Chapter Two

The next morning was hectic for everyone involved in the peace treaty, except Loki. He wasn't able to figure out what the fuss was about. He had done everything the night before so he was prepared, why wasn't everyone else?

"Loki, are you ready?" Thor asked as he walked by his brother who was sat down on one of the steps, head resting on his hand.

"Of course brother, but are you?" He quipped. This caused Thor to chuckle. The two knew that Thor was the least prepared out of the two of them. For everything. No matter what it was, Thor was never prepared.

As the two made their way to Heimdal to use the bifrost they made idle chatter. Speaking of matters in the kingdom, reminiscing on the past, among other things. One topic that was brought up was the possibility of a future queen. "You do understand that you will at some point need a queen to rule by your side, correct?"

"Yes brother, I'm aware. Sadly there is no woman I have in mind." Thor explained, even though he was king and had many women throwing themselves at him, he had no interest in them. For the longest time he only had eyes for Jane, once the two had separated he hadn't thought of another woman since. "You know how hard it was for me to get over Jane."

"She had a friend who was interested in you, did she not?" Loki asked. If he remembered correctly, which he did most of the time, there was another woman who was interested in him.

"Yes, lady Darcy. She seemed rather infatuated with me during my time on Midgard. And you." Loki groaned at the thought. He never liked Midgardians. They were never equal to him in his eyes. "Perhaps you should be seeking out a maiden for courtship."

"Thor, you should be more worried about your courtship." Thor scoffed. "After all, being the King of Asgard means you will need a queen."

Once the brothers had reached their destination they exchanged farewells and Loki was sent to Midgard.
