Without you, I'm just a sad song.

Alexander POV

"I don't care if you are busy, get the fucken place ready and pull your fucken head out of your ass, or ill pull your head off your neck!" I slammed the phone against the table, causing the screen to crack.

"WILLIAM!!" I shouted.

The office door flew open and William came rushing in almost falling over the slight step into the office.

"Yes?  Is there any news?" he asked, stopping a moment to catch his breath.

"They need to transfer her to the main pack hospital, but there is no fucking space in the special care unit," I responded, I can't believe my own pack doctor does not even care enough about his Luna. I guess he will not be alive much longer if he continues with his fucktart attitude.

"Alp... Alex, there is no way, there has to be space. Its the biggest hospital out of all of them with the best intensive care." William responded the way I thought he would.

"Well, I'm headed there now, to see for myself and if he is lying William... I swear to the Moon Goddess I am going to kill that asshole!" 

"Just relax first. Maybe he is telling the truth.."

I threw a stack of papers in his direction, causing the papers to scatter everywhere. "This is a list of all the rooms! Only 6 of the 20 is occupied, William! So don't tell me to relax! She is my fucking mate and I screwed up! I need to get her better! She needs to know how sorry I am." 

"We all do things we regret in some way or the other Alexander. You just have to own up to it. Life does not come with a handbook, and I'm sure if you try hard enough she will move past it. I saw the way she looked at you."

"Easier said than done. Your not the one who wanted her the one moment, and pushed her away the next."  I said truthfully. 

Since I found her and her friend exactly 4 weeks, 2 days, and 11 hours ago Zane has been radio silent. He blames me, and quite honestly, I blame myself. She has been in a state of shock, a coma, and her body has been forced to shift. Which made everything worse, first her body needs to heal from the shift in order to heal from the numerous cuts, silver acid burns and not to mention that her blood pressure has been sky high the entire first two weeks.

"How is the other girl doing?" William asked taking a seat at my desk.

"She is fine, she woke up, does not remember anything except for being taken by Mitch," I said.

"and the other one? the human who we found locked in the cages?" he asked.

"Katy? she is doing fine. She is actually at home, busy with Bella and Lily. She offered to look after her today." I responded. We found the poor girl locked up in a cell. We spent 3 weeks with her in a locked room to determine whether or not she is trustworthy. She seemed like she was in shock the entire time but the truth wolves, who could sense a liar better than anyone alive cleared her of any suspicions. So far she is harmless, helps the pack, and has been visiting Monica at times. 

"That is good," he said. but I could sense something was bothering him. He has been hiding it for the last few days...

"William, we have to go now. So talk? What is wrong?"

He took a breath and looked at me with worry "You saw that place, you saw the silver chains that were coated in the wolfsbane. You saw the cells... how did she break out of those chains?" 

"I don't know, but you should have seen the few men she killed. I don't know how she managed to do that with that tiny body of hers, but Tim was just a bit smarter. At least he is dead now." I responded. I grabbed my things and walked towards the door. "Let's go," I said. "We are stopping there before I head to the hospital."

I walked towards the building, I've been here most days. Just today I had to do some pack business, other days I would spend there the entire day. 

"Alpha, Lily is not very happy today, she keeps crying and has begun to run a fever." Bella mind linked me.

"Bring her to the hospital that is closest to you, I am here, visiting... Monica." I responded. The past few weeks have been worse than the time that Cecile revealed her true colors and identity.  Monica has been nothing but caring and compassionate, she loves Lily. Shit, she is going to kill me if she knows that she is not feeling well. 

I walked into the hospital building, with only one destination. Her room was filled with different wildflowers. She seemed like a wildflower person. Someone who stands out, instead of fitting in.

I took my seat next to her bed. Her body was at peace, but the scars on her arms were not healing completely. The silver acid has burnt cut wounds into her skin, the wounds on her head have healed completely. It's just these wounds on her arms. The idiot who did this probably did not mix the mixture before just thronging it onto my mate. Her legs were healed from the chain marks and other that more physical injuries she may seem fine. It's the internal battle that scared me.

Since I've been coming here I started to talk to her more and more. They say it will be good for her, that she may be able to hear me. 

I took her hand in mine. Kissing it softly. Goddess, I love her, and I miss her so much. The mate bond is a terrible thing, it makes you fall deep and hard at the same time. The night I went after her I knew I needed to go alone. I was too scared that we had a rat in the pack and that would risk her life. I only told William when I took him for a run to the western border. He was not happy about the idea, but it needed to be done.

