beast in turn.

Coulson had feathers and wings. He had bear claws and brown fur. His face was shaped like a bear cub's. He had a white tailed deer's tail.

Lincoln, on the other hand, had wolf claws and body. His face was as wolfish as Ward's, and his tail was lizard like and ended with a mace. His eyes were cat like and so were his ears. He had bone spiking out at his shoulders.

Ward and Dr. Garner scowl at the pair. Ward stalks off into the forest, "Hope you all have fun. Don't say I didn't warn any of you."

"What's up with him?" Coulson asks amiably.

Dr. Garner sighs, "He seems to think this nice lady here is trouble. He said so himself. Mack seems to agree."

Coulson looks at me, and he seems to be shocked. "I can't imagine her being trouble. I wonder what set Ward off."

"I don't know. Maybe that he doesn't have any friends?" Dr. Garner snarks. "You know what I think about isolating him, Coulson."

Coulson growls, his sharp bear teeth showing. "And you know why we can't trust him, Dr. Garner. Don't you remember what happened to Fitzsimmons?"

"I'm seeing an awful lot of unforgiveness, and Ward's paying the price. I've been hosting therapy sessions, and he shows up but never speaks. He just looks at the ground." Dr. Garner exhales, disappointed, "You are wasting his potential."

"We don't need him." Coulson argues.

"Stubborn and prideful. You are going to be the end of us!"

"I said we don't need him!"
