It's been almost a week since Drake and Kat have joined up with Fairy Tail, and they enjoyed every moment of it. Most of their time, they spent doing jobs. 

Drake usually went for the ones involving combat and fighting. Already, he's cleared out most of his debts with many of his clients and was now starting to earn a profit for once.

He was also enjoying the guild as well. He clicked with Natsu very quickly, Drake saw a bit of himself in the fire dragon slayer, though with Natsu constantly challenging him to fights it was getting a little annoying, but he could always count on him to get a good workout in and stay in shape. 

He was also on good terms with Gajeel and Gray; Gray was the kind of guy Drake would chill with when he wasn't busy, though he found his stripping habit to be weird; Gajeel would also spar with Drake quite a bit as well. 

Mirajane was sweet and caring to her friends and she works a bar-maid. Her younger brother, Elfman, was a nice guy, yet he keeps mentioning about being a real man for some reason. 

Lisanna helped out her older siblings and her friends. She told Drake how she and Natsu found Happy when he was an egg and they were acting as husband and wife. Drake find that hilarious at his point of view. 

Cana was the heavy drinker of the females, she can even chugged down a barrel of alcohol. But she's also good with cards, and does some fortune telling. 

Laxus was the cool-headed member of the guild, he has his own called the Thunder Legion. Though, Drake thinks Freed is fanboying Laxus a bit too much. 

Levy loves to read books and her own team as well, Team Shadow Gear that involves Jet and Droy. Kat found herself enjoying the guild, making new friends and doing job requests with them. 

Drake found Wendy to be adorable, though Lucy and Carla preferred it for Wendy to not spend so much time with him. 

Drake seemed to earn the respect of Makarov as well, especially when Drake noted how many hot chicks were a part of the guild as well. 

Though Erza seemed to notice something about Drake that wasn't like anyone else she came across, Drake seemed to notice, but would keep that secret to himself for a while.

It was a nice day in Magnolia and Lucy was walking down the streets to her apartment, with her spirit Plue right next to her.

Lucy: I haven't been able to get a decent job in recently. If I can't pay rent I'll get kicked out.

She noticed Plue dancing around Lucy adorably, in attempt to cheer her up which seemed to work as she smiled a bit.

Lucy: Well there's some optimism if I've ever seen it.

Lucy was now at her apartment and just opened the door, but was not surprised for what she saw inside.

Happy: Hey Lucy!

Natsu: Sup!

Gray: Yo!

Erza: Glad you're here. 

Wendy: Sorry we barged in, Lucy.

Carla: Hello. 

Drake: Nice place you got here.

Lucy: (bulged out eyes) What the heck?! How do you guys keep getting in?!

Drake was sitting on a chair with his feet on her desk.

Drake: You should really lock your windows.

Lucy: (large sweat drop on her forehead) Oh, don't tell me they hooked up you too Drake.

Drake: Come on, is that anyway to treat your neighbor?

That last word caught Lucy's attention.

Lucy: I'm sorry, did you just say 'neighbor'?

Drake: Yep, I got the apartment right next door.

Lucy: Please tell me you're joking.

Drake: Nope, dead serious, you wanna see it?

Within five seconds, the group was now in Drake's apartment. It was simple, it had windows to view outside, a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom, all with bare essentials; save for a few swords that decorated the walls.

Lucy: It's... cozy?

Erza: Not what I was expecting from a Devil Hunter. 

Drake: I've only had this place a few days, okay? Sorry if it's not decorated to your expectations.

Wendy: It's simple at least.

Gray: And you got your own place to crash.

Drake: True. You guys wanna come here, feel free.

Natsu: Awesome! Do we get to raid Lucy's apartment later on?

Lucy: (multiple anime anger marks on her head) DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Drake: (to Happy) You're right. It is funny to see her pissed off.

Happy: Told ya.

Lucy: I'm within ear-shot you know?

Erza: Please forgive me. I truly didn't mean to upset you. I let myself get carried away. It will not happen again. If you would like, you may strike me now.

Drake: Now, now, Erza... There's no need to get dramatic.

Lucy: Yeah... That's okay. I really don't think it's in my best interest.

Natsu and Gray: (deadpans) Smart move. 

Drake: Oh that reminds me. You're short on money right?

Lucy: Uh yeah?

Drake: Well, here's your answer. (reached into his jacket and pulled out a flyer) I just got a job that has enough to cover both our rents for months.

Lucy: Wait, are you serious?

Dante: Yes. (thumb pointing at Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Wendy) And we can get these four to come with us.

Natsu: As long as it involves fighting, I'm in.

