Chapter 10: Familiar Music
I woke up back in the tower but I was outside. I was nervous yet someone's light was familiar; two lights. One light was trapped in darkness and the other seemed contained in something, just not darkness. What was it?
Whatever it was stored in, the last light made me blush slightly. For an instance, I knew it could mean one thing.
"Riku..."

I made it to the Master's study, which was flooded for some reason, yet no one but Mickey was there. In a sense, Mickey looked younger and also had older looking clothes on. That was not the unpleasant factor. The king was the light that was trapped in the darkness.
"Mickey?" It was something I'd never expect.
"Oh, hello there. Do I know you?" He asked, though he didn't move his mouth or open his eyes. Great, another thing I didn't understand. How does he not know me? Is this a dream? Is this a dream of something that happened before Mickey was a king? That would explain the clothes and younger self...
"Oh, I'm Piri. I'm looking for someone." I half lied. Pfft, lying to a king... in the future? I still didn't know but it was lying still.
"Piri. Hmm..."
"Have you seen a boy with silver hair and cyan green eyes? Or maybe... hmm... a boy named Sora?" I asked him. Dammit, I couldn't recall what Sora looked like. Why?
"A boy named Sora? No, I haven't. But I've seen a boy with silver hair."
"Riku was here? Where is he now?" I had to ask. I was worried about him and Sora.
"Yes, he went inside the musical score to find a sound idea- something that can stop this darkness from keeping me in sleep."
"I see... Can I go after-" there was a flash and the boy of my dreams. "Riku!"
He shot his eyes wide open and saw me. "Piri! ...Wait, Piri?" I tackled him into a hug.
"Riku... You're safe..." I smiled up at him.
"What? What's going on?" He asked me. Judging by his face, he had no clue what was happening.
"I'll tell you why after you save Mickey. He said you were going to get a sound idea?"
"Yeah. I have it with me."
"Say, can we try it out?" Mickey asked. Riku brought a sheet music and it was surrounded by light as it floated just above the music score. Riku summoned his keyblade and waved it around like it was a baton. He was a conductor now... charming.
The music that come from the sound idea sounded familiar but I couldn't remember where I heard it from...
We watched it as the piece hit the score with magic light beams but nothing happened.
"Is something supposed to happen?" I inquired. "I mean, Mickey's supposed to be free... Is it not enough?"
Riku sighed and looked down and I sensed another light. It was so warm. I remembered that light. Right on cue, there was another piece of music and it played music. Now that it was a whole, I almost immediately recognized it.
"Riku... Remember?" I asked and he looked away from the music to me. "You said... This song would be the one for our wedding if we ever did get married. I didn't understand then, but know I do."
"Well... I will always be there. No matter what." I raised an eyebrow; he switched to serious mode really quick. "Piri, glad you could make it here by my side. No other time is better than this one."
"Riku? Are you okay?" I asked. My heart skipped a beat when he knee, pulling out a ring.
I teared up and covered my mouth. Oh my gosh... Was he...?
"Piri... Will you do the honors of becoming my bride?" He asked and I sniffed as that tear fell. Oh my gosh... He actually asked me... "P-Piri...?"
I laughed and hugged him tightly, tackling him to the ground, happily crying into his chest. "R-Riku... y-you finally asked..." I left my head up and he cupped my cheek.
"So... Does that mean-?"
"Yes! Yes, I do! I will!" I excitedly said, hugging him. He gasped happily too and hugged me, laughing a bit. I laughed too, but was crying in a very happy way.
We didn't even know, or really care at that moment, that the shallow water flooding the room was gone and Mickey was awake. As the music played, he let magic surround us. We float upright and was standing up. When I opened my eyes, Riku was in a very attractive tux. When I looked down, I saw I was in a gorgeous dress I never ever pictured myself wearing. It was ivory off-the-shoulder long sleeve lace princess wedding dress will Riku's attire was European gold embroidery prince white tux. I checked him out from his head to his feet, course I couldn't help but blush.
"Wow..." He stared at me and I giggled. "You look so beautiful..."
"I feel like a wedding monstrosity..." I nervously and sheepishly smiled and he shook his head. He leaned his forehead against mine, chuckling a bit.
"You really are, though. Take a compliment, baby." We laughed a bit and closed our eyes. We stayed until Mickey politely interupted us.
"Congratulations, you two. Seems you too will be extremely happy together." He said and we giggled looking at him.
"Thanks, Mickey." Riku thanked and I nodded in agreement.
"Hm... That music did have a certain nostalgia to it. Not to mention it seemed like a cheerful composition of music. What caused the other sound idea to appear?" He asked.
Riku and I looked at each other with a smile, knowing the answer. "Sora..."
"Sora? Funny... Just hearing that name kinda makes me wanna smile." Mickey said and I giggled
"Yeah. That's how he is." Riku said and I giggled, remembering more about the spikey brunette. "Sora can find the brightest part of anything."
"And pull off miracles like it's just nothing." I added. "He's helped me through a lot of things."
"It's pretty easy to smile around him." Riku said to Mickey.
"Gosh, it's like each of you is holding on to a little part of the other. Your hearts are always in tune. So they're free to sing."
I chuckled softly, "You say that like we're a radio station." We laughed a bit and Mickey smiled.
"Gosh, I hope I can be part of a team someday." The mouse told us. Me and Riku looked at each other and smiled; if only Mickey past Mickey knew.
A keyhole appeared near the crescent moon window and we looked at it. Riku nodded, "It's time for us to go."
I summoned my keyblade and he summoned his. We aimed them at it and the keyhole bursted with light that pulled up in.
~
We came to this beautiful place, in our normal attires, and it was like a tunnel, a rainbow tunnel. We held each other's hands.
"Wow, this is so beautiful, Riku. Is this how you got in between the worlds?" I asked him.
"Well, the sleeping worlds. Just floating through this tunnel... and I guess it's your turn now." He said with a smile. "So tell me, how did you get here?"
"Oh yeah! I think he might be in trouble." I frowned down at my heart as I held it.
"What do you mean?"
"Well..." I gulped, "H-have you seen anything suspicious? Like the organization?"
"Actually yeah. There was one who told me I'm immune to darkness." He said. He was smiling at me and I nodded, but I still worried. Why am I here? "He said, 'A boy who's immune to darkness is of no use to us.'"
I feel the color drain from my face as I realized something. Sora, the bright shining star, has not been in much contact with darkness.
"Shit..." We both said at the same time. I think he realized who Xehanort was after.
"We can't let Xehanort have his way! Riku, call your heart out for Sora!" I was beginning to deeply worry. "He's life may depend on it."
