Doggie Bag
Jones sighed deeply. She was in the shower letting the cold water running over her hot body. The first actual shower she had had in God knows how long. Her long boney fingers ran over her body. Through her hair she ripped back her head and let the small droplets of water trickle down her face and over her shoulders.
She washed clean any traces of blood or grime that might have been left on her body. The water had ran black for the first few minutes of the shower till it ran clear once again.
Outside at the bar Gemma was standing there with Clay and Chibs. Juice was on his computer at one of the tables. Jax had just walked inside after coming back from the garage.
"You wanna tell me why one of the girls from the illegal fighting ring we just busted is in one of the rooms taking a shower?"
Jax questioned aloud wanting to be filled in with what the hell was going on around here.
"She needed some help."
Chibs said speaking up looking at the man. Jax raised a brow and looked at Chibs baffled.
"I dunno about you, but I clearly remember watching her bashing some poor kid's face into the ground. She's doesn't need help."
"Wait, she was what?"
Gemma spoke up. She had seen the girl that Chibs brought into the club house. She didn't like the way she looked and had assumed she was some type of junkie till Chibs had told her that she was one of the girls they had rescued.
"Yeah, they were in the middle of a match and little miss muscles had just got finished killing a kid."
Clay said chiming in looking at his wife. Gemma placed a hand over her chest as she looked like she was going to be sick. It was hard to believe that the woman that Chibs had brought in - the woman that looked almost like a walking skeleton - had done that but then again she always learned to not judge what anyone is capable of doing.
"Look, she walked all the way from Lodi. What was I suppose ta do? I told her she could come back take a shower and get some grub in her stomach. Tha woman was locked up and forced ta fight for who knows how long."
Chibs said trying to explain what was going through his head when he had offered the girl a ride. He wasn't afraid that she'd hurt anyone else.
She seemed like the type that only did it if told. When she was upset at the ring for them busting the place and killing the man behind the fighting she had every chance to attack them then, but she didn't do it.
"Does she have a family? Anyone?"
Gemma questioned looking at Jax. The man shook his head.
"Said she had no where else to go, no family, nothing."
Gemma shook her head once slowly. She looked up at Clay wondering what he was going to have them do with the girl. Obviously this was trouble for SAMCRO having a girl with nothing to her name showing up at their doorstep.
It just didn't sit well with Gemma.
Jones came walking out of the backroom cleaned up now. When she came around the corner she caught the last of what was said about her being alone.
"Hey."
She greeted seeing everyone's eyes fall on her. Her clothes were still dirty, but she at least felt clean, probably looked better too.
"Hey darlin. Names Jax. I don't think we caught your name."
The blonde told her.
"Y'all can just call me Jones."
She told them.
"You from the south?"
The lady asked speaking up. Jones looked at her and gave a slight shrug.
"Kentucky area. That's where I was picked up."
"That's my mother Gemma. This is Clay, Chibs, Juice."
Jax said continuing the introduction. Jones nodded her head slowly as she slid up to the bar besides Chibs.
"Ya hungry?"
"I could eat."
Chibs nodded looking at Gemma as if silently asking if they had anything for her to eat. Gemma gave Chibs a look before she put her hands on her hips.
"Let me go see what we've got in the kitchen."
Jones watched as Gemma moved off into the kitchen. Jones took a moment to look around the clubhouse. She noticed that the skull that was on the back of their kuttes was all around the clubhouse. There was a stage off toward the front door and a stripper pole in the middle of the floor after the stage. There was furniture sitting around over by the pool table that was sitting beside some large double doors. Beside the doors to the right was pictures of different men.
"Those your club buddies?"
Jones asked looking back at the three guys that stood at the bar.
"Yeah, both current and past members."
Jax said walking over to Jones. He stood on the other side of her to her left. She looked at him as he looked at her.
"Look, darlin, nothing against you but, is there really no place we can take you?"
She looked at Jax. She understood this was his polite way of telling her that she needed to go. She looked over at Chibs beside her and seen her was watching her closely with a lowered gaze.
"Y'all busted the only place I had. I know it sounds fucked up, but I was there for two years. It kinda became the only home I had left."
She told them. Clay stood off to the side listening. She had to have been majorly fucked up to believe that that he'll pit was considered her home.
"It's fine though. Thanks for the shower and the hospitality."
She said sliding down off her stool. She adjusted her shorts and looked at Jax.
"It'll get out of your hair."
She told them. Jax had opened his mouth to speak up shut it once Jones's back was to him. He watched her walking away before he turned and looked at Chibs. He raised a brow seeing the odd look Chibs was giving him.
He didn't ask though. Chibs heard the door shut right as soon as Gemma came out of the kitchen. She looked around confused with a plate of food. It was a sandwich and some chips, but it was at least something.
"Did she just leave?"
She questioned walking over putting the plate down on the bar.
"Aye, Jackie boy ran her off."
"Me? I was going to let her at least eat."
Jax said looking at the glare his mother was giving him. Clay chuckled and shook his head.
"Should have made it a doggy bag."
Clay joked causing Gemma to scoff. She didn't find anything funny about an anorexic girl walking around the streets, hungry, and with no where to go.
"Chibs, I'm going to bag this up. Catch up with her and give it to her."
Gemma said taking the plate and walking back into the kitchen.
"Seriously?"
Clay asked looking at his wife confused. Gemma stopped and looked up at him.
"Call it my good deed for the day."
She said as she disappeared into the kitchen only to come back out with a brow baggie that had Jones's food inside.
"Make sure it gets to her Chibby. I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing that a starving woman is walking the streets with no where to go."
Gemma said with a slight serious tone to her voice. Chibs nodded. Taking the bag in hand Gemma gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Alright ma."
He said before heading for the door. Doggie bag in hand.
