*Earthland* 

Kairi was at the medical room at the Guildhall with Sora and Riku on the bed. Thanks to Wendy and Prolyusica, Sora and Riku were healed. 

Kairi: Are you okay?

Riku: A bit sore, but much better. 

Sora: Yeah, thanks to Wendy. 

Kairi: (sad) Sora, I'm sorry. 

Sora: Huh? Why are you apologizing? 

Kairi: (starts tearing) Because I wasn't strong enough to protect you. I messed up...

Sora: (puts his hand on Kairi's head while smiling) Hey, it's okay. You're still learning like me, no biggie. 

Riku: Besides, we had our fair share of facing tougher enemies. 

Kairi: I guess you're right. Still, those demons were strong. 

Riku: They're not Organization members, but their strength and speed surpasses a newbie Keyblade wielder. 

Sora: Ah, no problem. The next time we face them, we'll be ready. 

Riku: Yeah. 

Kairi: (smiles) You haven't changed Sora.

With the two Keyblade wielders fully recovered the Destiny Trio walked out of the medical room to the Guildhall. 

Things seemed to be pretty normal around Fairy Tail as all the wizards were going about their normal business; Gajeel hung on the upper levels and chatted with Panther-Lilly, Kat, Laxus, and Lea along with the Thunder Legion; Trish, Natsu, and Ventus sat with Modeus, Wendy, Carla, Donald, and Goofy at one table; while Lucy, Erza, Aqua, Juvia, Mickey, and Gray sat another talking. 

Aqua: (notices them) Sora! Riku! Kairi! 

Juvia: How are you feeling? 

Sora: Much better now. 

Mickey: Gosh, you had us worried. 

Erza: Drake and Natsu told us you fought demons from Devil Hand. 

Gray: That must've been a tough fight. 

Riku: It was, luckily they came at the right time. 

Aqua: Yes, thank goodness you're alright. 

Lucy: Well, they are Keyblade wielders like you Aqua. 

Aqua: (giggles) You're right. 

The wizards and Keyblade wielders start laughing with each other. 

Gray stopped laughing as he looked to Erza and saw her attention was diverted toward the entrance; he looked in her direction and saw what she was seeing.

Someone had walked into Fairy Tail. He clearly wasn't a member and his appearance was a little unsettling to say the least. 

Pretty much all conversation in the guild hall came to an end as everyone set their eyes on the man who was slowly walking into the guildhall, with the only sound in the building being his footsteps.

Arkham wasn't looking at any of them, yet neither person could take their eyes off him. They clearly hadn't seen him before, and yet there was something about him that was very uncomfortable. 

Goofy: Gwarsh, I wonder who that is.

Donald: I don't know, but there's strange about him.  

Some looked a bit scared, others looked with serious expressions as they had a feeling he wasn't here for a social visit.

Natsu's mind: (sniffs) What a second... that guy smells like Lady. 

He walked toward the bar where Mirajane was looking at him with uncertainty in her eyes. He slowly traced his fingers along the countertop as his eyes set upon her. One look from his eyes was enough for her to back up slightly.

Mirajane: Um... can I help you?

Arkham: I am looking for Sparda's youngest son. Is he here?

Outside; Drake and Lady were on their way back to the guildhall.

Drake: Hey Lady. 

Lady: Yeah? 

Drake: How do you feel about... telling everyone?

Lady: (sighs) I still don't like it.

Drake looked a bit disappointed before Lady continued. 

Lady: But best to rip the bandage off now and get it over with; don't want to repeat the same mess with Vali.

Drake nodded, as that was probably a good idea. His eyes set on the entrance to the guildhall, but he stopped when he saw who was in there. Lady saw him stop and looked a bit confused.

Drake: Uh... I think it's a bit too late right now actually.

Lady looked to the entrance and her pupils shrank and her heart had skipped a beat. He was there! Arkham was inside Fairy Tail!

*inside the guildhall* 

Mirajane: Wha... what do you want with Drake? 

Arkham: I have a message for him.

However, before anyone in the guildhall had dared to move; a red flash had appeared above Arkham before it landed right behind him to reveal Drake pointing his Ebony pistol at the back of his head. Lady had also suddenly appeared with her bladed-rocket-launcher pointed right at him as well.

Now everyone in Fairy Tail was on his or her feet. If Drake had a gun trained on him, then this guy was bad news.

Gray: Drake! What's going on?! Do you know this guy?!

Drake: (glares) Oh yeah. Miss me Arkham?

Arkham's eyes set upon Drake before slowly looking down toward his amulet that he always wore. He then slowly turned to the woman pointing a rocket launcher at him.

Arkham: Mary, you've grown stronger, haven't you?

Lady: Go to hell!

Now everyone was really surprised; not just at Lady's comment, but at how this man addressed her.

Erza: (raised eyebrow) Mary?

Arkham: You point a gun at me, Mary? Your own kin? Your dear papa?

Lady: The only family I ever had was my mother and she's dead!

Arkham: You break my heart. After all, it was I who gave you your name... my darling daughter!

