Words & Action

Morning...

Marina began to wake up. She felt something hard on her body and slowly opened her eyes. She turned around and saw Trystan sleeping soundly and comfortably. Her eyes then trailed down to his muscular chest. She wanted to squeal but kept it to herself.

Although they had only known each other for a little longer than a week, both made love. Usually, Marina would take time to get to know and trust a person, but she felt she had known him for eternity. She looked up again and saw Trystan waking up. "Sorry, did I wake you?"

"Not all. How are you feeling?" Trystan asked while touching her back.

"Perfect." She kissed his lips. He did the same.

He put his arms around her waist and got on top of her. They continued their passionate kiss. Both separated, looked at one another and smiled.

"You may wash; I will await you in the library. I want to speak to you about something."

Marina nodded, got off the bed, and went to the bathing room, nude. Once she arrived, some female puppets were waiting for her. The female puppets prepared the bath. She got in the warm water and felt her muscles relax. She closed her eyes and had flashbacks of the previous night. A smile came across her face and touched her lips. "Trystan." There was no feeling of regret. About thirty minutes later, she opened her eyes, and a puppet servant came in and brought her a light rosy dress.

After having a warm bath, the puppet servants dried her body and assisted her with her attire. When finished, she looked at herself in the mirror held by another puppet; she was ready and went off towards the library.

When she got there, the door was half-opened. Marina entered.

Once inside, she saw Trystan sitting on a chair holding a scroll. He looked up and smiled. He extended his hand to her.

They held one another.

"Relaxed?"

"Very."

Then, Trystan led her to a comfortable sofa-like chair, and both sat upon it. He made his lover sit with him. "Marina, I want to speak with you on a serious matter."

Marina nodded. "Okay."

"You have lived here in Atlantis, deep in the ocean, for a while. Do you have the desire to go back home?"

She did not expect this question from him. "I miss my home, friends, and family, and I want to see them again. However, I am afraid that if I do, then I might not come back again." The thought of that terrified her.

"Do you tire of staying here, never seeing the light of day? Not being able to breathe the fresh air?"

A slight chuckle escaped her. "Fresh air, the atmosphere is covered in carbon dioxide. The air isn't that fresh. I do at times, but it isn't a big deal. Why are you asking me all these questions?"

Trystan sighed. "We made love; it was the most beautiful feeling ever. We both confessed that we loved each other." He pulled Marina closer to him and took a deep breath. "Do you still feel the same way?"

Marina's heart was beating quicker when he asked that question. She did not want to lie. "I-I...yes. I still do." She hugged him as she enjoyed feeling his warmth.

She did not notice the smile that Trystan had. "I, too, share the same sentiment. You are the woman I love, and want to love you forever. Marina, will you stay with me?"

Marina was shocked. She could not move or speak. He wanted her to stay with him!? Tears formed in her eyes as she hugged Trystan tighter.

"Marina, what's wrong!? Did I do something wrong!?"

"No. I'm crying out of joy! I do want to stay with you!"

Trystan's heart was filled with happiness and joy! He then prepared himself to ask his final question. "I know that I am immortal and that you are mortal, but I will do everything to find a way to end my immortality. I wanted to ask is w-would you be my wife?"

The library was silent. The couple heard only the flickering of the candle fire.

The king's heart was beating in anticipation. He looked at the woman before him to understand her expression. She did not say anything; he became afraid. "M-Marina?"

Without warning, she began to squeal, and her grip on him became stronger. "Y-Yes! Of course! You bet your ass I will!"

Happiness overwhelmed the king. He stood and picked up the love of his life and twirled her around. He then kissed her.

Both were happy.

"You made me the happiest man on this damned earth. I wish that I was mortal to give you a normal life."

"Normality has different forms, Trystan. It is what we make it. I don't care how long it takes to end your immortality. I will stay with you until the end of my days. So be it if there is a way to make me immortal."

