The doors burst open and Rose and The Doctor led the way outside, followed closely by Willa and Philby. The last three seemed weary but curious, they followed at a slower pace.
"Wow,"Finn said thinking about how this is exactly what he thought the future should look like. Flying vehicles, complex skyline.
"Welcome to New Earth!" The Doctor said happily.
"New New York!" Rose added, just as enthusiastic.
"Technically this is the 15th New York to be built,"Philby was saying and then turned to Willa, seeing if she wanted to finish, which she did.
"As Earth began to die, Humans expanded. This planet can provide life, water, everything like our Earth. So we moved here. New Humans! Races of humans and other species," Willa added very excitedly, failing at her attempt to not look like she was showing off.
"Brilliant!" said the Doctor looking impressed at them.
Willa's face flushed.
Suddenly the broad smile left the Doctor's face and he showed grave worry.
"That's not right..." he said under his breathe.
"What's wrong Doctor, trouble?" Rose asked him.
He nodded,"Oh yes."
"What's happening. You all seemed exited 'yahoo! Time travel!' now you look all 'we're about to die' and don't tell me you're not, we all know that face well." Maybeck said in response to the gloomy looks. Finn and Charlene watched Willa and Philby look around for what was wrong knowing they have a chance at noticing.
"Get in the TARDIS. Now. I can take you somewhere else if you'd like but not this not here, Rose me and you'll need to come back and fix this later."
Suddenly a terror crossed Willa and Philby's. Pure terror. The kind they have in the parks at night and are sure they are about to die. Philby grabbed and squeezed Willa's hand. Through their paralyzingly fear they were wearing broad grins.
"If you think we are getting back in that box, you are terribly mistaken", Philby spoke for himself and the girl who's hand he held as they stared directly without so much as blinking, at a statue of a crying angel.
