i feel like this can be a jungkook trigger book, your comments are gold! 😂 this was so much fun to write and i am really glad that all of you enjoyed this story. tbh, i felt like slapping fictional jungkook 99% of the time.

before i begin my explanation, i would like to clarify that some of the members know each other IRL but do not know that they are playing the same game. so i hope you can guess who knows who :)

DISCLAIMER:
LONG ASS CHAPTER AHEAD

FACTS ABOUT THE GAME
1) players are able to murder another player without knowing.

- unless you are the soul reaper (in this case, aka jeon jungkook) who can use his benefits to check.

2) a player can choose to be 'stuck' at one particular track if he/she doesn't read finish the lyrics.

- thus, the player can still play the same track over and over again + never complete the game.

3) death count only counts the people who: sinned greatly + had a near death experience (escaped death) more than once.

- for those who aren't counted, they never had a near death experience before and ultimately died because a player in wings chose them/didn't choose them based on the questions that the players were given.

- there is a limit for each track. the limit of how many people a player can kill per track.

- taehyung mentioned once that the max is 400 but bear in mind, that he could be lying. so the limit could be a much higher number than what taehyung stated.

4) no one knows who created the computer game.

- death angels are what inspired the game to be named wings.

5) the people who are suitable to become choices for the game have to fit the criteria:

a) they did unforgivable things to the people around them.
b) they will never turn over a new leaf.

- those who became choices for the game's questions, all of them did something utterly terrible to the people around them. thus, the game entered their names + the most recent sin that they committed as choices. so they can be punished.

6) anyone in the world can play the game, regardless of their age or place.

- the choices (aka the horrible people) can be from anywhere in the world.

7) if one player stopped playing the game, he/she will be tormented by the voices of those they chose/didn't choose (based on the question given) so the higher the death count, more voices will haunt the player.

8) the soul reaper can see the unsent messages by choice. he can choose to ignore them or read them.

okay, let me explain the deaths of each character~

JIMIN

in chapter 13, he left a cryptic message after jungkook left the private chat. that was actually a small teaser of jimin's backstory + the weird relationship that he has with jungkook.

in chapter 14,  jungkook chose jimin in LIE.
instead of dying, jimin's existence was wiped from the world. his case (of escaping death via the game) was extremely rare ; he was very lucky.

jimin needed an identity for assurance so he found v's house (aka taehyung's) and took his identity. he took over v's account in the wings game for a short period and posed as taehyung after he killed him.

he started to taunt jungkook from then + surprised him at his front door just to kill him. reason? he's quite messed up.

only to drop dead just after he entered the house because jungkook didn't choose (aka didn't save) yoongi's first love which was taehyung.

BUT jimin took over his identity, making him kim taehyung. so in a way, he was killed by jungkook (via the game) because he was no longer park jimin.

p.s: jungkook was the only one who remembered him because he was the one who chose jimin.

TAEHYUNG

taehyung is dead as a doornail.

as mentioned before, he was bashed (on the head) to death by park jimin.

in this story, taehyung likes to lie. he lied once about his death count being 200 when it was actually more than that. that was how he became a soul reaper before jungkook joined the game.

he actually lied another time of not receiving the soul reaper email when he actually did. this was not written in the story due to special reasons.

in chapter 19 , jimin (as v) mentioned that his count was 901 in the chatroom. if you look back at chapter 18, you would have seen taehyung completing his 900th task.

that extra 1 is actually taehyung.

jimin literally hinted that he was dead. thus, making the count 900 to 901.

YOONGI

he stood on the train tracks and got hit by a train.

yoongi thought that he was responsible for taehyung's death. he couldn't live with the guilt because he loved him so much.

but how did he find out?

jungkook — namjoon — hoseok — yoongi

this is the order of how the lie (yoongi killing taehyung) was passed on.

jungkook had no intention of telling yoongi the lie. so when jungkook told namjoon as a 'joke' in chapter 25, he thought that the older wouldn't tell anyone.

but he did. namjoon told hoseok because he trusted him.

if you might not have noticed, hoseok has an unknown underlying hate for yoongi. by telling him the lie, hoseok knew that yoongi would end up distressed.

yoongi was never chosen by anyone via the game. he, himself, decided to take his own life.

NAMJOON

namjoon is a very reserved + secretive character. so in chapter 25, he could tell that jungkook was hiding something from him because he, too, had a lot of secrets.

in chapter 27, you might have saw namjoon's sin as one of the choices for REFLECTION.

namjoon loved seokjin but he was engaged to his cousin. jealously took over namjoon and he used the game to damn his own cousin to hell.

note: namjoon didn't play the game before he introduced the game to her.

right after her death, seokjin found out about the game + started to play so namjoon followed suit. he wanted to make sure that seokjin was safe.

and yes, jungkook chose him in the game.

in chapter 27, he was killed by two cars simultaneously crashing into each other, sandwiching him in the process.

what jungkook witnessed outside of his bedroom window, was his death.

HOSEOK

in this story, he likes to cause trouble + bears a lot of grudges against yoongi despite his cheerful persona online.

in chapter 26, namjoon revealed that hoseok was the one who told yoongi about killing his love, taehyung.

why would he do that? the real reason is that there is a very complicated relationship when it comes to yoongi - taehyung - hoseok.

in chapter 31, you would have noticed the bolded words, v is gone. that was a hint to their relationship with each other. hoseok became distraught once he noticed that v was gone from the game.

as the story progresses, hoseok noticed that the members were disappearing one by one + jungkook being shady + his account was glitching out every now and then (courtesy of the soul reaper)

he wanted to expose jungkook for who he was but he couldn't.

jungkook chose him via the game, to be eaten by a pack of wolves.

he did not know that hoseok was j-hope at first. but he learned about it afterwards.

SEOKJIN

i initially wanted him to be the sole survivor or unknown but i thought that would be too generic.

so i decided to kill him off.

though you guys might get some hints of each of the character's backstory + how evil they are, jin didn't really have much clues.

just know that seokjin's story and namjoon's story are connected to each other.

the reason why he was made as a choice for the game is not revealed in this story. but at least you know that he did something terrible.

this time, jungkook didn't kill him but a cute kid named jeno did. i guess you all thought that jungkook was going to be the one ;)

seokjin was unsubconsciously being controlled by the game. he jumped off the bridge, right in front of jungkook.

the game has a weird way of making all of the deaths seem accidental (suicides, manslaughter, animal attacks etc.etc.)

his death was convenient as well as coincidental. it just so happened that jeno chose him at that exact moment.
