Drake was currently sitting at a table with Kat inside the Fairy Tail guild hall. 

Drake: So, how's the guild treating you? 

Kat: Pretty nice actually. It's like I get to have a second chance to have a new family that actually cares for me. 

Drake: Same with me. I'm glad we're enjoying this new life. 

Kat: Hey Drake? 

Drake: Yeah? 

Kat: Do you think he would learn that you've joined a guild? 

Drake: (ponders) Probably. Knowing him, he might pick a fight with me without any interference. 

Kat: I just hope he would at least stop hunting you down. 

Drake: I hope so too, but that's just how he is. Always have a quarry with me. 

Mirajane: Anything else I can get you Trish?

She handed the blonde lightning demon a mug of beer.

Trish: Naw I'm good, thanks.

Mirajane walked away and Trish looked to her left hand with the yellow Fairy Tail emblem on it.

???: Hello Trish.

She looked up to see Erza along with Gray and Happy coming towards her.

Erza: Mind if we join you?

Trish: Knock yourselves out.

They took a seat as Trish began to drink.

Gray: So you're Drake's partner?

Trish: Ex-Partner. Though I guess you can say we're partners again since we're in the same guild.

Happy: You liiike him!

Trish then gave a small jolt with her fingers, causing Happy to puff into a small blue fur ball with static.

Trish: What was that cat?

Happy then fainted as a small ghost came out of him.

Gray: He was asking for that one.

Trish: Yeah and... what happened to your clothes?

The Ice Make wizard who looked down surprised at him only wearing his olive boxers.

???: HEY TRISH!!!

She, Erza, and Gray all turned to Natsu who jumped onto their table.

Natsu: I want you to fight me!

Trish: Can it wait till I finish with my drink?

Natsu: No it can't; cause here I come!

Natsu leaped up into the air with an evil smile and fire in both his hands; Trish, as she continued drinking, flexed her hand and blasted blue lightning at Natsu, electrocuting him to the point where one could comically see his skeleton.

Erza: I'm not going to lie, I kind of saw that coming.

Gray: It's Laxus all over again.

Happy: Aye.

Speaking of Laxus, our lightning wizard and his Thunder Legion were walking towards the white-haired Devil Hunter. 

Drake: (notices them) Can I help you? 

Laxus: Drake, you got any plans for today? 

Drake: Well, I was planning on finding a job to do. (cocks a brow) Why? 

Laxus: How about you and have battle?

All the present Fairy Tail wizards gasped in shock and began talking to each other.

Wakaba: Whoa. Laxus never challenges anyone; it's usually the other way around.

Macao: More specifically Natsu.

Lucy: I can't believe it! Did Laxus really just challenge Drake? 

Happy: Aye, he doesn't kid around when it comes to a fight.

Erza: I never thought he would challenge one of own newest members. 

Gray: Two powerful people in Fairy Tail duking it out. This might get messy.

Drake: You want to fight me? Why?

Laxus: It's nothing personal at all. I just want to gauge how powerful you really are, and there's only one way to test that.

Freed: (confused) Laxus? Are you sure?

Evergreen: We don't know what he's capable of his skill.

Bickslow: Yeah, we're not sure about this.

Makarov: (concern) Laxus, are you certain to have this battle? (Laxus nod) Drake, will you accept his request?

Elfman: C'mon Drake! If you're a real man than you'll accept the challenge!

Soon, more Fairy Tail wizards began to gather from the construction site and cheered for Drake to accept the challenge. He looked between all the wizards before returning his gaze back to Laxus.

Laxus: How about it, pal? Will you accept? Or are you scared?

Drake: (smirk) Alright, you're on! I accept.

Laxus: (smile) We'll fight in tomorrow morning at the same place you thought Natsu, Gajeel, and Erza. 

Immediately, everyone broke out into applause. 

Romeo: Are they really serious about this? 

Elfman: Drake vs. Laxus?! That sounds like a manly showdown!

Lisanna: I've seen Drake in action myself, and I've known Laxus most of my life. The thought of those two fighting each other... I honestly have no idea how that would go.

Kat: How strong is this Laxus guy, anyway?

Mirajane: Kat, let me put it this way: you've seen Natsu in action, right? (Kat nodded) Well, Natsu's never once beaten him in a one-on-one fight before.

Kat: (surprised) Wait, seriously?!

Erza: It is, he's definitely someone who can give me and Mira some trouble.

Ur: Is he really that strong? How is he compared to Drake?

