As you rode up the hill, you noticed a couple handing out cups of water to the bikers. Most of the kids would love out of the way, as of avoiding them. You rode past them as you payed them no mind. As the hill got steeper, Luca managed to catch up to you. "Go on ahead, Luca." You said. Luca nodded as he passed by you at a fast pace. You looked up and saw Oswald jumping from roof to roof. Hopefully everything goes well. You looked up at the sky and noticed the dark clouds looming over you. Oh, no. Luca! You pedaled as hard as you could to catch up.

Giulia was struggling up the hill when Ercole passed by her, slapping the back of her head. "Oops! Scusa." Ercole said. Giulia growled in anger. "I'll catch you on the..." Giulia gagged, almost throwing up. "... downhill!" Giulia finished. "Spewlia, you never even made it to the downhill." Ercole said before laughing. His laughing stopped when Luca passed by him. "What?" Ercole said as he tried to catch up. However, Luca proved to be faster than Ercole. "Impossibile! He's cheating! Arbitro! Arbitro!" Ercole shouted as Luca got further and further away from him.

Luca was focused on getting to the downhill until a raindrop fell in him, causing part of his arm to turn to scales. "Huh?" Luca asked as more raindrops fell on him. "No, no, no, no, no!" Luca exclaimed as he eyed the crowd nervously. Everyone got out their umbrellas as Luca quickly sought shelter from the rain. He stopped his bike and quickly dried his arms before anyone could notice. "Oh, not now! Come on, come on! I'm so close!" Luca said in frustration as he stared at the downhill. Luca looked down in defeat until a voice called out to him.

"Luca!"

Luca looked up to see a giant blue umbrella running towards him. The umbrella lifted up to reveal Alberto underneath, protected form the rain. "Just stay right there!" Alberto shouted. "Alberto." Luca said as he smiled brightly. "I'm coming for you!" Alberto shouted as he continued to run towards Luca. Luca's smile faded as Ercole stopped next to him. "What's wrong, piccoletto? Afraid of a little rain?" Ercole asked mockingly as he hit Luca's helmet. "Hey!" Alberto yelled. Ercole turned his attention to Alberto. "For the last time, you two don't belong here. Get out of my town!" Ercole shouted as he rode down the hill towards Alberto. He kicked Alberto as he passed by, causing Alberto to let go of the umbrella and drop to the floor. It didn't take long for the rain to change Alberto to a sea monster for the people to see.

Luca gasped, worried for his friend. Ercole laughed until he yelped in surprise and stopped his bike. "Sea monster! Right there!" Ercole shouted as he pointed to Alberto. Alberto stood and looked around, witnessing the expression of horror on everyone's face. "Ciccio! My harpoon! Veloce!" Ercole demanded as he ran to Alberto. You and Giulia made it to the hilltop, only to gasp  to find Alberto exposed. Oh, no... Oswald stood next to you. "He needs to get out of here before someone hurts him!" Oswald said. "Alberto..." Luca said as he tried to leave his shelter to get to him. "No, stop! Just stay there." Alberto quickly said, causing Luca to stop. "You're still okay." Alberto smiled before facing Ercole. "Andiamo!" Alberto shouted as he ran towards Ercole. "Alberto, wait!" Luca called out. Ercole grabbed a net nearby and threw it on Alberto, causing Alberto to trip and fall. "No!" Luca shouted.

Luca's face furrowed as he gripped the handles of his bike and began to ride down towards Alberto. "Santa eccola." Giulia exclaimed quietly as Luca turned into his sea monster form without any fear in his eyes. Luca reached his hand out to Alberto, who reached his hand out to Luca. Luca grabbed Alberto, freeing him from the net, and sat Alberto behind him as they rode down the hill. "Woah! You really are crazy!" Alberto said. "Learned it from you! Let's get to the water!" Luca said back. "No! Ciccio!" Ercole yelled. Ciccio quickly came to Ercole's side with his harpoon. "Here it is." Ciccio said. Ercole grabbed his harpoon angrily before getting on his bike and chasing after Luca and Alberto. "Quick! Get on!" You said to Oswald. Oswald jumped onto your bike before you rode down the hill. Giulia soon followed after.

As you raced down the hill, Giulia screamed from behind. You and Oswald turned around to witness a giant Heartless manifesting behind Giulia. The dark cloud cleared to reveal a giant anglerfish crawling through the streets on four stubby legs, the Heartless emblem prominent on its chest. The Heartless roared before biting at Giulia, missing by an inch. "Giulia! Get in front of us! We'll handle this!" You shouted as you slowed your bike down. Giulia sped up and passed you, catching up to Ercole. Oswald stood up and summoned his Keyblade. "Y/N! Keep the bike steady!" Oswald said. You nodded and focused on the road ahead.

