“This just in, there have been reports that many who possess high kinetic power have
been found dead lying in the alleys,” the news reporter said.
“Authorities are trying to figure out who’s been causing chaos and terror in our beloved
town,” the reporter stated.
“That’s all on KN 3, Kinetic News, Channel 3,” the reporter said as the theme music
started to play. I turned off the TV.
“This is serious,” Jade told me
“If the many of the most powerful kinesis wielders have died, who knows what chance us
students have,” I told her
“I wonder…,” Jade started to think
“Yeah, what’s on your mind,” I asked
“I wonder if the situation will become so big that The Chosen Angels have to be
involved,” she tells me.
“Who are The Chosen Angels?” I asked
“You really don’t know anything, don’t you Cole,” she said. I looked at her my face
looking very confused. Jade sighs and then tries to explain who The Chosen Angels were.
“The Chosen Angels are composed of three strong kinetic users. They basically control
the days we live and protect our town of serious danger. The three Chosen Angels are,
Sparrow who has possession of Aciukinesis. He has the ability to control how sharp an object can
be. He is an expert swordsman and has the ability to fly to. He was granted this power
only due to a situation no one knows about. There is also Luna who has Lunarkinesis, she
has a flute she always carries around which helps her control the night. She gets her
source of energy from the moon, unless the moon is destroyed she stays standing. Lastly,
there is Ace who has Photokinesis, which is the ability to control light. He controls the
day with the huge sun logo that he has located on his chest,” Jade explains.
“Wow, I had no idea that there was a group that powerful,” I said
“Come on we can’t be late again,” Jade told me. I took my bag and headed out the door
walking and talking with Jade.
“See ya Jade,” I told her
“Bye, meet me in the Enhancement Hall,” she told me. I tried hurrying to my next class,
Precision. I was rushing and rushing. BUMP! I stood up and realized I ran into Jonah,
Jonah Wolf. He is the King of Naturewood Academy, our school. “Watch where you’re going you clumsy cripple,” it was Crystal, Crystal Holland. She
was a Rank 5, Cryokinesis user. She has the ability to control and make ice.
“Are you listening, move out the way or I’ll freeze your heart,” she said. I grabbed my
stuff and left with a confident look because to be honest, there was nothing scary about
those two.
“This crippled, he showed no fear when facing us higher ranked students,” Jonah
whispered to himself.
“I have a strange feeling, that this student is more than just a crippled. He shows too
much confidence for a crippled student. Usually others would fear me if they were stuck
in this situation,” he whispered again to himself.
“I might have to get Casey and Liam to help me out,” Jonah tells himself.
---LATER ON DURING THE DAY---
RING! RING! Jonah was walking out his class but was then cut off by Jade
“Hey Jonah!” Jade says
“We have matters to discuss about,” Jonah says. Jade follows Jonah into the Discussion
Dormitory.
“What is it Jonah,” Jade says seriously
“Before we start, I need to tell you of your friend, the crippled,” Jonah says
“His name is Cole,” Jade corrects him
“Yeah, please control him. I walk in the hallway and out of nowhere he comes crashing
into me,” he says. Jade boils up because she doesn’t like to be told what to do
“You don’t tell me what to do, Jonah,” Jade replies
“I still ask myself why you even hang out with a cripple like him,” Jonah tells Jade.
“It’s called being a friend, I don’t care how weak you are, I am willing to be anyone’s
friend, it’s called true friendship Jonah, one day try to experience that yourself,” Jade
explains.
“I don’t think low of others, I look at everyone as an equal,” she says.
“Jade, it’s called hierarchy. The students at the top are more powerful than the ones
closer to the bottom,” Jonah says
“I follow a system, Jade. It’s my job to make sure everyone knows where they hold their
place. If I didn’t do my job right, what kind of example am I setting to others, what kind
of kind would I have been?” Jonah asks
“A better king then what you are today,” Jade replies. “Whatever, you’ll probably never change anyway,” Jade says
“About the news, we have to keep our fellow students away from the troubling situation,”
Jade says.
“Correct, if higher ranked ability wielders have fallen, what does that say about the
students of Naturewood Academy?”Jonah replies back.
“We’ll have to be prepared for any oncoming attacks and threats,” Jade says
“It won’t be easy to contain, so many of us…” Jonah says but is cut off by Jade
“We will be able to do it. I have faith in everyone in this Academy, we won’t take failure
as an option,” Jade says. Later on throughout the day our king, Jonah Wolf stands tall and
announces his important news.
“There will be new safety precautions taken in due to the current news that has been
happening around town,” Jonah says.
“We will assure you that nothing will happen to the Naturewood name,” he says. There
are mumbles and questioning among the crowd of students.
“We can handle ourselves,” someone from the crowd announces
“YEAH!” everyone in the crowd replies. I looked over at Jade, she looked serious, I
guess this matter isn't something that should be take lightly.
“You guys need to appreciate that you’re even getting help from your fellow king and
queen, myself and Jade,” Jonah says. Everyone stares back at Jade who still looks
serious, seriously worried that is of course.
“Therefore anyone who rebuffs will be expelled from Naturewood Academy,” Jonah
says.
“HEY! That wasn’t part of the conversation we had earlier,” Jade says.
“This is serious Jade, so that means serious actions have to be done in order to keep the
Naturewood name standing,” Jonah says back
“This shouldn’t be about the Naturewood name, it’s about saving the innocent. I already
told you earlier that I don’t think low of my fellow students here at Naturewood
Academy,” Jade says then looks over at me.
“Jade if you rebuff again, just know that I have the power to remove you from your
position as queen of Naturewood Academy,” Jonah says. Jade didn’t care because she
knew she was standing up for what’s right.
“Remove me if you want, but I won’t let you try to put these innocent students in
danger,” Jade says.
“Jade Gem, you are hereby removed from the position of queen…” Jonah is cut off
“I don’t care, I just want to help out. I don’t care if I’m queen or not because that doesn’t
change how I will look at others. Each and every one of these students here are equals. This has nothing to do with hierarchy, Jonah. All we have to do is make sure
everyone here stays safe,” Jade says.
“Anyone, who agrees join me in helping out the innocent,” Jade says.
“And if anyone agrees with me join me in keeping the Naturewood name sacred, pure,
and everlasting,” Jonah says. I see many people have left their group of friends and
decided what THEMSELVES believed in. I saw so many people abandon their friendship
even though Jade is right about this situation. Myself I went to go with Jade because
keeping others safe is better than keeping the Naturewood name long-living.
“This isn’t what I expected at all, but I have to do what I have to do in order to save
others lives,” Jade said.
“It’s okay Jade, I believe in your opinions, I’ll always support you,” I told her.