Wakaba: He's a tough customer, for sure. I'd say that probably the only one more powerful than him besides the Master is Gildarts. But Laxus squaring off against Drake? Now that's something I gotta see.

(time-skip) 

The next day, around seven-o-clock, all of Fairy Tail was gathered in the Southgate Park. The audience formed a ring around the perimeter at enough of a safe distance to avoid being caught in the middle of the brawl that was to come.

The only two people that stand in the middle is the Makarov's grandson and the Fairy Tail's first Devil Hunter. Drake and Laxus stare each other down, neither of them speaking a word to each other. 

A small wind blew in between them, causing both Drake's and Laxus's jacket's to flap slightly like a cape. No one dared speak a word, as if they feared that even one word could light a powdered keg of epic proportions.

Laxus: (smile) You know, I'm really impressed that you survived and fought Natsu, Gajeel, and Erza a week ago.

Drake: (smiles) Thanks for the compliment. So, I heard from Freed that you're the leader of the Thunder Legion, correct?

Laxus: Heh, well you got that right. I'm a Dragon Slayer as well, a Lightning Dragon Slayer to be exact.

Drake: Another Dragon Slayer huh? Hehe, I don't know what to expect anymore.

Meanwhile, the rest of Fairy Tail are a bit excited and worried about this fight.

Cana: (worried) I hope that Drake will be okay.

Mirajane: (worried) Yes, we have to wait and see.

Kat: (confused) What do you mean by that?

Trish: Did something happened from Laxus?

Ur: Yeah, the three of us noticed the facial expressions of the guild members.

Erza: It's a bit complicated history. We'll tell you after this battle is over.

Juvia: You girls didn't seem to be worried about this. Why is that?

Trish: (smile) Don't worry, I'm sure that we have faith on Drake will be alright.

Wendy: (worried) I hope you're right about this.

Carla: (worried) Indeed, there's no telling what will happen.

Makarov: Both fighters, are you ready?!

Laxus: Let's do this.

Drake: Thought you'd never ask.

Makarov: Let the battle... BEGIN!!!

Drake made the first move, quickly drawing Ebony and Ivory and opening fire with his pistols. However, Laxus was quick to generate a powerful electric aura around himself to act as a shield and block Dante's attack.

Laxus then went on the attack as he appeared to turn his whole body into a bolt of lightning that shot around all the bullets and right into Drake, with Laxus throwing a punch into Drake's gut and sending him skidding across the ground on his feet before he bent over.

Laxus then zapped behind Drake in the form of lightning to throw a kick toward Drake's back, but the red-clad Devil Hunter quickly drew Rebellion to block Laxus' foot with the flat of his blade, acting as a shield and leaving Laxus open for Drake to flip up into the air above his opponent before kicking down on Laxus' head to knock him onto the ground.

While still in mid-air, Drake tried to swing Rebellion down on to Laxus, but he had already zapped himself away, turning his body into lightning again to gain some distance.

Drake: You're quick. But you'll have to be faster.

Laxus: (smirk) You sure about that?

Drake's eyes quickly widened as he looked down to see a large yellow magic circle underneath him. Already he was engulfed with a large surge of lightning, which seemed to pin him down and leave him open.

The audience continued to watch in anticipation; Lucy, Erza, Cana, Mirajane, and Juvia looking the most concerned for Drake. However, Trish only smirked.

Trish's mind: Pal has no idea what he's getting into. 

Thinking he had him pinned, Laxus let loose another attack.

Laxus: Raging Bolt!

Laxus threw down his arm to bring down a large bolt of lightning down on the trapped Dante, creating an explosion that appeared to engulf the red-clad Devil Hunter. 

But Laxus wasn't done yet, deciding to end the fight now, Laxus' body surged with lightning again as he shot at the dust cloud to throw out an electrified-punch. Once it impacted, the dust was blown away.

However, once the dust all cleared everyone in Fairy Tail, especially the Thunder Legion, and even Laxus himself, looked in surprise to see Drake had actually caught Laxus' fist in his free hand as he still maintained a smirk.

Drake: Huh, tickled.

Drake pulled Laxus in to deliver a powerful kick into his opponent's abs, knocking the wind right out of Laxus before Drake swung Rebellion to send him crashing against the ground, leaving a trench as he skidded to halt. Laxus struggled to pull himself up as he felt his chest where he was struck by Rebellion.

Romeo: Drake's actually got Laxus on the ropes...

