AN Mai's voice actress is Eileen Stevens in English and Aoi Yūki in Japanese. Both ladies are the voice of Iris from Pokémon BW.

There was evil people watching the Princess and her friends from an unknown castle. They had a projection of them.

"Those little squirts took down that heartless!" The first one said. "Who'd have thought it?"

"Such is the power of the keyblade. The children's strength aren't their own." The second one said.

"Why don't we turn them into heartless?" The third one chackled, "that'll settle things quick enough."

"And the brats' friends are the king's lackeys." The fourth said, "Swoggle me eyes, they're all bilge rats by the looks of them. Except the girl, she looks like a bilge mouse."

"Your no prize yourself." The final one laughed as he mocked the fourth.

"Shut up!"

"Enough!" A voice over come the five and they turned their heads to the leader, who just entered the room. "The Angel of Valhalla has chosen this girl. Do you understand what that means? This girl is the Princess of Twilight." The whole room was shocked.

"But that princess in question is a myth!" The second one said, "How can we be sure?"

"Yeah, and she even looks weak." The first one said. "This princess of yours has untold power, right?"

"Looks aren't everything. The bird has chosen her and it knows. Those creatures are highly intelligent."

"You saw what happened, right? She lost her memory." the second one said. "How did she get it back so quickly?"

The female leader looked at the redheaded princess. She was smiling and blushing at the spikey haired boy. The evil fairy was amused by this, "This girl cares for the boy. That bond, I suppose, put a spark in her memories."

"Oh, love..." The third one said, "What a weakness for her to have..."

"Quite..." She had an idea, "He made be the key to that untold power... But for now she needs to be watched." The projection turned to a eighteen year old boy. "This boy has darkness every since that day. He could be useful for our plan.

"Kweh!" The white chocobo chick flew into Mai's cupped hands.

"Thanks for taking care of Snow while we were fighting heartless, Aerith." Mai smiled.

"Snow?" Sora asked.

"Yeah! That's the name I gave him." She smiled and turned back to Aerith.

"You're welcome, Princess Mai." She said and she pouted.

"Please just call Mai." She then smiled, "We're friends, right?"

"Of course!" Aerith smiled.

"Make sure you're prepared for the journey ahead of you." Leon said as he crossed his arms. "We don't know how far the heartless have spread."

"Check out the shops here. They've got some pretty neat stuff!" Yuffie said.

"This is from all of us." Aerith said and gave Mai a bag of munny. "Spend it as you see fit."

"And this is from Leon!" Yuffie gave her a bottle and Mai blushed.

"Oh, uh..." She took it and faced towards Leon, "Thanks, Leon..."

"No problem," her rustled her hair, "Just don't lose your memory again-" she punched his shoulder.

"That's not really funny!" She said, "Sure, 'Sometimes memories need a little help getting out' but doesn't mean I want to lose them!"

Yuffie changed the subject, "Good luck, Princess."

"I hope you find your friends." Aerith said.

"Watch each other's backs and keep your spirits up." Leon said and I nodded. They walked away while we waved them off. The chocobo fell asleep on Goofy's shoulder.

"The Gummi Ship is right outside the gates." Donald said that and Mai and Sora looked at each other.

Mai looked at them, "I'm sorry, the what?"

"It's our ship!" The duck said.

"Wait until you see it!" Goofy said, excitedly.

"Hold on!" Sora said, "Donald can use magic, right?"

"Yeah, I'll teach you if you want to use it." The children nodded and Donald thought them. After they meet Jiminy Cricket just outside of the ship. He was going to track there adventures in a journal. Just before they left, Sora took Mai to a shop to find new glasses.

"Wait out here." Sora said, "I wanna find you a good pair and, no need to worry, I remember your lens number. 2.75, right?"

"Yeah, but why did you remember?" She asked and he blushed.

"Oh, um... No reason!" He dashed into the shop. She giggled and found a lamp post to lean on while waiting.

She hoped not to forget all that has happened anymore and remember the rest of her memories. It has to be something with the stars. A gentle breeze went through her hair as she looked up at the stars, wondering what it was.

Blank. Blank like an empty page.

"Hey there, girl..." A voice snapped her out of her thoughts. There was boy with short brown hair and brown eyes. He wore black jeans and boots, along with a white t-shirt under a black leather jacket. "What's a cutie like you doing here?"

"I'm waiting for a friend." She raised an eyebrow.

"You want to check this place out with me? I never seen you around this place before..." He smirked. Mai widened her eyes; she realized what this guy was after.

"N-no, thank you." She walked passed him and he grabbed her wrist. He then pinned her against the wall. "H-hey!"

"Kenji Leonhart doesn't take no for an answer." He hold down her arms at he sides. She gasped and turned her head when he went for a kiss.

"Sora! Help me!" She shouted.

"Kenji! Stop!" The boy jumped at Leon's voice. He unpinned her and she saw Leon.

"Why would it matter to you, Squall?" Leon frowned at this.

"It's Leon."

"Leon's my friend!" She pushed him back and ran towards Leon. "How do you know him?"

"Tch," he walked away, "Whatever... I'm going home in the Fourth District."

She looked at Leon and opened her mouth to talk but he stopped her. "Where's Sora?"

"He went to get me new glasses." She said but was still curious.

"Hey, Mai!" Sora came running up to them, "Leon, what's going on?"

He glared at him, "Sora, don't ever leave her alone! She almost got into something that is in her desire."

"What?" He looked at Mai, "Wha... Who-?"

"By my brother." He said, bitterly, and the other two gasped.

"He's not anything close to your personality." She said.

"He wasn't always like that." Leon said, crossing his arms, "Before we came to this world nine years ago he was innocent and just a little kid. I'm twenty-three and he's eighteen now. Our parents died right in front of us and every since, his darkness has been developing."

Mai gasped, "Is there anything we can do for him?"

"I don't know..." He sighed.

"We can find your guys' home!" Sora said, grabbing there attention.

"Is it even possible?" Leon asked.

"Come on! 'If you can dream it you can do it', right?" Mai asked and Sora handed her the new glasses. She put them on, adjusting them, and giggled, "Thanks, Sora! This are prefect!"

"No problem!" He grinned.

Off in the distance, Kenji watched her with a feeling in his gut, 'Have I seen her before? So is hot but... Slightly familiar...'

"Hello there, young man." He shot his head around and saw a woman with green skin, horns, and a black cloak.

"Who are you?" He raised his guard up.

"I just arrived here and saw the look in your eyes." She said.

"Look?"

"You wanna get to know that girl, right?" She smiled, "The only thing she cares about is the power that boy bestows."

"I'm stronger then that little man!"

"You're right." She placed a hand on his shoulder, "With the right power, you can be really strong."

He sighed and looked back at her, "I don't wanna hurt her, though. The way I introduced myself wasn't right. I need to be better... both in power and talking to girls, or anyone for that matter!"

"I'll show you all you need to know." The  woman open a dark corridor. "Come child, you'll be stronger than before."

'Can I handle it?' he thought to himself as he walked through it.

Mai shivered as a weird feeling went up and down her spine. "Oh, it's kinda chilly!"

Sora stopped and turned to her. "Are you cold?"

"No, I'm just shivering for the heck of it." She said sarcastically. Sora nervously laughed.

"Hey! Come on, lovebirds!" Donald shouted from the gates. They blushed and walked to the Gummi Ship.