Gray: I need some money to, so why not?

Erza: This is an S-Class quest, so it's fitting that I would come along. 

Wendy: And I want to go on my first job with a Devil Hunter like Drake. 

Carla: It's best you didn't, he and Natsu could be a bad influence on you child.

Wendy: What do you mean? Drake and Natsu are both great people.

Carla: Natsu is a good young man with a strong soul, no argument there. Yet he is reckless and destructive. And besides that, we still know little about Drake other than the fact that he's a Devil Hunter. Something about him doesn't quite feel right, like he's hiding something.

Wendy: What's wrong with that? Shouldn't he be entitled to his own secrets? Everyone's got them.

Carla: Not when it could potentially endanger others.

Wendy: Why do you always try to find the bad in people Carla?

Carla: I don't try to find the bad in them, I'm only saying we need to know more about him.

Drake overhead the conversation between Wendy and Carla. 

Drake's mind: I guess couldn't blame the white cat, she is looking out for her friend. 

Happy: (comical tears) Hey what about me? We're a part of Fairy Tail too!

Drake: So what ya say blondie? Interested?

Lucy: Are you kidding? Yes! By the way, what's this job about? 

Erza: It's a job request of taking out some strong water demon at a town near the sea. 

Lucy: A water demon?! 

Gray: Yeah. Apparently it's been terrorizing the town by attacking people and destroying their ships. 

Lucy: (scared) That sounds scary! 

Wendy: It may be, but I'm sure we can handle it. 

Dante: Alright then, let's head out.

Natsu: Yeah, I'm all fired up!

Fairy Tail guild hall

Kat was walking up to Cana.

Kat: Hey, Cana, you seen Natsu or Drake around?

Cana: I think they went on a job with Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Wendy. (chugged down a barrel of beer)

Kat: I'm surprised you're not dead yet from drinking so much alcohol. 

Cana: What can I say? I am a heavy drinker. 

Kat: Noted. 

Gajeel: Damn it! I was gonna pick for me and the rookie, but that Salamander beat me to it! 

Panther Lily: Now don't start throwing a tantrum, Gajeel. 

Levy: Hey Kat, can I ask you something? 

Kat: Sure. 

Levy: How did you and Drake first met? 

Kat: It's... a bit complicated. 

Cana: How so? 

Kat: He rescued me. I was in a foster home. My foster father was a demon. He attacked me most nights. I had to get out.

Mirajane: Oh you poor thing...

Levy: I'm so sorry about that.

Kat: It's ok. I felt nothing. I couldn't physically escape so... I found another way. I aimlessly wandered Limbo in spirit form.

Gajeel: (raised eyebrow) Limbo? 

Kat: It is a dimension that exists parallel to the human world. It is controlled by the demons and is the seat of their power.

Cana: How did you manage get out of Limbo? 

Kat: I found Drake there. He heard my cry for help. He helped me to deal with the demons, both figuratively and literally. I killed the bastard. Now I want to deal with them all.

Elfman: Man, sounds like your friend is a real man to help you. 

Lisanna: No kidding, he's like a red knight in shining armor. 

Gajeel: (smirks) I'm gonna make sure he joins the B-team. 

???: Good luck with that.

A female voice spoke up from the entrance, catching the attention of most of the wizards present. 

The source of the voice was a young woman with short dark hair, a white blouse, a black platted skirt, black leather boots. Two things about her really caught people's attention, her right eye was green and her left eye was red. Plus, she had a rocket launcher strapped to her back with a blade at the end of it.

As this woman walked to the counter she was eyed by most of the guild wizards, though for different reasons. Most of the male population was paying attention to her exposed legs as she walked, while the females were more concerned with a heavily armed individual walking in their guildhall.

Kat however had a shocked looked on her face which Lisanna notice. 

Lisanna: Kat, are you okay?

Kat: Huh? Oh, I'm fine don't worry about it. (thoughts) What is she doing here? Is she looking for Drake because of that debt he own her?  

The woman came up to the counter where Mirajane was at.

Mirajane: Hello there, can I help you?

Most of the wizards fainted with Mira being oblivious to the amount of weapons she had, especially the hard-to-miss rocket launcher.

Black haired woman: Yes, I'm looking for a man named Drake. White hair, red jacket, large sword; he's hard to miss.

Mirajane: Drake is the newest member of Fairy Tail.

Black haired woman: So he did join a guild huh? Never took him for a team player. So do you know where I can find him?

Mirajane: He's currently on a job right now, though he should be back later today. In the meantime, make yourself at home. So what's your name?

The woman sat down at one of the barstools.

Lady: Call me Lady.
