Durning the battle between Drake's team against Xemnas and Saïx, the scene takes place at different part of the Keyblade Graveyard where both the Sabertooth and Crime Sorciere guilds, as well as Lyon and Kagura were ambushed by the enemy. 

Yukino and Richard were seem to be defeated while the others were standing despite having bruises on them. In a shocking revelation, the enemy that they're fighting is Vali, the eldest son of Sparda and Master of Devil Hand. 

Sting: Damnit! What's the deal with this guys?! 

Rogue: We can't even hurt him. Is this really the power of Sparda? 

Kagura: The same one who defeated all of Fairy Tail's strongest wizards by himself. 

Minerva: It's so unreal. 

Jellal's thoughts: This is insane. We don't even begin to compare to him. How can one man wield so much power? 

Erik's thoughts: (clenched his fist) He's strong, (charged at Vali) but I can hear his moves before he makes them! 

Vali: (looks at Erik) Do you really think just because you can read my mind, you have a slight chance of winning? Summoned Swords!

Erik gasped as Vali created multiple energy swords and sent them forward which damaged Erik and knocked him down. Sawyer gets back up and tries to attack Vali with his speed magic.

Sawyer: You're not fast enough!

Vali: Beowulf!

Vali quipped his demonic gauntlets and grieves as he disappears behind Sawyer and was able to get a good kick from behind, knocking Sawyer back.

Vali: Too slow. 

Orga: I'm gonna send you straight to hell! Lightning God Charged Particle Cannon!

He unleashed a blast concentrated beam of black lightning from his hands straight at Vali who now changes with Yamato. 

Vali: Darkslayer!

Vali's sword glowed blood red, as did a light aura around him. He flashed his katana forward and sliced the beam of black lightning in half, surprising everyone present.

Vali gave a knee to the jaw before grabbing him by the hair and throwing him to a rock formation, knocking him out. 

Sorano: Angel's Messenger!

Sorano's round small angels at Vali, but he ends up cutting them into pieces before he kicks her at the face. 

Rufus: Memory-Make: Sword of Frozen Black Lightning!

Rufus unleashes a rather large number of black lightning bolts, striking Vali from above. When each of such pillars of electricity hit him, it is shown to generate a spiky formations of ice, which surges upwards from the point of contact.  

Rufus smirked before it turns into a shock when the ice breaks as Vali was unscathed and now wielding a double-bladed spear, the pole appearing to made out of a black metal, while the blades on each end where shaped like lightning bolts made from an indigo colored obsidian. 

Vali: Zeus!

In that instant,... a massive surge of dark indigo lightning lit up the whole sky. Rufus couldn't avoid this as the demonic lightning surged in all directions, striking him all across his body. 

Macbeth: Spiral Pain!

Macbeth caught Vali within a vortex of distorted air as Minerva crossed her arms and made specific signs with her fingers as she enacted a certain spell.

Minerva: Yagd Rigola!

Spreading out her arms, a massive flash of light shined out in front of her, a surge of magic power quickly appeared to shake up the whole area as a large and imposing figure emerged from the light.

A humanoid clad in armor akin to Babylonian with a black long beard and dark hair. The figure roared before it unleashed an all-encompassing blast of yellow energy, one that shot a powerful beam into the air that could be seen even from miles away just before it all vanished.

However, the smoke soon cleared and Minerva narrowed her eyes at what she saw at the bottom of the resulting crater. However, to everyone's shock, Vali stood there and was surprisingly undamaged by the attack, he didn't have a scratch on him.

Vali: Not a bad team effort, but it still won't be enough.

Minerva's thoughts: Impossible...! No one has ever survive that attack unscathed! How can he be this strong?!

Vali: Now then, it's time I show you all what real power is. 

A dark blue whirlwind blew around the elder half-demon's body, picking up his jacket a bit, before the wind condensed and Vali was engulfed in a dark blue flash.

The light then subsided to reveal Vali's own Devil Trigger, which had undergone some changes of its own.

Everyone looked in shock and felt his immense power. The demonic Vali quickly zooming to Minerva and Macbeth and blasting them all back to the far side of the rocky wall.

Lyon: You bastard! Ice Make: Ice Dragon!

A giant dragon of ice flew at him, but Vali zoomed through it, shattering it like it was nothing. Lyon looked in shock as his face was inches from Vali's demon face.

He gave the swipe of his black Yamato blade; creating a massive energy wave, that sent Lyon soaring to the wall that was near the imprisoned wizards and he smashed into the wall. 