Elfman: Now this is a fight! A fight of real men!

Mirajane: It's not over yet though.

She knew both Drake and Laxus well and could tell that they both had plenty of fight left.

Drake: You're pretty good. But I got plenty of experience with lightning, so if you wanna throw in the towel, I won't stop you.

However, Drake was somewhat caught off guard as Laxus began to chuckle before it erupted into a full-blown laugh, a laugh that surprised many of his comrades of the Fairy Tail guild.

Laxus: It's been a while since I met someone who can actually give me a challenge! And it really gets my blood pumping! (his body began to surge with even stronger lightning than before) Come on Drake! Show me what you got!"

Drake: (grin) Bring it on, Laxus!

Drake twirled Rebellion right as he lunged at Laxus who lunged at him, coating his own arms with a powerful barrier of electric power. As Drake swung Rebellion at him, Laxus used his lightning-coated arms as a make-shift weapon to block Drake's sword before slugging a punch across his face, before Drake retaliated with a kick to Laxus' side, allowing Dante to swing and slam the flat of his blade into Laxus' chest. 

From then on, the two engaged in an epic brawl as they blocked and exchanged punches and sword-against-lightning-arm clashes. As Drake swung Rebellion with both his hands, channeling his own demonic energy into the blade, Laxus threw both his electric fists out. 

The attacks collided and sent both flying back away from each other, but both were able to land on their feet easily enough. Laxus was the first to go back on the attack.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Demolition Fist!

Laxus pulled his fist back before throwing it out to send a massive fist made entirely out of lightning straight at Drake, who attempted to swing Rebellion at it to break it up, but that was a mistake as the resulting explosion sent Drake flying through the air. 

Using this to his advantage, Laxus shot straight at Drake and while airborne, laid a series of electric punches across Drake's body, but Drake wasn't done yet.

Drake: Quicksilver!

Drake slowed time around himself and Laxus, and while still in mid-air, moved behind his opponent to pull up on Rebellion and slam the flat on his back to send Laxus crashing onto the ground once the effects of Quicksilver wore off.

Drake: Balrog!

Drake's arms and legs have been equiped with a set of gauntlets, greaves and shoulder pads. The components are metal and plated in such a way that they look like magma once fire starts flowing through them. The gauntlets have yellow eyes on the back of the hands that have black slit pupils. The shoulder pads have two large spikes that curve out to the sides of Drake before curving upwards.

Drake fell to the ground, thrusting out his left foot, and left Balrog grieve, which Laxus was barely able to avoid by turning his body into lightning again to move out of the way just in time.

Gajeel: (shocked) What the hell?!

Levy: (shocked) Oh my gosh, I never seen that weapon before! 

Elfman: (shocked) Look at his arms and shoulders, it looks like a demon's eye on the gauntlets and horns on the shoulders! So Manly!

Lisanna: (shocked) Wow, it does! I can sense a fire magic from his weapon!

The rest of Fairy Tail, including Laxus and the Thunder Legion are very surprised by Drake's gauntlets and greaves imbued with fire magic. 

Laxus: I thought you said the five were your main weapons. 

Drake: I didn't say they were my only weapons. This bad boy is a weapon a got before I joined Fairy Tail. 

Gray: He was hiding this one the whole time?! 

Erza: Amazing... 

Drake: Trickster!

Drake gave pursuit with the extra speed provided by Balrog to throw a punch at Laxus, who tried to block it with his lightning-arms again, but the force sent Laxus flying and rolling across the ground. 

But he quickly recovered and shot at Drake again, who shot at him as they clashed with each other in mid-air, their bodies only visible as blurs with shockwaves erupting from each impact.

Bickslow: Holy crap...

Dolls: Holy super crap!

Evergreen: I know Dante is strong and all but... he's actually got Laxus on the ropes!

Freed: I shouldn't be surprised, yet I am.

Everyone else in Fairy Tail looked in absolute awe, or even fear in the case of Lily who, giving his lightning-phobia, held his hears down as he shook in place, even Gajeel was starting to sweat a bit at seeing them go all out.

Juvia: I never thought Drake would be so strong... He's absolutely amazing!

Cana: Give it to him Drake! Kick the crap out of him

Lisanna: Hey Trish. Just out of curiosity, how would you compare Laxus' lighting to yours?

Trish: t's not just his lightning, he's crazy strong too. Honestly, I'd say this guy might be even stronger than I am.

Lucy: Why do I have a bad feeling this won't end well.