The Heartless roared again as it tried to bite you two. You quickly swerved away before it could. Oswald readied his Keyblade and began to attack. As the Heartless took more damage, Oswald raised his Keyblade to the air. "Thundaga!" Oswald yelled. The sky got darker as lightning struck down at the Heartless, causing it to screech in pain. "Alright!" You cheered. The small celebration was short lived as the Heartless opened its wide mouth and shot water projectiles at you. You gasped as you quickly dodged the projectiles. However, the last projectile hot you and Oswald, causing you both to take damage. You nearly lost balance of your bike, but we're quickly able to take control and straighten the bike.

You looked behind you and saw Oswald wiping his eyes to see clearly. You saw the Heartless charging at you with such speed. No! You quickly summoned your Keyblade and threw it at the Heartless. Your Keyblade landed a hit on a Heartless, causing it to stagger back. You swiftly caught your Keyblade as it came back to you like a boomerang. Wow! I didn't know I could do that! Oswald was able to clear his vision. "Let's finish this!" Oswald yelled before attacking the Heartless. As the Heartless was starting to slow down, Oswald raised his Keyblade and another lightning struck down on the Heartless. The Heartless screeched until it slumped down on the ground and dissolved to nothing, a heart floating to the sky. "Yeah!" You cheered.

You looked forward and saw Ercole raise his harpoon, his harpoon shrouded in darkness. "Guys!" You yelled. Alberto looked behind him and yelped at the raised harpoon. Ercole threw the harpoon at Luca and Alberto. "Luca, look out!" Alberto yelled as he quickly directed Luca to the side. The two rode on top of a ramp and through an open window. Ercole grabbed his harpoon back as everyone rode down the hill. Luca and Alberto eventually came back through a small stairway and landed behind Ercole.

You, Oswald, and Giulia caught up to Luca and Alberto as Ercole stood on his bike. "You should've left when I told you. Now, I gotta kill some sea monsters!" Ercole declared before laughing evilly. "I don't think so!" You pointed your Keyblade at Ercole. "Water!" You yelled. To your surprise, water shot out of your Keyblade and hit Ercole in the face. Ercole yelped as water got in his eyes and was trying to regain his balance. "So long, evil empire of injustice." Giulia said before she collided her bike against Ercole's. Giulia and Ercole were sent flying and rolling on the ground as their bikes broke.

Luca and Alberto passed by them without hitting anyone, but you and Oswald stopped in your tracks. "No!" Luca yelled as he and Alberto watched Giulia struggle to get up. "Giulia!" Alberto yelled worriedly. Luca quickly stopped his bike before they could reach the water. You and Oswald quickly got off your bike and rushed to Giulia. "Hold on, Giulia. You're gonna feel better in a moment." Oswald said as he raised his Keyblade. "Cure!" Oswald yelled. Giulia glowed green as she began to feel better. Luca and Alberto rushed to Giulia as the green glow faded. "Mostri marini! Give me that!" Massimo said as he grabbed someone's harpoon. "Giulia. Are you alright?" Luca asked as he and Alberto kneeled next to her. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm... I'm okay." Giulia answered as Luca and Alberto helped her up. Giulia smiled. "Thanks, guys."

Giulia gasped as Massimo pushed his way through the crowd with his harpoon. Massimo gasped. "Giulietta?" Massimo asked, surprised. "Papà! I..." Giulia stammered. Massimo observed Luca and Alberto as Alberto looked down. Many more townsfolk approached them, harpoons pointed at Luca and Alberto. You and Oswald quickly stood in front of them to protect them. "You're not going anywhere. Come on." One man said as they all got closer. "I saw them first! The reward is mine!" Ercole shouted from behind as he held his harpoon. You all turned around and glared at him. "We're not afraid of you!" Luca said. "No, but we're afraid of you. Everyone is horrified and disgusted by you, because you are monsters." Ercole said. "Stop! They're not monsters!" Giulia retorted. "Oh, yeah? Who are they, then?" Ercole asked the crowd.

"I know who they are."

Everyone turned their attention to Massimo, who stepped forward to the kids. All three kids looked up at Massimo in worry while you and Oswald stood behind them, ready if anything happened. "They are Luca and Alberto, and..." Massimo answered as he dropped his harpoon. Massimo walked to Alberto and grabbed his hand. "They are the winners." Massimo announced as he raised Alberto upwards. The crowd exclaimed as you and Oswald smiled. "What?" Luca asked in disbelief. "Really?" Alberto asked, also in disbelief. "They can't be the winners. They're not even people!" Ercole shouted. "Of course they're people. They have hearts inside of them, just like all of us. That alone makes them people like us. I suppose the only one who doesn't have a heart is you." You said, pointing your finger at Ercole.

