Before Sora was even thought of, Disney wanted Kingdom Hearts main protagonist to be Donald Duck instead of Mickey Mouse.

It is strange, I know, but I guess they wanted to make one of the side Disney characters a chance in the spotlight for once. Now that Kingdom Hearts is out, Donald Duck did get to star in the game but is notorious for not healing you or always dying the first couple of minutes in a boss fight.

I guess you can say Disney BILLeved in him to be a main character but now made him DUCKing useless because he can die to a single aQUACK from a boss.