Happy paid a concerning glance towards Natsu, who continued to watch with a serious expression.

Drake threw out a punch with his left Balrog gauntlet, but Laxus proved quick enough to not only avoid the punch but also grab Drake's arm with both his hands and throw Drake back at the ground. Not even giving him time to recover, Laxus shot another attack at him.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Roar!

Laxus unleashed a lightning breath attack as the attack hit Drake dead on, sending him rolling across the ground, he barely had time to get up as Laxus landed and unleashed another attack.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Heavenward Halberd!

He raised his hands in the air to generate a massive spear made entirely out of lightning before throwing it at Drake, who was actually smirked in anticipation.

Drake: Nevan!

Quickly drawing his electric-scythe, Drake spun it in front of him like a helicopter blade, almost like he was forming a shield, generating a surge of purple lightning around it as he spun. 

But rather than block the attack, Laxus' lightning-spear was actually absorbed into his weapon, creating a bright and powerful surge that mixed yellow and purple lightning. 

Using the momentum gathered from Laxus' attack, Drake swung Nevan out to send a massive shot of purple and yellow lightning straight at the shocked Laxus with explosive results.

Most of the crowd all screamed as they stood their best to stay on their feet without being blown away by the shockwave before they recovered to look in shock.

Jet: Did Dante just absorb and reflect Laxus' attack?!

Droy: Not only that, but he also channeled his own power into it to make it even stronger!

Drake: You're a Dragon Slayer, so you can eat lighting, right?

The smoke began to clear, to reveal Laxus was on his knees and appeared out of breath, his shirt tattered and torn, his body emanating residual effects of yellow and purple lightning. 

Drake: All but your own. Just like how Natsu can't eat his own fire.

However, rather than appear angry, Laxus chuckled as he pulled himself up. 

Laxus: You're something else, you know that Drake? You're every bit of a monster on the inside.

Drake: I could say the same to you. You're definitely one of the toughest guys I've fought. I mean, you're nowhere near Gildarts'  level, and a certain opponent I know could probably give you some trouble too, but you're at least in the top five in my book.

Laxus: But I got a feeling that you're holding back. So, what do you say we kick things up a notch?

Laxus teeth sharpened slightly as he began to channel more of his Dragon Slayer power. His muscles began to grow slightly as electric reptilian scales formed around his arms and sides.

Natsu's mind: (widen his eyes) I know this power... it was just like when me and Gajeel took him on that time... but it feels even stronger than that!

Freed: Laxus is channeling the full extent of his power! I never thought it be possible, as he's only an artificial Dragon Slayer. But it seems he's done it, he's achieved true Dragon Force!

When the transformation was done, both Laxus' arms were coated in bright yellow scales, as were his sides that stretched up to his neck and the sides of his face; his body surging with even more powerful lightning than before.

Drake: Going all out huh? Alright, yeah... let's take this thing to the next level!

Drake then started glowing red as he drew upon his own demonic power. His eyes glow red along with red glowing veins. 

Mirajane's mind: There it is again! The same form he used that defeated Natsu on the first match! 

Laxus: (smirk) Let's make this battle more interesting, shall we?

Drake: Name it. 

Laxus: (smirk) You'll fight with only one of your weapons from your choice.

Natsu: (shocked) Laxus made a handicap match for Drake?!

Gray: (shocked) Isn't that a bit difficult?!

Freed: (curious) I wonder how will Drake react to this-

Drake: (smirk) Alright, you're on.(everyone shocked) I got one weapon for this fight. Balrog!

Drake then summons his gauntlets, greaves, and shoulder pads. 

Trish: Oh boy, looks like they're starting to get serious!

Drake and Laxus are dashed towards each other, both fists are clashes and locked for a few seconds.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Iron Fist!

Laxus gathers a large amount of lightning around one of his fists, bends the arm and then extends the fist forward in a punching motion towards to Drake who dodged the attack. 

Drake: Swordmaster!

Drake focuses his power into his fist, then release and gave Laxus an uppercut so strong, it launched himself like a missile. 

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Roar!

Laxus generates lightning in his mouth and releases it in a concentrated, destructive blast, capable of destroying everything in a wide area in front of him. 

Drake: Royalguard!

Drake have successfully blocked the attack. 

Laxus: (surprised) Well I'm impressed that you've survived my attacks!

Drake: Yeah, you're not too bad yourself.

Laxus: (smirk) Heh, let's make this battle fun shell we?

