No one's POV

They walked everywhere and even went through the Sandlot to find the station. The redhead was looking at Sora with a pink hue on her face. He has grown up so much yet he was still so cute in her eyes. Suddenly, the spikey brunette boy turned his head, feeling her look at him. They continued to walk in silence but it looked like they were having a conversation with their eyes. She felt herself jolt forward, tripping over a rock, "Whoa!"

"I gotcha!" Sora caught her in his arms and she stared into his eyes, turning a darker red.

"Hehe, still clumsy..." She nervously laughed and he pecked her lips, helping her stand straight. She was shocked; he actually had the courage to kiss her. It was like a dream come true.

"I won't have it any other way, baby." He slyly said and surprised her again with the new nickname for her. He was so cute, she felt her head spin.

"Alright, you two! Break it up!" Donald said and they pulled away, much to Mai's dismay.

"Don't forget we have to find the king!" Goofy said and they got a glare that could go through hearts like a bullet would. They didn't see it as they lead the way to the town square but Sora saw her.

He chuckled softly, "Are you okay?"

"That was rude of them, interrupting us like that! Goofy was more polite but Donald? Totally rude!" She looked at them, still glaring. Sora wrapped his arms around her waist and put his head on her back, which caused her to shiver a bit.

"Calm down, you'll get your chance with me. For now, we need to go. Okay?" He asked and she felt her heart flutter in her chest.

"O-okay..." She nodded and was now flustered. He turned from cute and innocent to sexy and flustering in the matter of seconds.

They ran all over the town square which also seemed it was a market place. It wasn't as big as the one in Agrabah, but still huge. Finally, they heard from town locals that the station was on the highest hill in the town.

When they arrived at the highest point, they looked around and Mai raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, this is the station so where's King Mickey?" She asked and then suddenly something white with a sinuous body appeared in front of them. She growled at it. "What the hell are you? Move!"

Another appeared and lunged at Sora. She gasped as she saw this and quickly summoned her keyblade, slashing through it. As she did, more appeared and the others summoned their weapons.

"I take it, these guys are foes!" Mai growled at them. They started to fight the mysterious enemies and she was faster and stronger again. Her strength seemed to return after a year's near death sleep. But that wouldn't last long as more appeared and they were more tired.

She heavily panted and saw her and her friends were surrounded by them. One lunged at an exhausted Sora, Donald, and Goofy. She got in between them, using a Reflect spell which knocked it back. She collapsed on her hands and knees thanks to her mana, which was all used up. Everyone gasped, "MAI!!"

She looked up and the rest charged at her. Mai closed her bright green eyes and braced herself for an attack from all of them. But nothing came.

She looked up to see a a short person and round ears tucked away under a black hood of a black coat. The hood was covering his face but those ears told her exactly who it was. "Your majesty!"

King Mickey defeated the enemies like they were nothing and held out a keyblade similar to Sora's. Said spikey brunette was on his palms as the princess sat next to him. Donald and Goofy jumped on top of Sora which made the redhead jump a bit as he was flattened underneath them.

Mickey turned to her with a smile. "Thank goodness you're awake! We thought you weren't able to wake up, Princess!"

Mai giggled, hugging him, "I'm too stubborn to die, Mickey. It's really good to see you."

"Your majesty?" Donald asked and he pulled away from her. Sora pushed them off him and looked at him werid.

"King Mickey, you know Mai?" He asked.

"Shhh, you four gotta board the train and leave town! The train knows the way." He said and dug into his pocket. When a heavy pouch was pulled out of it, he gave it to Sora and the blue eyed boy raised an eyebrow, looking at it.

"Your Majesty!" Donald exclaimed and Mai looked from the pouch in her lover's hand. He sprinted off further into town.

"That was... The king?" Sora asked.

"It coulda been... Yep, I know it was!" Goofy said.

"Now we know he's okay!" Donald said, making Mai curious.

"He's okay? Does that mean something happened to him?"

"The king was locked in the Realm of Darkness. So if the king's here, then that means Riku's here too!" Sora said and she looked down.

"Do you think he's okay?" She asked and Sora nodded.

"You forgot who we're talking about. Riku. He's strong enough to handle anything." Donald reminded and she frowned.

"Yeah, but the guilt and responsibility of killing someone, especially a best friend? He must be drowning in guilt." Mai grimly spoke and they sighed.

"Well... let's go find him! If we show him you're okay, he won't be guilty! We'll go back to the islands together. Kairi's waiting for us!"

Mai tilted her head and realized someone was missing. She gasped, "Wait, where's Noel?" The others looked around.

"Oh! Kairi likes him!" Goofy said and Mai nodded.

"We have to look for him again, too!" She said then asked Donald and Goofy, "Are you coming with us?"

"Of course!" Donald exclaimed.

"It's always been all for one and one for all, a-yhuck!" Goofy merrily laughed.

"Alright! Let's stick together for one more journey!" Sora cheered and Mai giggled.

"Yeah!" She grabbed his hand and he looked at her with red cheeks.

"S-so, uh... Where are we going again?" He asked them and Mai blinked.

"Uh..." She looked up at the sky deep in thought.

"We hafta board the train!" Donald told them.

