The next day, Shadow was heading towards the Nature Kingdom feeling very nervous. Sonic looked at him.

"Do you think it will work?" Sonic asked.

"I don't know. I'll be honest. I feel very nervous. What if she doesn't accept me?"

"If she doesn't, at least you tried and did your best." Shadow sighs quietly. When they arrived, they spotted Tails by the front gate waving at them.

"Hi guys!"

"Hey Tails. What are you doing here?"

"I came to visit Y/N but she looked busy."

"Oh...I guess we came at a bad time." Shadow said.

"Hey guys!" You came behind Tails and walked towards them.

"Guess not." Sonic said.

"Sorry. I was busy with my boyfriend."

"What were you two doing?"

"Just talking. He said something very sweet about me. He said, I was more beautiful than any other gem he has ever seen." You said with a smile.

"That's...cool." Sonic said.

"Hello again everyone." Scourge said as he walked towards them.

"Hi Scourge." Tails said. Scourge hugged you gently. You smiled at Scourge and gave him a big kiss.

"What are you guys doing here?" You asked.

"I have something to show you." Shadow said.

"Really? What is it?"

"Maybe I can show you next time. You seem busy."

"I can wait. I..." Scourge grabbed you and kissed you deeply.

"Scourge. Not now."

"Sorry babe. Got carried away."

You looked at Shadow.

"What did you want to show me?" You asked as Shadow lowered his ears.

"Can I show you...alone?"

"Sure." You and Shadow walked away. When you walked towards your room, you closed the door.

"What is it Shadow?" Shadow took off the necklace that Sonic gave him and it transformed into a guitar. You gasped in surprised.

"I have something to show you that can express my feelings towards you." Shadow began to play the guitar.

When the song was over, you begin to cry tears of joy.

"Shadow...that was beautiful."

"I just wanted to let you know that...I love you Y/N."

"Oh Shadow. You know that I'm with Scourge."

"I know but I want to be with you. To make you happy."

"I don't know Shadow." Shadow sighed in defeat.

"I understand. I'll just leave." Shadow knew that his plan failed so he left the Nature Kingdom with Sonic.

He told him that it didn't work so they decided to give up and hope that they will find a way to protect their Kingdom. Shadow felt tears in his eyes.

"I can't believe it failed."

"I'm so sorry your highness."

2 days later, Shadow was still upset about what happened with him and you.Suddenly, Sonic slowly came in with a note.

"Your highness. This letter is for you. It's from the Nature Kingdom." Shadow wiped his tears as he grabbed the letter and began to read it.

"Dear King Shadow, If you're not to busy, I need to talk to you about something important. I didn't know how to react at first but I'm hoping you'll help me out. If not, I understand. - Princess Y/N.

"Good news I'm guessing sire?" Sonic asked.

"I'm not sure yet. She said that she needs someone to talk to. Prepare to open the gates soon. A little gift will be coming over."

"Yes sir!" Sonic ran off with Shadow waiting.

When you arrived, you told Shadow that you saw Scourge cheating on you with another girl and you couldn't bare to be near him again.

"After that, I didn't know what I would do until I thought about you and...I was hoping maybe...we can try and make this work."

Shadow was surprised.

"Really?"

"Y-Yeah. Unless you don't want to..."

Shadow held your hand gently and kisses you softly.

You Blushes like crazy but slowly kiss back.

Meanwhile with the three mysterious hedgehogs,

"Any news?" The middle one asked.

"Not much. But it does seem like Y/N might start to like Shadow." The little kid said.

"What!?" The middle one asked in anger.

"So what now genius?" The left one asked.

"Let's go kill the princess!" The right one said.

"No you idiot! We're not going to kill the princess! But what we will do is steal the Kingdom artifacts and kill King Shadow! And we are sending my best friend for the job." The middle one said as he looked at the mobian kid.

"I won't fail you sir!" The mysterious kid said.

"Perfect. We'll soon see if they recognized their little friends disappearance." The middle one chuckled as he turned around looking at the closet.

"Mmmm! Mmmm! (Help! Help!)"

"Our plan to rule the world is almost complete. We will be unbeatable and Y/N will be my Queen!" They begin to evil laugh.