Drake: I thought you never asked!

Laxus started to transforming his own body into electricity, turning himself into a lightning bolt, whose size can vary from mere, fast-moving sparks to large pillars of lightning. 

Drake have started to close his eyes focusing to power and formed fiery aura around his body including his gauntlets and greaves.

Drake: Trickster!

Drake and Laxus started to charge towards to each other again. Both have started to perform a hand to hand combat with immense speed while the rest are shocked from sparks have clashed up and down, left to right.

Makarov: (surprised) Incredible! That young man was able to keep up with Laxus!

Ur's mind: (blush) Wow, he's so amazing!

Natsu: (grins) Wow, I'm so fired up for this, can't wait to fight him again!

For a while, Laxus has prepared for another attack.

Laxus: Lightning Dragon Jaw!

Laxus joins his hands and imbues them with a large amount of lightning. He then proceeds to strike Drake down from above with his joined hands. 

Drake: Royalguard!

Drake successfully blocked his attack with his arms crossed.

Drake: (smirk) My turn.

Drake lunged forward and deliver an uppercut to an enemy, potentially launching them into the air and then ends with aerial finisher.

Drake: Swordmaster!

Drake used his Rising Dragon technique and launched Laxus skyward in a spiral to do additional damage. He then did a flaming cartwheel kick at Laxus's chest who grunted in pain a little bit. 

The Lightning Dragon Slayer went crashing on the ground. When the dust clears up, Laxus is still standing on his feet.

Laxus: (smile) You know, I haven't gotten this excited for a while now.

Drake: Yeah, me too. 

Laxus: This battle is going on long enough, don't you agree? 

Drake: (nodded) Let's end this!

Laxus unleashed a powerful lightning surging around his body while Drake did the same with his demonic power combined. 

Erza: (shocked) Their power is increasing even more!

Lucy: Hold on... I thought this whole thing was supposed to be light sparring!

Kat: I don't think they're playing games anymore!

Levy: If this keeps up, those two could level the entire East Forest!

Juvia: Looks like they got a little carried away...

Lisanna: This is bad... like really bad!

Happy: Aye!

Romea: Dad, Master, we gotta call this off right now!

Wakaba: The kid's right! This has gone way too far!

Marco: Yeah... alright. Show's over!

Makarov: Everyone clear out! Now!

Mirajane: Too late!

The red glowing Drake, coated in a surge of red demonic energy shot as he gave off a yell, pulling back on the black Rebellion as he prepared to unleash a massive attack. 

While the Dragon Force Laxus mirrored his actions with a yell, a powerful surge of intense lightning encompassing his whole body as he pulled back a fist for a dangerous attack of his own. 

The red bolt and electric surge shot at each other like a pair of meteors, as they made contact...

*BOOOOMMMM!*

When the dust clears up, everyone sees Drake was on his knees while Laxus has been defeated.

Makarov: The winner is... Drake Redgrave!

All of the Fairy Tail guild are very shocked to witness Drake have beat Laxus, leader of the Thunder Legion. As Freed, Bickslow and Evergreen rushed in to help Laxus.

Gajeel: (shocked) You've got to be kidding!

Cana: (shocked) I can't believe he belted Laxus! 

Drake was out of breath until he was being healed by Wendy. 

Wendy: Don't worry, I'll patch your wounds. 

Drake: (smile) Thanks Wendy. 

Once he was completed healed, Drake walked to Laxus.

Drake: (smile) That was a great match we had. (offers a handshake) 

Laxus: (smile) Hmph. Yeah, good match. (accepts it)

All of the Fairy Tail are very surprised and happy about Drake's kindness when it comes to his new friends.

Wendy: (happy) Wow, he is friendly!

Lucy: (happy) Yeah, no kidding.

Elfman: (cries comically) So Manly!

Lisanna: (smile) Well he definitely is fitting in here.

Kat: I told you he was full of surprises. 

Freed: Drake, perhaps you consider joining the Thunder Legion? 

Drake: Huh? 

Natsu/Gray: WHAT?!?! 

Natsu: No way pal, he's already on our team!

Gray: Yeah, you can't just steal him from us! 

Bickslow: So what? He should be way better with us!

Dolls: Us! Us! Us!

Evergreen: He's right!

Erza: I'm afraid not. He's better stay with us than with you. 

Soon it turned into a fight which made Laxus and Drake sweat drop. 

Drake: Geez, they're still fighting after our battle? 

Laxus: You have no idea.
