13 years ago…

A man with dirt brown hair opened his cobalt eyes when he heard crying from another room, “ D-Daddy! D-Daddy!!” he heard his daughter cry out loud as he groaned lowly sitting up, putting on his slippers and robe as he walked to where the twins slept as he saw how a blue haired toddler was still asleep as he walked over to the other crib and saw the brown haired toddler crying as he picked her up.

 “ What’s wrong my little star?” he asked as she continued to cry, holding onto him tightly as she cried, “ Daddy! Daddy! I had a dream! A really bad dream!” she cried as the man sighed, a small smile on his face as he said, “ A nightmare then…wanna tell me about it?” he asked

She sniffled a little as she said, “ I-I was all alone,running in the halls of the castle, until someone put me in a cage locked up, and it was all dark, and I kept calling out for you, b-but you weren't there!” she cried as he sighed, gently rubbing her back, “ There there...it’s ok..” he told her in a soft voice. 

He looked at the clock and saw it was three in the morning as she held onto him tightly as he got an idea as he walked out of the room and took her to the library as he told her, slowly calming her down, “ There there,Stormy, it's okay; you're okay. When you're scared and you don't know where I am, you must remember: no matter what happens to me, I will never be far away from my special little star..” he told her as he took her to a special place in the library.

 It was the planetarium as he sang to her in a soft voice, turning the lights on in the planetarium. The ceiling as it became different shades of colors as stars and planets showed up, Stormy looked up in wonder and amazement as her tears slowly faded away. 

“It always seems more quiet in the dark

It always feels so stark

How silence grows under the moon

Constellations gone so soon…” he started the song, as he looked up at the planets, a sad look in his eyes as Stormy looked at them, as he sang the song his mother sang to him when he was her age, as he continued the song.

“I used to think that I was bold

I used to think love would be fun

Now all my stories have been told except for one…” he looked down at Stormy with a smile as she looked at him curiously, as she saw a comet fly in the sky, a slight glow coming from it as he sang, a smile on his face. 

“As the stars start to align

I hope you take it as a sign you'll be okay

Everything will be okay…” he sat down on a chair, as she sat in his lap, looking at him as he gave her a hug.

“And if the Seven Rings collapse

Although the day could be my last

You will be okay

When I'm gone you'll be okay..” he sang as she yawned, closing her eyes as she leaned her head on his chest, tired as he smiled as he started to finish the song, after turning the plantarum off, he walked back to her room. 

“And when Creation goes to die

You can find me in the sky

Upon the last day

And you will be okay…” he sang softly as he tucked her back into bed as she was fast asleep, a smile on her face as she slept, cuddling with her stuffed owl, as he left the room, looking at both twins for a moment to make sure they were ok, as he smiled, faintly chuckling as he closed the door behind him, as the twins slept.

A teenage girl woke up, slightly jumping as she heard glass shattering from the kitchen as she groaned loudly as she heard her adoptive mother scream, “ I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU SLEPT WITH THE MAID!!! IN OUR FUCKING BED!!!” “ WELL I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU SLEPT WITH THE BUTLER IN OUR BED ETHER!!!” she heard her adoptive father scream as she sighed, frowning as she stood up and got dressed for the day. She decided to keep her waist long brown hair down for the day, as she used her music pins to keep her bangs out of her face as she got dressed. 

She decided to wear a new outfit that she had gotten from shopping with Kairi. She first put on the white top that had three buttons on it, after she put on a tanktop and shorts on, she put a brown belt on that had a moon in the middle of the belt, as she next put on her teal light jacket, that went to her elbows, and it was flowy, she adjusted the collar as well, to make sure it was straight, she then put on her fingerless gloves as she put on her light blue shoes on, after putting on black socks. She looked in the mirror, as she tried to smile a little, thinking she looked kinda pretty as she heard another thing be thrown as she slightly flinched as she sighed, as she kept hearing yelling. 

