Chapter 3
A/N: Hey guys! So the last chapter was my layout of Tadashi. What did you think? Let me know in the comments. Anyways, this chapter picks up from chapter 2. Enjoy!
Shino stayed for a couple of days under the pretense of getting to know his son. He sent word to the leaf that he would be away a bit longer than he originally anticipated. They approved of his actions, and we spent the next few days together as a family. However, all good things must come to an end I'm afraid.
On the day he was to leave, Shino and I made a promise to each other.
"Promise me you'll take care of yourself, ok?" I asked him, hugging him tightly.
"I will Kimi, and I ask that you promise me the same" He replies, fingers combing through my now shoulder length hair.
"Always, Shino. You should know that by now" I smiled, then let him go so he could say goodbye to Tadashi.
"Daddy don't leave" my son cried, tears running down his cheeks as he hugged his father.
"I have to bud, I'm sorry. But don't worry ok? We'll be together again soon, I promise" Shino said, trying to calm him down.
*later that day*
After Shino left, I had a lot to think about with regards to my future. I wanted to keep my son safe, but I also wanted him to have Shino in his life. By the time I climbed into bed, I thought I had made a decision.
*the next day*
I spoke with Phoenix the next morning, asking for his opinion. He had met Shino during his stay here so he understood the challenges.
With his help, I decided to leave Tadashi with his "uncle" and travel back to the Leaf village alone for the first time in years. I also left Eriko behind to keep Tadashi company since the big fluff ball had become protective of my son since his birth.
It was a long journey, and I started to doubt my decision after a while. But when I saw the gates of my childhood home, I gathered my courage and walked into the village that I had left 5 years earlier. I was stopped at the gate, of course. I gave my fake name "Kimiko Summers" and provided my i.d. to the guards. They allowed me to pass, and as I started to walk away I heard them mutter a name I hadn't heard in a long time.
"Did you see the news story today?" one of the guards asked his companion, and I pretended to be looking around while trying to eavesdrop.
"You mean the one about the Inuzuka clan? Yeah I saw that. It's a shame about what happened. The poor girl was so young, it almost isn't fair" the second guard responded, and that caught my full attention.
I walked back over the guard station, acting like a curious tourist. "I'm sorry I think I'm a bit lost. I'm looking for the Aburame clan household" I asked, playing clueless.
"Of course miss. Go straight down this street and take a right onto the second road down. It's the third home on the left. You can't miss it" one of the men answered.
I thanked them for their help, then followed the directions they gave me and soon enough I was standing in front of Shino's clan household. I was debating whether or not to go up to the door when someone walked outside and down the walkway to the street. I instantly recognized the figure's identity, calling out "Shino" so only he could hear.
The figure looked up, confused at first as to who was calling for him before his eyes landed on me and I saw them light up. He walked over to me a quick pace, stopping a foot away from me before speaking.
"You came back" he said.
"I wanted to" I replied.
He sighed, then leads me to a hidden area so we can talk privately.
"Kimi....this wasn't a good idea. There's a ne-" he started, but I cut him off.
"I already know, hun. But we know it isn't true" I replied.
We made a plan for exposing my mother's lies and secrets. It all started later that night, when I was reunited with my sister Hana and my twin Kiba. Shino brought them to an abandoned training ground, with my former teammates Shana and Hanara tagging along in addition to Hanara's twin Hinata.
As a group we made the decision to approach the hokage and explain what had happened. The next day, we put our plan into action.
The hokage listened to my story, and agreed that my mother must be punished for her actions. The Anbu were sent to the Inuzuka compound to take my mother into custody, and I was given an anbu outfit in order to be the one to lead the group.
When Tsume Inuzuka found out I was alive, she instantly became defensive. But in the end, my nightmare ended with her being sent to jail for life and my son being returned to me.
A year after all of this happened, Shino and I got married. We had another child named Akira.
Tadashi was an amazing big brother to Akira, and I couldn't have been more proud. In front of the entire village, I was finally given my title of chunnin as well as initiated into the Anbu. I retained my status as a Sound ninja, lending my help when needed.
Over time, Shino and I expanded our family.
What started out as 3 became 4, and what was 4 became 9.
After Akira, we had Lucy and then Serenity. These were our last two biological children. However, Shino and I took a mission that sent us to the Snow village. While there, we were bringing much needed supplies to a children's shelter. This brought us to meet our 3 adopted children, Amaya and her little brothers Carter and Gabriel.
My mother was one of the first major trials in the history of the Leaf village. I testified against her, and she was given the death penalty for abusing me when I was little and defenseless.
Hana married her boyfriend Henry, adding not only him but his little sister Abby to the clan. Hana also took on the role of clan head, and I ended up with two nieces and two nephews: Jessica, Jacob, Jeremy, and Hope.
