I woke up in a different room from my own - wait where am I? I felt a weight on me, and I noticed it was Lapis's head resting on my chest, fast asleep. I then remembered that I fell asleep here last night. I also remembered the kiss we shared, and I smiled to myself. The TV was still on, but it was some boring educational show that only played early in the morning. I struggled to reach into my pocket without waking Lapis, but I was eventually successful. I grabbed my phone and checked the time - 7:35 AM. 

Damn, I woke up early. I tried falling back asleep, but for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about last night - are we together, now? I really needed to know the answer, but I didn't know how to ask Lapis without sounding weird. I also remembered how Jasper came to the door randomly and planned on telling Lapis something. I feel like I might've ruined something. 

I ended up drifting in and out of sleep throughout the morning, and I finally fully woke up around 10:30 or so. When I was awake, I just took a few minutes to look at Lapis and how peaceful she looked when she was sleeping. Her eyes fluttered open, and she slowly looked at me with sleepy eyes. I quickly looked the other direction, pretending that I totally wasn't just staring at her in her sleep.

"Morning~" Lapis mutters, giving me a lazy smile and sitting up. She stood up off of the bed and stretched her arms up high, making an erotic grunt noise. I felt myself blush as I looked her up-and-down as she stretched. She must've noticed me checking her out, because she smirked at me and threw a pillow at my face. "Agh!" I groaned as I moved the soft cushion away from me. "Imma get ready, 'k?" Lapis says as she sleepily walks to her bathroom.

"I better go, I've got some work to do and I have to talk to someone about something important..." I mention as I could hear the sink faucet turn on. "A'ight! Mak' shu' you cose da f'on doh!" She shouted. "What?!" I heard her spit toothpaste out and she tried again. "Make sure to close the front door! On your way out!" she says again. "Oh okay! I'll probably come around again tonight, 'k?" I say, picking up my leather jacket off of the floor. "'K, see ya later, babe!" she yells, and closes the bathroom door. 

I walk out the front door, making sure to close the do--WAIT.BABE?! SHE CALLED ME BABE! DOES THAT MEAN SHE KNOWS WE'RE TOGETHER TOO?! I couldn't stop thinking about it as I walked down the hallway - until I ran into a wall. I decided to go to the work room and ask Jasper how she's doing. I walked into the room, and sure enough, Jasper was there with her friends at the poker table. 

I waved at her, and she spotted me. Her expression changed from cheerful to...disappointed? She rolled her eyes, and trudged over to me. "Hey, um, h-how's it going? We haven't talked in a wh--" "Fine. What do you want?" Jasper deadpanned. 

What's her deal? "I-I just noticed that you seemed a little down when you saw me, a-and I was wondering if I did something to upset you or--" "I dunno what you're talkin' about. I'm busy, and it looks we're done here. I'll see you around, Peridot." She said in a grumpy tone, and began to walk off. No.

"Hey. I'm talking to you. Come back here." I command harshly. She turned around, and gave me a scary sneer. "What. Is. It." Jasper hisses through her gritted teeth. Something that I never noticed before was how sharp her teeth were. Literally all of her teeth looked like canines, and I wondered if she had modifications done, or if her teeth were naturally that sharp. Either way they kind of frightened me.

"I know there's something wrong. And you're gonna tell me, Jasper." "Fine! You wanna know what's wrong?! It's you that's wrong with me!" Jasper growled, and I stepped back in astonishment. Me?! What did I do?!

"Here I thought we were friends and you could help me out for a change, but as soon as I tell you about Lapis you run to her and start comforting and being all buddy-buddy with her! Now she's picking favorites and I'm definitely not one of them, and that makes my life a hundred times worse!" Jasper cries, and I could see tears filling her eyes. Her eyes were also....a different color?! Her previously amber eyes were now a bright emerald-green. 

Is she wearing contacts? What's wrong with he--My thoughts were interrupted as she growled like a fucking lion and picked me up by the collar of my shirt. I was now terrified at her sudden hostile nature and I definitely knew that there was something way worse wrong with her than just jealousy. "You stay away from Lapis, or I'll fucking kill you! Got that?!" she shouted, and I could feel hundreds of pairs of eyes locked on us once again. 

"Jessie, chill!" I heard one of the Jaspers shout across the room, and Jasper turned around, still lifting me though. She then looked back at me, and dropped me. I almost lost my balance, but luckily caught myself in time. Her expression stayed angry, and she ran out of the room, breathing heavily. I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to soothe the burning sensation of the collar of my shirt chafing it. What the hell?!