That took everyone in the Guildhall by shock. This man was her father?! And she was pointing a bazooka at him?! From the look on Dante's face as well, it was clear that this guy was certainly no friend.

Sora: What?! Lady, that guy's your dad?!

It was a silent few seconds before Lady responded. 

Lady: The man I once called my father is dead. That was a monster wearing his skin!

Arkham: Such contempt, Mary.

She immediately opened fire on him, but he swiftly and inhumanely dodged all her bullets before quickly coming up and grabbing her wrists; twisting them to force her to drop her guns before pulling her close.

Arkham: You have your mother's spirit.

Lady: Shut up you bastard!

Drake: What the hell do you want Arkham?!

Arkham: I have come bearing a message for you Drake, from your brother.

While everyone in the building had looked with even further surprise at that word, Drake could only scowl. 

Arkham: He sends this invitation. (slowly raised an open hand) Please accept it.

The second his hand was fully raised he snapped his fingers.

*CRASH!*

The whole roof had broken through. Everyone looked up in complete and utter shock as at least two dozen Hell Vanguards fell from the hole in the ceiling and toward the ground.

They resembled something akin to Grim Reapers with black robes made of smoke, with skulls for faces, each one wielding a scythe with a blade made out of purple energy.

Before the entire guild could erupt in chaos; Arkham had in one fluid motion delivered a palm strike to Drake to send him flying through some of his unfortunate comrades, while also sweeping Lady off her feet with his legs. While she was airborne he quickly grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder.

Drake quickly recovered and pointed Ebony to where Arkham had stood only to find he had vanished along with Lady.

Drake: Damn it!

He barley had enough time to turn around and block a scythe-strike form a Hell-Vanguard with Rebellion was all of Fairy Tail was swept up in chaos.

Natsu: Lady! 

Natsu outside to save Lady from Arkham as Lucy, Happy, Lisanna, Sora, and Kairi followed him. They were at the East Forest, but they've lost him. 

Sora: He's not here!

Kairi: Neither is Lady. 

Lucy: Did we lost him? 

Happy: Or we took a wrong turn like on Olympus Coliseum.

Lisanna: Natsu, what do we- 

She looked in surprise to see his face had become pale, as if he had seen something terrifying.

Happy: Natsu?

Natsu: (sweat came down his face) That scent... It's... it's him...

They soon heard footsteps behind them. They turned around to see the silhouette of a man standing at the edge of the severed train car, his back to the setting red sun as his shadow loomed over them. His blue robe flowing in the wind, his white hair straight up, with a katana in his hand. 

Though Sora and Kairi looked in surprise; both Lucy, Lisanna, and Happy recognized him immediately and could only look in absolute fear.

Lisanna: Oh no...

Lucy almost fell down as she shook, her eyes couldn't believe it. 

Lucy: Vali.

Vali: Hello Fairy Tail. Did you miss me?

*back at the Guildhall* 

Ventus: What are those things?!

Modeus: They are Hell Vanguards.

Riku: Hell what?

Modeus: Hell Vanguards, lesser demons that proclaim to be akin to the grim reapers. But why are they here?

Lea: To kill us, what else?!

Trish: No, he's right. Hell Vanguards are usually around some kind of portal. Something that connects Earth Land to the Underworld! But there's no portal or gate nearby! So why are they this far out?!

Erza: Devil Hand most likely. But it doesn't matter, they will fall all the same.

Ur: Got that right.

Ur placed his hand on his palm as an icy mist formed around them. She gave a yell as she slammed her hand and fist onto the ground to send a long streak of ice-spikes toward a pack of Hell Vanguards, sending them flying all around. The fight was on.

Erza's armor glowed as she requpied into her Flight Armor with a blade in each hand and dashed past two Hell Vanguards, cutting them down as she soared past them. She moved at such speed that when one tried to swing his scythe at her, she vanished and appeared behind it to slice it in half down the middle.

Modeus summoned both his blades from the ground as he blocked a scythe strike from one Hell Vanguard in an x-formation with his swords, but he kicked the scythe out of the demon's hands before slicing it in half with both his blades before rushing toward four more with his swords glowing.

Modeus: Demon Sword: Phantom Moon!

He launched multiple crescent-moon-shaped projectiles from his swung swords at the four Hell Vanguards, who were quickly cut to pieces by them.

Ventus delivers diagonal slashes at one Hellguard with Wayward Wind while Aqua casts Thunder followed by using Blizzard Edge. 

Trish and Kat stood back-to-back with their respective pistols as six Hell Vanguards circled them; they both opened fire, Kat with normal bullets and Trish with her electrical ones. Trish's attacks did the most damage, while Lady's only seemed to tick them off. 

The Vanguards rushed toward them at the same time with their scythe blades, only for Trish to jump high into the air with her Sparda sword and point it downward just as Kat fell to the ground and took out Defiance. Trish and Kat then slashed their swords at the demons, killing them.

Gray: Ice Make Death Scythe!

Gray leapt into the air with an ice construct taking the form of a massive scythe, twice the size of the ones the Hell Vanguards were carrying. He swung it down and took out one Hell Vanguard with the swing. 