"Signora Marsigliese?" Massimo asked. Everyone stepped aside as Marsigliese was kneeled next to Luca and Alberto's bike, which was laying past the finish line. "Technically, legally, yes, they won." Marsigliese confirmed. The crowd gasped. "We won?" Alberto asked as they all smiled. "Who cares if they won? They are sea monsters." Ercole said to the crowd. The people holding nets and harpoons talked amongst themselves, unsure which course of action to take. You and Oswald glared at them as a warning as Massimo stood behind you guys, clearing his throat and raising an eyebrow at them. The people groaned as they walked away, not wanting to face Massimo.

"What? Come on!" Ercole yelled. You, Oswald, and the kids grabbed Ercole's harpoon and broke it in half. "Ciccio! Guido! Another harpoon." Ercole demanded. However, when Ciccio and Guido didn't do anything, Ercole faced them. "Ah, idioti! Be useful for once in your pathetic lives." Ercole insulted. "Guido." Ciccio said as he turned to Guido. "Ciccio." Guido said as he turned to Ciccio. Both boys grabbed Ercole and threw him in the fountain, making him more wet than he already was. Both boys even dropping his wool sweater in the fountain to add insult to injury.

You smiled at the scene. Justice. "It's over, the reign of terror. It's finally over!" Giulia exclaimed as she jumped in excitement. "Luca!" Both of Luca's parents yelled as they abandoned their protection from the rain and ran to Luca. The townspeople gasped as Luca's parents transformed to their sea monster form. "You had us worried half to death, and you must never do that again!" Daniela, Luca's mom, shouted as she held Luca. "I'm sorry." Luca apologized. "And you raced your little tail off and kicked so much human butt! And I'm so proud of you, and I am so mad at you!" Daniela continued before embracing Luca and crying. "I love you, Mom." Luca said as he hugged back. "Son." Lorenzo, Luca's dad, said as he joined in on the embrace. Daniela looked at the four of you, all of you smiling at her. Daniela smiled back.

Daniela and Lorenzo stepped aside as Marsigliese approached the kids with a trophy. "Signore e signori, the winners of this year's Portorosso Cup, the underdogs." Marsigliese happily announced as she handed the kids the trophy. All three exclaimed in awe as they stared at the trophy. The kids of the town cheered as they ran to Luca, Alberto, and Giulia. You and Oswald stepped aside and let them have their moment of celebration. Everyone in the crowd began to cheer, having ripped up the wanted poster for sea monsters and finding out two ladies that have been living in Portorosso for a while were actually sea monsters themselves.

Everyone was celebrating at the Marcovaldo household as Luca, Alberto, and Giulia rode through the streets in their new Vespa they bought with their prize money. You and Oswald were following close behind along with some other kids. Their Vespa was a it broken down, but still worked just fine. "Feast your eyes on the greatest Vespa the world has ever seen!" Alberto shouted as he drove the Vespa to the backyard. The Vespa came to a stop and the engine sputtered. "Perfect." Alberto said as Luca end Giulia laughed. You and Oswald smiled as they began to play.

Massimo was serving pasta to all the guests, including Luca's parents. It wasn't long until Luca's grandma sat down next to Daniela. "Signora." Massimo said as he gave her a plate of trenette. "Grazie." Luca's grandma said as she started to eat. "Mom! What are you doing here!?" Daniela asked. "I come to town most weekends." Luca's grandma answered as she ate her trenette. Daniela smiled she watched her son play with his friends, with you and Oswald joining in on the fun. "What he did today was amazing. But we can't let him stay in this world. Can we?" Daniela asked. "Some people, they'll never accept him. But some will. And he seems to know how to find the good ones." Luca's grandma said.

"So, where will you go first?" Giulia asked you guys. "We don't know. But wherever we go, we'll always be ready to help others." You said. Oswald nodded in agreement with a smile. "And you two?" Oswald asked Luca and Alberto. "We're gonna stick around here for a bit. We gotta fix this thing up before we take it across the entire Earth." Alberto answered. "Okay. Just don't forget to pack." You said. Giulia then gasped in realization. "Santo Gorgonzola! I need to pack! For school!" Giulia exclaimed. "Oh, yeah, school. You're gonna learn so much." Luca said, slightly disappointed. "Um, I can leave you some books." Giulia said. Luca's face lit up. "You can?" Luca asked. Giulia nodded as she motioned for them to follow her. You and Oswald followed her with Luca close behind. "Come on, Alberto!" Luca said excitedly as he entered the household. Alberto looked between his Vespa and Luca for a few seconds. He smiled before he went inside.

