RILEYS POV

I smirked as the King and Samuel passed. I thought there had been something there. I turned back to Mrs. Lila who has the same look. Mrs. Lila laughed with a sigh "I think thats a spot on match. Quite cute". I nodded "Yes..." Mrs. Lila glanced my direction and resumed our walk. "I think you have a good match to, if you get past his rough exterior". I blushed and looked away. No one knew of my growing affections for the arrogant prat known as Lucas. Everyone, excpet for Mrs. Lila. That woman knew everything. I shook my head "No...no. He's so infuriatingly handsome. Not to mention he would NEVER be interested". Mrs. Lila tuted "I don't know about that dear. But I think you should at least try". I scratched the back of my head and considered the suggestion. I had started to fall in love with Lucas about a year ago. I was having a bad day at a meeting and he came to my aid. I was thoroughly suprised and touched that he had wanted to help me. It was known Lucas didn't make friends, or real ones at least. Then after the meeting he had complimented me. (Which is extremely out of character for him). And for some odd reason I held Lucas's attention. Then it had slowly grown from there. Mrs. Lila was looking at me expectantly. I blushed again "N-Now"? She nodded "Now". I bit my lip and gnawed in anxiety. I groaned "Okay. I-Ill try. But what do I say? What do I do"? Mrs. Lila winked "Leave that to me. For now, go and tell Lucas that he should be ready in a half hour. Go"! She rushed me off when I hesitated. I breathed deeply 'Dont mess this up'. After a few turns I made it to Lucas's room. I slowly tapped on the door. 'Dear God I am going to puke'. The door was thrown wide to reveal a confused yet ever so posh Lucas. He looked me up and down confused. "Riley? What are you doing here"? I was also the only one he called by first name, which made me go red. "Be ready in a half-hour". He scrunched up his face in confusion. "Why"? I despreatly shoved down the urge to run away and kept talking. "I can not say. But be ready". Lucas raised a brow. I gulped "Please". He looked at me again and nodded "Alright". Without another word he shut the door. I collapsed against the wall behind me. I ran my hands through my hair, smiling. It shouldnt have, but it took all of my strength to do that. Smiling like an idiot I rushed off to my own room...

*****TIME SKIP*****

LUCAS'S POV

I looked at my suite in the mirror. I looked dashing, I had to admit. I ran a hand through my dark hair. I hope it is appropriate, for Riley's vague request confused me. I made my way out of the room and strode down the halls. The King and Seabury rushed by me smiling to eachither like fools. I rolled my eyes as they passed. 'Dear lord'. I wasnt against gay men, I was one myself so that would make me a slight hypocrite. I just didnt really like mushy, overrated, open affection. Do that in your own time please and thank you. My thoughts wondering back to Riley I picked back up my stride to his room. I knocked on his door. I straightened my shirt cuffs and perefected myself a little more, though there wasnt that much to perfect. I heard the door open and I looked up to complain on his delay only to be stunned to silence. Riley had a simply beautiful get up, his hair fixed. His broad shoulders and chest truley showed and made me visibly gulp. However, he stood timid and shy. "A-Are you well"? Riley asked as he stepped out and shut his door. I blinked and coughed "Yes, arent I always"? Riley nodded and started walking with me. "So you can't at least tell me where your dragging me off to"? Riley scoffed "For a tiny man you are extremely fiesty". I glared. "I am NOT short. It simply isnt my fault your a beast". This emmitted a laugh from the man giving me my own small smile. I realized we were heading to the dining hall. "Are we having a dining session"? I questioned with a smirk. He turned light red and spluttered "W-Well it is dinner time". God how could one human being be so absolutely ADORABLE. I nodded with a chuckle "So it is...".  He opened the door and squeaked. I tried to get around his huge frame. "What"? Riley was now truley red as he stood aside. I gasped and couldnt fight a smile. The table was draped in delicate white with candles and barely any light. The effort for romance put into this was obvious. I saw Mrs. Lila waiting to wait on us with a smile. Riley seemed faint. "Uhm this- I-". I touched his arm "This is lovely". I wasnt lieing...it was so romantic and beautiful. Riley smiled and nodded "Oh, okay". We went and let Riley seat me. Once me sat himself Mrs. Lila came and winked "The dinner el' be out in a minute". Riley patted her hand affectionatley "Thank you Lila". Oh, ive heard of her. This woman was basically the head of everyone, besides His Majesty ofcourse. I nodded a thanks and turned back to Riley. "This is very...romantic". I laughed as Riley turned red again. "Are you aware that you turn a lovely shade of res often"? I choked out, causing him to redden further. He rolled his eyes and smacked my arm "Shut up Lucas". I put a hand over my heart. "Oh, your frigid winds of hate pain me so". Rileys eyes went wide with suprise and he laughed. "Didnt know you were a joker". I shrugged and leaned forward on my hands "Only for some". As Riley turned my (now) favorite color Mrs. Lila returned with our meal. She set down a huge plate of spaggettie before us. Mrs. Lila gave us both forks and currsied "Ill excuse myself". She left and I started. We picked up our conversation again. It was so easy to talk to him. I found myself lost in the conversation, actually enjoying myself. Usually I had to play games and run in circles when talking to the others. But Riley was so natural and open, allowing me in. And I found myself doing the same. I noticed he had gotten sauce on his face, a huge splotch near the corner of his mouth, and guffawed. "Y-You have a little something on your face". Rileys face turned adorablly confused "Where"? A brilliant idea coming to mind I smirked. I leaned forward and tilted my head. Riley froze and tensely waited. I gently licked the spot off. My smirk grew as he shivered and let out a small sigh of pleasure. I sat back slowly and licked my lips, eyes hooded. "This spaggettie really is delicious.." I yelped in suprise as he pulled me back close to him. "Shut up". I was about to cry outrage at his insult but remained silent as his lips enclosed mine. I relaxed and slowly grabbed his shoulders and kissed back. He smiled into the kiss and deepend it. Eventually we pulled back for air. Before I could stop them the words were out of my mouth "Ive been waiting so long for that love". Riley was no longer red and full of confidence the kiss had brought. He pulled me closer again and softly kissed me. "I feel the same way". He replied unable to stop smiling. I frowned "I-...Im so sorry. For being such an insensitive prat and-". Riley shushed me with another kiss. "Its alright....I love you". My breathe hitched and I giggled "Wow....really"? Riley looked at me in such deep admiration and love I had to look away. He kissed my temple. "Absolutely". I smiled. This was the greatest momment of my life....