Zane has never been so agitated. When we found her there, seconds away from being killed, Zane lost the last bit of humanity that tied our souls in harmony. There were only loose body parts left of Tim. He tore his body apart within seconds. Even I was scared of myself, of Zane of what we were capable of.

I need to feel again... I need to feel my wolf, I hope Monica can bring him back because even though I can shift, I felt Zane's absence inside my body and soul.

Coming back to reality I decided to tell her about Lily. She loved Lily and maybe that will bring her closer back to us.

"So. Lily has been asking for you. Non-stop, that daughter of yours loves you more than you will ever know or be able to understand... Just as much as I have come to love you, Monica. I am so sorry for everything. I just want you back. More than anything I want a restart. I've been such an idiot- "

The door flew open as I was still talking to her. Bella stood there with Lily in her arms. Lily's cheeks were red and all puff, probably from crying and having a fever. 

"Daddy" she cried, trying to get loose from Bella's hold.

I walked over to her and took her from Bella. "Thank you, Bella. Would you mind asking the doctor to come to the room, please." I asked. 

"Mama sleep," Lily said softly in my ear.

"Yes, Princess. Would you like to say hello to Mommy?" I asked her kissing her little cheek.

"WAIT!"

Before I could even think of putting Lily next to Monica someone came screaming into the room.

"What?" I snapped back.

"We have to check her first. If she has any form of illness she could spread it to the Luna." the young doctor responded. He was not Monica's doctor but he showed much more care for his Luna than the darn fucktart.

"Shit. okay" I pulled Lily closer and she started to cry and fidget in my arms.

"Let's take some blood and run some tests. Then we will know." 

I nodded and we walked out of the room, this doctor was on his own mission.

Three hours later he came running into the room where Lily was sleeping. He looked a mess and had a large basket filled with Goddess knows what. "POISONED!!" He basically shouted down the hall "get me those wolfsbane counter pills NOW!!"  

He rushed back into the room and pushed me aside. The darn idiot can be glad I was... wait... what the fuck

"Who is poisoned?" I asked, trying my best to be calm

"She." he pointed to Lily.

My blood began to boil as I rushed out of the room.

"BELLA and KATY!" I screamed in both mind link and through my Alpha command. "Get to the fucking hospital now!! I don't care if you are fucking or naked, you get here NOW!!! All guards. Escort them here. NOW! not later NOW!!"

I walked back to my daughter, she seemed fine, but wolfsbane is not something you mess with. If it stays in the system so long it can kill any werewolf.

Bella came running into the room. "What happened?"  she asked. 

I stood from my chair. "Did you watch Lily today?" 

"Yes, only when I went to the bathroom did Katy look after her. She has been under our eyes the entire time." 

"Where is Katy because I know in hell you did not poison my daughter."

"What? p...poisoned?" She said stuttering. 

"Where is she?" 

"She went for a jog when I last saw her," she said.

"Fine her. GO. Get Cole and William and find that bitch!" 

William decided not to come with me today. His mind has been up to his ass for weeks, but I don't blame him.

"Thank you Doctor Green," I said as the doctor gave Lily some medication and fluids.

"It's my job Alpha, I won't have anything happen to this princess," he said pulling a blanket over Lily. She will be fine in a few hours. I think we should hold her overnight. 

I agreed and decided to go see Monica one last time, before heading home.

The door was closed so I opened it, the doctor was standing over her, putting in some sort of white liquid into the IV drip.

When I stepped into the room he almost let the syringe fell from his hand. "What is that I asked."

"uh... just... its... Alpha" he stuttered, obviously lying.

"I asked you a question Dr. Hill" I snapped, starting to lose my patience. Dr. Green came walking into the room and took a look at the other doctor. There were unspoken words between them as Dr. Green took a hold of Monica's file.

"Why in the hell is she getting a double dose of the Wolfsbane counter pills?  and why is she not on WolfSilver?" he asked, he looked truly and utterly shocked.

"The WolfSilver is too expensive to try here, there is not even a chance that-" Dr. Hill spat out but I decided to cut him off.

"Too EXPENSIVE!" I shouted. "All I want is my mate to get better, and you fucking dare tell me that. I'll tell you what. You are fired and stripped of your rank and place in this pack! I'll use your salary to buy her what she needs. That way we are even, you fuckin idiot!!!" I shouted. "GO!!! Just go, before I kill you here and now"

My words barely left my mouth and he was gone. I turned to Dr. Green. "You are now her doctor. DO what you must, and if you dare say anything about costs you can follow Hills example."
