Ghost Moutain
"Ghost Mountain!?" I gasped, "we have to get it!"
"Zach, you can't, It's guarded by Gorbachav himself." Warned Sarah.
"I don't care if it's guarded by the FBI, I'm getting that flower" I said and stormed from the room.
"What's the effbee I?" Asked Jay.
"Sorry, you wouldn't know who they are, it's a human thing," I sighed.
Sarah caught up to me and yanked my scruff back to slow me down. Dust flew as we skidded to a messy stop. I stood and spat dust, Then licked a paw and ran it over my head where she ruffled my fur.
"What was that for?!" I exclaimed.
"Sorry, I didn't think you would stop if I just yelled at you, so I went to extreme measures." She apologized
"Nobody's done that since I was a kit," I huffed.
"Yes I know, but you can't just go running off, that would be reckless, I suggest we send out some of the older trained warriors to Ghost Mountain." said Sarah.
"So you're not giving up?" asked Zara.
"No, but we should take this from a intelligent angle. You three are young, two of you are the heirs to the throne, one of you is blind. And all of you know zilch about battle, or ghosts."
We sat there in stunned silence as the information sunk in. I had to admit, she had a point, but me and Zara's birthday was just a few days away.
Then we would probably move on to being a Battle-claw apprentice.
"Fine, but they better be good warriors." I sighed.
"You guys will have to talk to Rusty about that, I'm going back to try to break Nepal's fever, come Jay, you can learn from this." Sarah stated.
"Okay, see you guys later." And Jay ran off.
"What do we do now?" Asked Zara.
"Sarah is right, we know nothing about ghosts, so we should go to the library."
After grabbing a few mice we headed to the library. There wasn't a whole lot about ghosts themselves, just four books on ghost lore, and a few fiction novels written by Scribe-claws. Zara and I spent the rest of the day there reading everything we could, and found out a few things. Ghost can do basically three things, invisibility, intangibility, and they can yell. They can physically hurt things if they need too though. There was nothing on weaknesses though.
"Ugh, I give up, Zach if I have to read another book, I think I might kill something, can we go talk to Rusty now?"
I looked up at the scroll I was reading. Zara definitely looked ready to kill something. I sighed and rolled up the scroll, then placed it back on the shelf. Zara whooped and we quietly padded out of the library. We found Rusty in a training hollow, it was full of Ice-claws older than us, and Rusty was watching from the side. I walked up and quietly whispered into his ear what had happened in the past three hours, he didn't interrupt or gasp at all. He got up and walk out of the hollow. The class watched as we went, but continued on when we were out of the vicinity.
"I see the problem here is great, I have a few candidates in mind, but you will have to give me some thinking time. Come back tomorrow at dusk, you'll have your answer then." Augustus stated.
"Thanks sir, it means a lot." I said and he padded off.
"What now?" I asked when he was gone.
"We'll just have to wait and see." said Zara.