Kagura: Slicing Form!

Kagura performs a powerful slash in the air, but Vali blocks it and sends out a crescent slash of dark blue energy which blasted her away. 

Jellal dashes toward Vali who draws his sword as he swings forward. At the same time, Jellal limboed under the horizontal slice from his sword. Vali tried to go in with a vertical from his right weapon, Jellal's right arm glowed with golden energy to block the blade.

He took Vali by surprise which left him opened for Jellal to strike him with a glowing punch to his face, knocking him back, but Vali only skidded on his feet as he appeared to take the hit.

Vali: You're good to block my sword...

Suddenly, Vali disappeared before Jellal's eyes. He then appeared behind Jellal as he swing his sword at his back.

Vali: But you're not fast enough to reach my level.

Jellal: (turns around to face him) Heavenly Body Magic: Pleiades!

Jellal raised his hand and finger up, taking a specific stance before six rays of light formed and shot upwards towards the ceiling before quickly coming back down towards Vali who readied his sword and used it to slice and parry through Jellal's attacks.

Just then, Sting, Rouge, Meredy, and Jellal surrounded him as they their attacks on Vali. 

Meredy: Maguilty Rays!

She launched a series of beams of yellow light in the form of swords at Vali. 

Jellal: Jiu Leixing!

Leaping into the air and waving his right hand back, Jellal conjured nine lightning-based swords behind his person before throwing his hand forward to launch them at Vali. 

Sting: Holy Ray!

Sting joins the open palms of his hands together, with all the fingers on one hand in contact and unleashes a barrage of light projectiles.

Rouge: Shadow Dragon Roar!

Rouge unleashes a stream of darkness from his mouth at Vali. 

Sting's thoughts: He cannot block attacks from all directions. 

Rogue's thoughts: Eliminating this guy takes priority for now.

Jellal's thoughts: We'll hit him with everything we got.

Meredy's thoughts: We got him now.

They prepared to unleash a powerful combo attack; however, Vali had actually expected this.

Vali: You pathetic fools.

Acircular wave of blue energy form around Vali before spreading out to catch them in a circle as he felt all the energy surrounding being drawn directly into Vergil, specifically the Yamato, with Sting, Rouge, Jellal, and Meredy unable to move.

Vali: Judgement Cut!

In the blink of an eye, it seemed like space itself had been cut as countless slashes could be seen in the air, with Vergil appearing past the four wizards, the Yamato being sheathed.

A split second later, the four wizards had cuts on their bodies before they fell down to the ground, unconscious as Vali's Devil Trigger fades back into his human form. 

Yukino's thoughts: (shocked) He defeated all of us without having a scratch on him... His power is just as terrifying as Acnologia's. (pulls) But still, it doesn't I won't give up! I will stop- 

Suddenly, Yukino saw the Wendigo behind her as it swung its arm at her, sending her flying onto the wall. 

Sorano: Yukino! 

Sorano was ready to scream but her look of terror became one of confusion when a large amount of grey steam had flown off the Wendigo's body. It shrank and condensed till all the leaves, twigs, and bones fell off to reveal the child-form of Beelezub.

Sorano: Wha... what was.... You're... your just a kid!

Beelzebub: My childhood died a long time ago.

Mammon: (steps in with Iblis) You'll have to forgive the kid, he's a real emo. But then again, I guess being stuck with the Wendigo inside your body could do that to ya.

Sorano: Who... who are you?

Iblis: My name is Iblis. This is Mammon and Beelezub. We are agents of the Devil Hand guild; and you, our poor little fallen angel, are coming with us. And before you ask, this is not a request. 

Before she even made a few feet, a lasso of rope had completely ensnared her, binding her arms to her body. What was strange though was this rope appeared to be made out of solid gold. Mammon, with the golden rope in hand, pulled Angel back and she fell to the ground.

Mammon gave a whistle before he spoke with a cowboy-like accent. 

Mammon: She's a feisty one right there.

He came toward her and pinned her down to the ground before began to tie her up.

Sorano: No! Let me go! Please!

Mammon tied her hands behind her back while securing the rope that kept her arms to her side.

Mammon: (began to tie her ankles together so she couldn't run away) Sorry sweety but our boss needs you.

Sorano tried to scurry away but looked up in fear as Iblis stood above her. She was ready to scream but the woman already covered her mouth with her hand and waved her finger in front of Sorano's face.

