Blind to their worth
Numb to the pain
Scars hidden beneath sleeves
And emotions behind bars
When I say numb I really mean that
The pain never goes
It fades and it flares
It rises and falls
But always returns
Intrusive thoughts
And suicidal images
Pass through their mind
Maybe if they cut it will all go away this time
But no
It never does
Back it comes full force
And nothing stops it
Death is imagined as bliss
And pain is used to numb the pain
But really the cycle closes in
Ensnared by evil
And enraptured by their misery
What they don't see is
You hold the key
To free them of their chains
But they refuse to accept it
