Mabel Gleeful
How stupid for my loser brother to bring that girl here. I was about to tell him all about my great plan, but she invited the blonde girl over. How could such a pathetic thing like him be related to such a genius mastermind like me? I don't get it. Someone elaborate.
'Hello, Dipshit.' I grinned.
Dipper's face faltered, 'Hello Mabel.' He looked back at me, 'Why so glum?' I questioned, exchanging the apple between my palms as I put all my concentration into them.
'You're back early, Mabel.'
'So what? This is our house, I can do whatever the fucking hell I want, even stuff without you knowing.' I spat back at him, his eye twitched for a split second and I continued to tease him.
'Dippy, you're too panicky over these things. What's gotten your pants in a twist? You look at me like I just killed our parents.' I shrugged towards him and the girl. The girl immediately tensed up. 'Oh, chillax, it was only a metaphor.' I said, taking another bite from my apple.
The blonde bimbo averted her gaze to look at Dipper and he took a sharp intake of air. 'Mabel, I'm here to get something.' Dipper forced his shoulders back down and turned his head to look back at Pacifica, Pacifica gave him a 'what do we do now' look and my stupid brother took his equally idiotic skanky 'girlfriend' upstairs.
I gave a huff and sat back down, they were probably about to do something weird. I never felt that the 'Phoebe' girl was into that kind of stuff. Guess I thought wrong then.
I clicked my fingers and a magazine appeared out of thin air. I was beginning to read it but then I wondered to myself: Why did I feel like my brother and the girl were up to something? Was it the awkward expression on their faces or was it the fact that I felt guilty for locking the girl's cousin up?
It's probably their faces, gosh were they weird.
Pacifica Pines
I had never seen such a big house before. In proportion to Mabel who all sprawled out on the couch in front of the door, this house was huge, it was even bigger on the inside.
The living room. Living room? I guess I could call it that, but it looked so much more than that. It was purely covered in dark wallpaper, was this house from the victorian times or something? In the corner of the room, there were tall towering bookcases and display cases of what seemed like taxidermy butterfly and insects.
Dipper lunged at me while Mabel looked down at her magazine. Wait, where did that come from?
He grabbed my hand and steered clear from Mabel, Dipper took me to a closed-off corridor with two staircases going up on opposite sides.
'Y'know, without context, this looks really wrong.' I joked, covering my smile with a hand.
'No time for jokes Pacifica.'
It was so odd and out of place, him saying my name, my real name.
'Go up here, I'll go up the other way. These two staircases lead to different wings of the house: The west wing and the east wing. You go now, tell me if you see anything out of place or weird. Let's meet here in 10 minutes.' Dipper explained.
I nodded in response. 'Do you have your phone with you?' He asked me, head turning away to head to the other side of the hallway.
'Yep.' I affirmed, I took my phone out, was it alright to take photos of someone's house without telling them? Is that rude? What if this wasn't Mabel's doing? But then why was she acting so weird? I couldn't trust either of them, I really couldn't and I shouldn't. I was putting my uncle's trust in me on the line, if this all came down to nothing and Gideon was just being grumpy and moody then it would be me who was getting punished, not Gideon, not Dipper, not Mabel.
I clicked my phone on. 10 minutes, right? Well, let's see what I can find.