Suddenly, Trystan put Marina down and became expressionless; this worried Marina.

"What's wrong?"

"I feel a presence on the Bermuda Triangle." He closed his eyes and saw a vision. "I see a man with blonde hair and blue eyes, and I hear him calling your name."

"Blonde hair? A man? Wait, Skylar!? Why is he on the Bermuda Triangle!?"

"I don't know, my love, but if he goes there, he will surely be pulled in."

Skylar POV

It was early morning.

After the investigators canceled the search, I rented a boat. I made sure to go where no one could see me. I didn't want anyone to stop me. I made a promise to find Marina's body. I knew the risk of going to the Bermuda Triangle, but hell with it. I turned on the boat and drove it to the ocean.

My dad and I used to come here during vacations, and he taught me how to drive a boat.

I am now grateful for that, for I am putting the skills he taught me to good use. The air is freezing, and I know the water is also cold. I wear a warm jacket, so it isn't a big deal.

The calm waters changed as I got farther from land and into the ocean. Waves formed; they were hitting the boat hard. Then, I heard thunder in the sky.

Bizarre.

It was so calm, but now it was like a storm. Then, the tracking device went dead, and my blood went cold. I tried the radio to see if it would work.

Nothing.

Crap!

Then, to my horror, my boat stopped working. I tried to turn it on again, but nothing. I was so screwed! I then realized that I was probably close...no...Was in the Bermuda Triangle!

Crap!

The waves got more prominent, and the boat moved along with the waves. I lost my balance. I then heard a loud sound coming from the ocean; I got to the side of the boat and saw the ocean forming into a whirlpool!

This is not good!

I tried to get the boat going and called for help, but nothing. The boat was going into the whirlpool! The force was too great, and I couldn't keep my balance!

There were breaking sounds on the boat. It was getting destroyed by the waters.

I tried to stand but lost footing and fell into the cold ocean!

I was going to die!

......................................................................

"He fell through the portal."

"Trystan, Skylar, a friend of mine! Please save him!" pleaded Marina.

He looked at Marina and merely nodded at her request. He went to the entrance while she followed. With a snap of his fingers, the doors opened, and he took off his clothes. Before he went, soft pair of arms were around his waist.

"Please be careful, Trystan."

"I promise that I will come back." He gave her a quick kiss and went to the ocean waters. He shapeshifted into a merman and swam to the Bermuda Triangle portal. Deep down, he felt uncertainty. Everything was going perfectly for him. He finally would have had someone beside him, but now this happened. He had to save another man, who was closer to Marina.

Trystan swam closer to where Skylar was.

The king caught sight of him drowning deeper in the ocean. Trystan swam faster and got a hold of Skylar. A part of him wanted to let the human male drown but did not want Marina to get hurt. He used his magic so Skylar could breathe and began to swim back to his palace.

When he arrived home and went inside the palace, Trystan changed back to his standard form.

Marina waited and looked horrified at sight. "Oh my! Is he...?"

"No, I used my magic to help him breathe. He is just unconscious." Trystan held onto Skylar and walked to a guest room; his love followed.

Once they entered a guest room, Trystan put Skylar on the bed. He then laid his hand on Skylar's chest, and it glowed.

Skylar began to cough out water.

Marina sat next to him, gently touching his head.

That troubled Trystan, but he did not say a word, for he only watched.

About ten minutes later, Skylar opened his eyes. His sight was blurry, but he regained it as time passed by.

Marina sat closer. "Skylar?"

Skylar didn't blink; he slowly sat up and looked at his surroundings. He turned his head, and his eyes landed upon Marina. His lips became as wide open as his eyes. He slowly put his hand on her right cheek. "Marina, is that you!? You-you're alive!?"

She smiled. "Yeah, it's me, alive and well.

Skylar hugged his friend; she did the same.

While the two were having their friendly reunion, Trystan watched for a bit but left the room, for he could not bear to see any more of what he had just witnessed.