With the help of everyone, Giulia was all packed and ready to leave to Genova. You, Oswald, Luca, and Alberto were at the train station to bid Giulia farewell. "And you have your lunch for the train?" Massimo asked. "Si." Giulia answered. "Sweater? If it gets cold?" Massimo asked. "For the millionth time, si." Giulia hugged Massimo. "I love you too, Papà." Giulia said before letting go and grabbing her luggage. "Santa mozzarella, we did it." Giulia said. "We sure did." You said. "Well, Giulia, can't wait to race next summer." Alberto said. "Or we could just have fun." Giulia said before hugging Luca and Alberto. "Ciao, Giulia." Luca said as he and Alberto hugged back. "Bye, Giulia. Have fun in school." Oswald said. Giulia got on the train with her luggage. "Ciao, ragazzi. A presto." Giulia said. You and Oswald waved goodbye as Giulia winked at Alberto. Alberto winked back without Luca noticing.

Luca sighed. "We'll, let's go fix up our Vespa." Luca said as he began to walk away. "Yeah, about that. Uh... It's a crazy thing. I might have sold it." Alberto said as he handed Luca a train ticket to Genova. You and Oswald smiled. "We pitched in as well." Oswald said. Luca stared at the ticket before looking up at Alberto. "Luca?" Daniela said, catching Luca's attention. Luca tuned around to find his parents and his grandma standing behind him. "Mom? What are you all doing here?" Luca asked. Daniela kneeled down to reach Luca's eye level. "If you promise to write to us every single day and be as safe as possible, and I mean safer than safe, you can go to school." Daniela said.

Luca gasped. "I can?" Luca asked. Lorenzo handed Luca a luggage with clothes inside. "It's all arranged, actually. You'd stay with Giulia and her mom." Lorenzo said. "Your friend talked them into it. It wasn't easy." Luca's grandma said as Alberto shuffled his feet on the floor. "Luca, do you promise?" Daniela asked. "Yes! Yes, I promise! Thank you." Luca said as he hugged his mom. Lorenzo and Luca's grandma joined in. "Oh. Just remember, we are always here for you. Okay?" Daniela said as she began to tear up. "Hey. Look me in the eye. You know I love you, right?" Luca asked with a smile. Daniela chuckled softly. "I know." Daniela said. Luca kissed her cheek as Daniela kissed his cheek.

"Come on, Alberto. The train's gonna leave." Luca said as he was walking to the train with his luggage. Luca stopped once he noticed Alberto didn't have a luggage. "Where's your stuff?" Luca asked. "Yeah, well, you see..." Alberto began. "You are coming, right?" Luca asked. "Um, I would, but Massimo asked if I wanted to stick around. Move in maybe. And I just thought, uh... I think he needs me." Alberto said before chuckling. "You know?" Alberto asked.

Luca looked at Alberto. "I can't do it without you." Luca said. "No matter where you go, Alberto will always be with you. In your heart." You said. "They're right. You're never without me." Alberto said as he handed Luca the drawing of them together on a Vespa, taped back together. "The next time that you jump off a cliff or tell Bruno to quit bothering you, that's me." Alberto said. "But how am I gonna know you're okay?" Luca asked. Tears swelled up in Alberto's eyes as he hugged Luca. Luca hugged back, tears swelling up as well. "You got me off the island, Luca." Alberto pulled back, sniffing. "I'm okay." Alberto said, smiling. Luca softly smiled back.

The train engine hissed as the horn blew as Luca got on the train. "You're gonna have an amazing time at school. Take care and have fun, Luca." You said. Luca smiled. "Thanks, Y/N." Luca said. Luca turned to Alberto and did their handshake. "Piacere, Girolamo trombetta." Alberto said. I wonder what that translates to. Luca chuckled. "Seriously, what does that mean?" Luca asked. "No idea. Go find out for me, will ya?" Alberto asked the train started to move. Luca and Alberto let go as the train got faster. Alberto ran alongside Luca until he jumped in the rain, turning to his sea monster form. "Go, Luca! Go! Yeah! Whoo-hoo!" Alberto cheered until Luca was out of sight.

You and Oswald smiled as some tears started to form. "We better get going to the next world." Oswald said to you. Alberto ran to you and Oswald. "You guys are leaving?" Alberto asked. "Yeah. We have some work to do." Oswald said. "Well, thanks for everything." Alberto thanked. "It's no problem. We were happy to help out. Take care, Alberto." You said. Alberto smiled before walking to Massimo. "So, you ready to head to the next world?" Oswald asked. You smiled. "I'm ready to learn about what's out there, and to learn more about myself." You answered. Oswald smiled as you both walked away, leaving this world.
