Seifer, Fuu, Rai and Vivi noticed what Roxas did. The blonde haired teen looked at Max and sighed. He walked up to her and placed his hand onto her shoulder. She looked up at him with an emotionless face.

"You okay, cutie?" She felt like rolling her eyes at this but noticed the concerned tone he used. She sighed at this and nodded.

"Yeah, I guess…" She mumbled and turned around. Just as she was about to walk away, she shrieked. There was an immense pain on her right ankle.

"Maximum!" He exclaimed. "What happened?"

"My…ankle…" She tried walking but couldn't. "I can't walk!" Max exclaimed and Seifer took her hand. He wrapped it around his shoulder and placed his other hand on her waist to support her.

"W-what are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm helping you, cutie." He answered and they started walking off. The pain was excruciating and unbearable.

"You need to go to the medic's store." Seifer said.

"Well, I want to go to my friends, take me to the Usual Spot, jerk." He rolled his eyes.

"No, we're going to the medic's store now!" He growled and she huffed at this.

"I'm not even gonna even try. I'm too tired to argue with you, jerk." He took her to the medic's store. Her ankle was wrapped with a bandage and there was a pack of ice inside the bandage. Her shoe and sock was in her hand and the blonde haired jerk took her to the Usual Spot.

Hayner, Pence and Olette were sitting down eating ice cream and Roxas was standing in front of the brown eyed teen. When Hayner saw Seifer he growled but his gaze softened when he saw Max. The blonde haired boy stood up.

"Max…SEIFER! What are you doing here?" They all turned to them and Roxas blinked until he saw Seifer holding Maximum tight.

"Do you seriously think that I, Seifer, would want to be here?" Seifer asked and Max rolled her eyes at this.

"Max, but why are you with him?" Hayner asked and just as the girl was about to answer, the jerk answered for her.

"The chicken wuss ran off, not even realising that his girl was injured. Cutie sprained her ankle." Olette ran up to Max and hugged her.

"Are you okay?" She asked and pulled away.

"Yeah, I am." She glared at Roxas. Seifer stomped up to Roxas and grabbed him by the collar.

"Seifer." She growled.

"You're one lucky kid Roxas, don't you forget what you really have. If you don't apologise to cutie, I'll take care of you, personally." He threatened and let go of him. Just as Seifer was about to leave, Max said something.

"Hey jerk!" She called out. "Thanks..." she mumbled.

"Hmph, your welcome, cutie. Make sure you root for me in the tournament tomorrow." She huffed at this and he walked off.

"Bastard won't know what's coming." She whispered and Roxas rushed up to her.

"Are you okay? How's your ankle?" He asked worried and she looked up at his eyes.

"Senpai actually notices me now?" She asked with a glare and turned around. She walked off slowly, but that excruciating pain was there.

For the first time, it started raining and Max was walking through the rain. Roxas ran after her.

"MAXIMUM!" He called out and she stopped.

"Roxas, leave me alone." She coldly said and he walked up to her.

"No, I'm not going to leave you alone. Max…" He wrapped his arms around her waist but she pushed him away. She begun to walk away, but then the excruciating pain made her scream. She fell into a puddle and Roxas ran up to her. He pulled her up and held her closely against her.

"Maxie, I'm sorry. I'm so, so, so sorry!" He whispered in her ear and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I won't leave you like this again." He placed his hands onto her cheeks and she stared up into his blue eyes.

"I love you Max. I love you so much that I will never let you go. Please, forgive me, Maxie." A tear fell down his cheek and she nodded.

"I love you too, Roxy. You don't have to apologise, I-" Just as she was about to continue, he cut her off with his lips.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and his grip tightened. She kissed him back and melted. He licked her lips and she opened her mouth allowing him entrance. The kiss became more passionate and intimate. After ten seconds, he pulled away and picked her up, bridal style. Roxas took her home but never took his eyes of hers.

Roxas and Maximum's House…

She sat on their bed and he took out the bandage carefully. He pressed his thumb gently on her ankle, it wasn't swollen anymore but it was slightly purple. She hissed with pain and he frowned.

"It still hurts, doesn't it?" She nodded at this and he got up. He went into the bathroom and came back with a box of cream in her hand. He opened it and massaged her ankle with the cream.

"I hope it'll be okay to fight in tomorrow's tournament." She mumbled.

"If you can't fight, then don't. I don't want you to get hurt." He said and she smiled at this. When he was finished, he stood up and just as he was about to go back into the bathroom, she grabbed his wrist. He looked at her and she smirked.

"You've been a very naughty boy, Roxas…" She said and he got the idea. He too smirked at her.

"Are you gonna punish me, Maxie?" He asked.

"You deserve it." She said and he got onto the bed. His knees were next to both her sides and he pinned her down. He leaned down and kissed her neck. She gripped onto his blonde hair and whispered her name with pleasure. He pulled away and stared at her with a lustful look. She wrapped her arms around his neck and Roxas kissed her hungrily.

The silverette stood by a pod, looking up at the older brunette. He was close to awakening, almost done. Naminé said he would be the first to awaken since he was sharper and smarter than the others in the pods. After a little bit more waiting, it opened up to reveal the one person who try to warn the silverette of his own darkness. The brunette boy slightly opened his eyes and saw him.

"Riku?" The silverette boy flinched and put up his hood, running off. The boy in the pod yawned and stretched a bit. He rubbed his eyes and blinked several times. Riku wasn't there and he just marked it off as a mind trick.

The boy got out of the pod and saw Donald and Goofy. He was worried but then realized that they were asleep. He ran on ahead and went to the next room. This room was a blinding white and there was a huge pod. He gasped and looked closer. That brown spikey hair...

"Sora!" He ran up to the pod and put his hands on it. He tried to open it but it was no use. He sighed in defeat and continued looking at him.

"This is my fault..." He shot around at the familiar voice. He was in a black coat and his hood was up.

"Riku?" The figure nodded and walked to his side. "You're out of the realm of darkness? What happened? Are you okay?"

"Just fine..." he looked down. "Though, I can't face him once he wakes... Now that Mai is..." He sighed and turned to her casket like pod. Kenji shook his head at this.

"Mai can't die! She just can't..." He followed his gaze, gasping at the sight of her. "M!" He ran up to her and looked at her.

She was pale as a ghost. No movement stirred from her, not even a single heart beat in her chest. Her inanimate figure laid there, possibly for ever.

"Do... you remember what happened?" Riku asked and the boy placed a hand on top of her pod. He closed his blue eyes as a tear fell.

He did indeed remember.

She sacrificed everything for the sake of her friend and her love... and no one could say or do anything to change her mind. Everyone knew that. The loud boom played in his mind like a recording of a damning message. He remained quiet and simple nodded.

Riku sighed heavily. "Noel... I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused..."

"You have to face Sora, too. He loved her-"

"I know, but I... don't know if I can." He looked down. "Even she doesn't wake up, I don't even deserve to apologize to them. Noel, when Mai, Sora, Donald, and Goofy... If Mai wakes up, could you please don't tell them that you saw me."

The brunette sighed. 'This was what he was dealing with, huh? A life of a past he regretted? A life of utter silence and solitude?'