"Oh yeah!" Sora said and Mai nervously laughed.

"I knew that..." Donald sighed at this.

They were walking to the ticket booth until they heard someone calling for them. A voice which made Mai growl. Hayner's voice.

"Hey Sora, Mai!" they turned to see Hayner, Pence, and Olette. Sora saw Mai's eyes glaring at the blonde.

"Flower, be nice!" She turned to him with a glare.

"He was being a dick earlier... and I'm not a kid! Don't talk to me like that." She cleared her throat and put on a fake smile, "Oh hey, Blondie! What do you want?" Sora face palmed himself. Now who was being rude.

"Well, we came to see you off. It seemed like something we oughta do." Olette said and Hayner smiled with a chuckle.

"And that was actually a good one, Mai!" He grinned brightly at her. She smiled.

"I call it like I see it!" She said and they laughed a bit. Sora sighed in relief.

"Thanks for checking in on us, guys." He said.

"Yeah, totally cool of you guys!" She had a peace sign and winked. Sora blushed brightly and turned his head.

"Geez, you're a princess?" Hayner asked and Mai narrowed her eyes at him.

"Excuse me? Just because I'm a princess doesn't mean that I have to act like one."

"That's not how a princess acts tho-"

"Look, I'm a different kind of princess. So don't tell me how to do my job, got it in your head?" She smirked but still glared daggers at him and tapped the side of her head. Hayner gulped.

"Uh... M-message received..."

"Y-you guys need to get your tickets." Olette said.

"Yeah, come on, Mai!" Sora said and grabbed her hand, dragging her to the ticket booth. She stared at their hands the whole time with red cheeks hoping he wouldn't notice it, not that she noticed everything else. That was until he let go of her hand to give the money to the ticketmaster and decide to board the purple and yellow train. Donald and Goofy already boarded the train but the teens were talking with the trio of friends.

"Well, I guess it's time to go... Thanks for see us of, guys." Mai smiled at them and Sora nodded.

"Yeah, see ya later." He put his hands behind his head and stepped back.

"Hey Sora, Mai... You sure we haven't meet before?" Hayner asked.

"Hm... If we did, I would have probably kicked your ass by now!" They laughed at that little comment the redhead made. "But seriously... I don't think we have..."

"You sure?" He asked and Sora spoke up.

"Pretty sure, why?" Sora asked and he grinned, shaking his head.

"Eh, no reason!" He chuckled and smiled. Sora smiled and a tear fell down his cheek. Mai's eyebrows furrowed together and she frowned. She touched his cheek and he touched her hand.

"You okay?" Olette asked

"Y-yeah, I don't know where it came from." Sora said.

"Pull it together!" Hayner said and Mai looked at him.

"Aw, leave him alone. You cry a lot, I bet." She turned to Sora again with a kiss on the cheek. "Can I see a funny face special?" He instantly blushed burgundy, remembering what happened back at Traverse Town when they meet Donald and Goofy. He smiled and looked down. Mai giggled and waited for him to make his face. When he looked back up, he had this wide grin and he looked up. She giggled and hugged him. "See? You are the cutest when you smile, even if it's just being silly. Keep that quality, silly boy."

"Oh, that's easy!" He laughed and Mai snuck another kiss on his cheek, which made him blush brighter.

"So, uh... You two known each other for...?" Pence asked.

"Oh! It's been ten years!" Sora answered brightly.

"Aw, that's so romantic!" Olette said and the two blushed.

"W-well, we still are debating on rather or not we should go out!" Sora said, flustered.

"Y-yeah! W-we still have stuff to work out!" Mai was ditto as Sora.

"Working stuff- you two are acting weirder than usual!" Donald pointed out.

"I thought you two were already together... You know, closer than best friends, a-yhuck!" Goofy said. Mai looked at Sora who meet eyes with her. They shared a quick smile to each other and the whistle blew to let everyone know it was time for them to go.

"See ya later, guys!" Sora called and the four ran I side the train. Mai turned to them and waved before the door closed.

The train left the station and Sora leaned against the door with a frown. Mai pulled him into a hug and he melted into her hug.

"I'm sad, Flower..." He rested his head on her shoulder.

"We'll come here soon. And we'll meet Hayner and those guys again." Goofy said.

"He's right. So..." She picked him up bridal style and walked him to the seats. "No need to worry, got it in your head?" She smiled and kissed his forehead.

"Hey, did you like me calling you baby?" He asked and she nodded with a sheepish smile. "What would you want to call me?"

"I don't know, what do you want to call you?" She asked back.

"Mm..."

"He said he wanted to call you 'pumpkin', a-yhuck!" Goofy said and Sora looked at him with red cheeks.

"I-I never said that!" He was embarrassed and Mai giggled at him.

"Yes you did! Noel was even there!" Donald said with a smirk.

He blushed brighter and felt sleepy. He shyly smiled and rested his head back on her shoulder, falling asleep and feeling safe and sound with her. Mai smiled and peck his lips. "Thank you for always believing in me Sora... I owe you my life and much more. I love you so much and I hope we can stay together forever, pumpkin." He smiled in his sleep. The redhead giggled and cuddled gently up with him. Donald and Goofy smiled at the two; everything was back to normal and how it was meant to be.