Iblis: Screaming for help? What a shame. You used to be a feared Dark Wizard, one of Six Demons, a legend in the criminal underworld. Now look at you, just a frightened child so easily captured; you're not even putting up a fight. You are a disgrace.

Mammon had finished tying her legs as he gave Iblis a cloth. The woman removed her hand from Sorano's mouth before she tied the cloth around. She finished tying and looked down at Sorano's frightened face, their eyes mere centimeters apart.

Iblis: You have no one to blame but yourself for this. You lost because you are weak and this is what you deserve for that weakness.

With that devastating verbal blow, Iblis threw the bound and gagged Sorano over her shoulder.

Iblis: Come on, we're going.

Sorano saw the young Beelzebub looking around at the defeated and unconscious wizards before looking towards Sorano. She couldn't speak but her eyes were that of desperate pleading, begging the boy to help her. Though his face bore no emotion there was a hint of regret glimmering in his eyes.

Beelzebub: Sorry.

Mammon: Come on kid, we're leaving. Unless you wanna lick your plate.

Mammon laughed at his own joke before Beelezub shot him a glare, causing him to shut up.

Iblis: Enough! We are leaving!

Vali was about to join them before he dodged an orb as he turned and saw Ultear who attacked him.  

Ultear: You're not going anyway. 

Vali: Ultear, I've looking for you. 

Ultear: Have you? I never you to be interested in me. 

Vali: Allow me to ask you something, Ultear. Why is Gray Fullbuster still alive?

Her smile vanished, not expecting a question like that. 

Ultear: I beg your pardon.

Vali: You are aware of his position in Fairy Tail and now of the guild's location. Ending his life shouldn't have been too difficult for you, especially given your own level in power compared to him.

Ultear: I've gone past that. Besides, why would I go so far out of my way to remove him? 

Vali: Perhaps because he was trained by your mother, Ur. She's alive. 

Ultear did not expect those words to come out of Vali's mouth. 

Vali: I told you before, I make it a habit not to underestimate my enemies; I learned the personal histories of Fairy Tail's strongest members, including him, and incidentally yours. You were abandoned by your mother and replaced by two young boys, which is why you felt such resentment.

Ultear: (glares) I'd watch your tone if I were you. 

Vali: So, since he is the only remnant of your mother's name, aside from another Ice Make wizard in the Lamia Scale guild, wouldn't it have made more since to eliminate him from the equation? Or do you still feel some form of attachment to the woman you once called your mother, and see him as a part of your family. 

She shot her crystal ball directly at him, only for it crash into the ground and shatter as he completely disappeared and reappeared behind her.

Ultear: None of that is your concern.

Vali: Is that why you chose to adopt that young girl Meredy?

Ultear's expression was very livid once he mentioned that name. 

Vali: To be a better mother than Ur was to you?

Anger seethed through her body as she motioned for the crystal ball, which she reformed via her Arc of Time magic, to smash at him, but he reduced it to splinters with Yamato as he jumped back. The orb reappeared again behind him and tried to smash into him, only for him to slice through it before. It appeared in front him and was sliced once more, the process repeated a multiple times as Ultear's anger-fuelled face shot daggers at him.

Ultear: You watch your mouth! You don't know a damn thing!

She angrily used her Arc of Time to create dozens duplicates of her crystal ball all around Vali and sent them all flying to him at once. He simply flicked Yamato and they were all reduced to shattered splinters on the ground. Vali rushed to her as she opened a palm and a magic circle appeared there. 

Ultear: I'll reduce that fancy sword of yours to a rusty mess!

She tried to use it, however, he simply slashed Yamato at her; causing her to go flying back. She skidded to a halt on her feet before kneeling down and feeling the wound her her abdomen. There was indeed a cut, nothing fatal but it still hurt.

Ultear looked toward him in shock as she could still see his sword without so much as a hint of rust on it. Her shocked expression was beyond words.

Ultear: How... my... my Arc of Time never fails.... You're sword should have...

Vali: This is no ordinary sword. This is Yamato, a Devil Arm created and wielded by my father. It has survived unscathed for over two millennium. Your Arc of Time may be effective at any manmade weapon, but not to this.

He delivered a roundhouse kick to Ultear's head to knock her unconscious. Vali walked over and picked up the unconscious Ultear, throwing her over his shoulder. 

Vali: However, your Arc of Time may have some use to me.

He vanished with her; once his 'guest' now his captive.

Chapter 105.5 ended.