She carefully opened the door as she quietly walked down the steps, flinching as a vase flew past her as it almost hit her cheek. She quickly made her way to the kitchen, passing by one of the maids as the maid looked a bit scared as she gave a small curtsy to the teenage girl as a middle age woman with long chestnut hair and brown eyes screamed,” You want to fuck that maid too?!” she screamed, throwing a bowl at a man with greying hair and icy blue eyes, as Stormy just sat down at the table, simply eating her toast as the woman shouted, “ You are a damn embarrassment! I'm not spending another moment looking at your pathetic,useless face!” she shouted, walking out of the room screaming as the man growled as he turned around to stare at Stormy as she slightly flinched when he did that as she kept her head low.

He smiled sweetly as he said, “ Good morning Stormy dear….I hope you slept well.” he said as she kept her head low as she told him, “...I did father…” she told him. “ Good...I looked at your grades from your last day at school, and look at that, straight A’s! It’s like I said, you don’t need friends or worthless things like music or those 2 brats, you just need to study and not focus on trivial things like love or art.” he told her as he drank his coffee, a warm and proud look on his face as Stormy looked down, still not saying anything, since she knew how to play this game. 

 “ Since you’ve been...such a good girl, I’ve decided to allow you to go to those islands today, to do whatever you want, but I expect you to be back home before the sun fully goes down...and Stormy.” he stared at her, the so called warm expression melted away to show a cold stare as he said, “ I hope you remember that conversation we had last night...about your future. I believe you said you wanted to become a pianist, correct?” he asked her, as she flinched again.

“...yes father...I did..” she said, her voice soft as he said, scoffing,“ I know I raised you better then that. A pianist, really Stormy?” he belittled her as she looked down, trying to be brave as she said in a soft voice “ But...father I believe that I can do it, and I can-”

“ Shut your mouth and listen.” he told her in a cold voice, making her shut her mouth, flinching as he told her, “ Your not going to become a pianist. We’ve discussed this dear, you're going to go to the best college here in Destiny Islands, and your going to become a doctor. Not something silly like playing a piano. I mean, who would come to your piano recitals with your looks and your huge hands? So give up on that stupid dream of yours. You know what happens when you don’t listen...right?” he asked her as she flinched again, her eyes widening in fear as she looked over at the closet that was sound proof, and inside it, was the thing she feared and hated. Almost as much as her other fear, the cage.

“....yes father…” she whispered, not looking up, and not feeling hungry anymore as he warmly smiled again, “ Good girl...you know that I’m only doing this since I love you, right?” he asked her as she flinched as she froze up, staring at the ground keeping silent.

Her eyes were wide and big, as she looked scared as she could only faintly nod as he chuckled, “ Good girl then...now, run along. Go to those islands, and enjoy yourself. You know you have a busy summer ahead of you, since we need you to get ready to go to the top academy here, which means no more playing with those stupid brats and piano anymore.” he told her, drinking his coffee as she faintly nodded as she stood up and walked out of the room, quiet, as all she could think of was one thing, as she walked to the docks, looking down, her eyes wide in fear.

'....Love. What a scary word....with a horrifying meaning.'

A little girl with brown hair up in pigtails wearing a purple and blue sweater watched as her adoptive parents were screaming and yelling at each other

' I remember my original parents loved each other very much....I remember my adoptive dad would always start fights with my adoptive mother for no good reason, and she would fight back.’'

The girl watched as the man slapped the woman as he left, slamming the door behind him as the woman started to cry as the girl watched sadly, as she was locked up in the cage her adoptive mother put her in since she ' misbehaved'

' I remember, when I was locked up in that cage of mine, I would hear my adoptive mother cry all throughout the night, as my adoptive father would be gone for days when I was supposed to be asleep...'

The girl watched as she was still in her cage as she watched her adoptive father holding flowers as the mother looked at him

' He would come back with gifts and apologies...and every time, she would forgive him. No matter the horrible things he did...she would always forgive him.'

The little girl walked up to her adoptive mother later on, as she held the flowers her adoptive father gave her as she asked, " Mom....why do you forgive dad?" She asked 

The woman turned around, staring at the little girl as she then smiled at her

' She turned around, her red lips whispering one unsettling word...'

" LOVE."

Stormy looked at her adoptive mother, in horror and shock

'...at that moment...I thought of one thing....Love has to be the most terrifying thing in the world...'