As he fell he looked into the air and saw in surprise three Hell Vanguards leaping higher into the air and bringing their blades down on him.

Gray: Ice-Make Shield!

Gray landed on the ground on his back just as he created a strong ice-shield in front of him to block the scythe strikes from the Vanguards; but they kept up the pressure and looked like they we're about to crack through the shield, much to Gray's frustration.

Ur: Gray! Ice Make Lance! 

Ur shot out multiple ice-lances from a dual-palm thrust at the Vanguards before the recovered, impaling them in multiple places.

Gray: Thanks Ur! 

Ur: Don't mention it. You take Wendy and Carla and find Lady!

Gray: Got it! (to Wendy and Carla) Let's go! 

Wendy: Right! 

Gray, Wendy, and Carla went outside the guildhall.

Ventus: I'm coming too! (follows them)  

Aqua: Ven!

Drake: It's alright Aqua, he's strong enough to handle himself. 

Aqua: Okay. 

*with Natsu's group* 

Natsu, Lucy, Lisanna, and Happy's eyes each radiant with fear as they saw the eldest son of Sparda gazing down upon them with his ice-cold glare, his own blue robe flowing in the wind like a cape. 

Sora and Kairi however looked at him with surprise rather than fear; this man, he seemed so much like Drake and yet so completely different.

Sora: Vali? As in, Drake's twin brother?That's Vali?!

Happy: (fear) Aye...

The aforementioned half-demon's eyes set upon the Keyblade wielders. 

Vali: So you're Sora and Kairi, the Keyblade's Chosen one and one of the New Seven Hearts. Two of the Seven Guardians of Light. 

Natsu: What the hell do you want Vali?! You hear for a rematch?!

Lucy was quick to step by Natsu's side as well, her hand on her Celestial Keys. 

Lucy: If you're looking for Drake, he's not here! And were not telling you where he is either!

Vali: That's fine. I'm not here for Dante. I want Kairi.

Kairi: Me? Wh-Why would...

Lucy: Wait... (eyes widened with shock) Don't tell me... Are you a part of Devil Hand?

Vali: I lead Devil Hand. I am that guild's master.

Their eyes widened with absolute shock and fear. 

Happy: (eyes being white circle) SAYWHA?!?!?!

Sora: You're... the... the leader of Devil Hand?!

Natsu: Why the hell did you form a guild of demons?! And why do you want Kairi?!

Vali: I have no intention of killing her, that I can assure you. And that is all I will say. (looks at Kairi) Kairi, you will be coming with me one way or another. Come with me willingly and I give you my word that no harm will come to you or your comrades. Resist, and while I cannot afford to kill you, I make no guarantees for their lives.

Sora and Kairi were starting to understand now why no one in Fairy Tail talked about him. Vali just said he kill their friends if she didn't come with him. 

One look into his dark eyes was all the evidence they needed to know that he was completely serious and he wouldn't hesitate for even a second to do it. 

Before she even had a chance to speak up, Natsu already had both his fists light on fire.

Natsu: That ain't happening you jerk! I won't let you or any of your Devil Hand cronies lay a finger on Kairi!

Vali: (sighs) Have you so soon forgotten our previous encounter, Natsu? Only now my brother is not here to save you.

Natsu glared a bit before looking back to his friends. 

Natsu: Sora, Lisanna, Lucy, Happy, take Kairi and get out of here, I'll handle Vali.

Lucy: By yourself?! Natsu, last time you tried to fight him you almost died!

Happy: She's right! If I fly you out with Lisanna and Lucy summons a super fast spirit-

Natsu: You know we can't outrun him! I'll keep him busy, but you need to go!

Lisanna: Natsu...

Sora: We can't leave you! Just let us-

Natsu: GET OUT OF HERE!!! (Sora looked surprised) You're no match for him, Sora! Just take Kairi and go!

Before anyone else could say anything, Natsu shot a powerful breath attack at Vali, causing an explosion. 

Natsu: RUN!!!

There was a blur that shot past him and gunned right for Kairi. Vali appeared right in front of her shocked face as both Lucy, and Happy were shoved aside. 

Sora's mind: (shocked) What just happened? I didn't see him move!

Sora summoned his Keyblade and was about to do horizontal slash, but Vali caught the Keyblade with hand which surprised him. He then threw Sora to Lisanna, crashing on top of her. 

Before he could make any move however, Natsu had already grabbed him and shot flames from his feet to propel them both upward and further down westward away from the train tracks.

While airbore Vali was able to break free of Natsu's grip, but this gave the Salamander an opening to deliver a fiery-roundhouse to his chest to knock Vali down toward a pond. The blue-robed half demon landed on his feet, ankle-deep in water, where Natsu landed with a thud in the water directly across from him.

Vali: Hmm, your flames have gotten stronger.

Natsu: A lot has happened since we butted heads (both his fists lit on fire again) and I'm a lot stronger now than I was then!

Vali: As have I. And just as before, you will fall. That I promise.

Natsu roared as he shot at Vali with flaming fists, who simply flicked Yamato in response.
