Chapter 10. Clenched Tight

Rain spattered off the brick building, hitting me in the face as I ran to the front entrance of my apartment. The dark hallway tilted a tan with the red carpet dirty to the traffic. Caution tape on the elevator doors fell, showing its broken age.

My wet shoe barely touched the tape, sticking to the bottom and tripping me onto the stairs. I yanked at the plastic, throwing it, but it kept hooked to my foot.

"The evil caution tape got you, too," Alice's voice said above me.

I glanced over my shoulder, straightening my back while sitting on the wet step. "Yeah, when is the old bastard gonna fix the elevator?"

Alice walked down the steps, crouching next to me. She pulled the rest of the tape off my foot, then stood, stepping off the last tread. Her face dropped nervously, leaning against the wall. She fidgeted with her fingers, pulling at the skin around her nails.

I raked down her body, seeing her fancy dress. Her pulled-back hair showed off her round face with makeup lightly placed. Alice was leaving for her blind date. Her black dress dipped low in the front, showing off her assets.

"Where are you meeting him?" I asked her, standing and leaning against the handrail.

"He said the new place on Main Ave." She looked at her phone. "You know, the one with the-"

"Weird outdoor seating," we said at the same time.

I remembered Roy complaining about this restaurant when they were building it. He said it made traffic in that area crazy when he headed to work. Now I know he never had work and lied to me about everything.

Anger built inside, feeling the demon take over. I glanced down, knowing Alice didn't want to see the nightmare inside of my soul.

"I better get going," she said. "He said he had a surprise for me."

"Okay." I kept my eyes down. "Have a good time," I said, waving and running up the steps.

I opened into my apartment quietly, thinking about Koa. I smiled at the ceiling, laying my back against the wooden door as I closed it. The silence of the dark apartment caught my attention. I glanced around to see a tiny light beaming at the corner.

I strolled over, seeing Dieter asleep on a makeshift desk with paperwork scattered on the floor. Bending, I picked up some of his files and set them on the desk. The lamp flickered before the crash of lightning sounded around us. A bright light entered from the open window to the fire escape, then back to a dark room with a tan light.

Dieter's glasses fell off, placed next to his face. I leaned closer to see his mouth slightly prompt open. His calm breath let out a huff while his closed eyes did the rapid movement. There was a small liquid spot on the paper he was sleeping on.

My fingers brushed his brown hair from his forehead. "Dieter," I whispered.

He opened his eyes quickly, placing his rough hand on my throat and standing up. His hand squeezed my neck, lifting me slightly.

My fingers wrapped around his hand, trying to pull it from the choke. Dieter's eyes widened as he set me back on the floor. His hand stayed on my throat, but loosened. His breath slowed down while his eyes glanced at my lips.

In a whirlwind, Dieter forced his lips to mine. His fingers pushed into the side of my neck while his other hand balled into my hair. He yanked my head back by my strands, pausing. My lips were wet. I breathed out, hoping to taste more of him.

The pit in my core swelled with desire, causing me to smirk at him. With one facial expression, he collided his lips with mine again. His tongue broke through my lips, making me claw my fingers into his shirt. Cutting it like a knife, I ripped his shirt off. The material balled into my hand before I threw it to the ground.

His hand slowly removed from my throat, grabbing my shirt's collar. Dieter's eyes narrowed with a smirk. He ripped my shirt down the center, exposing my bra and bare skin. He didn't slow down, placing his lips on my skin. My icy fingers brushed his warm chest, lingering lower for them to play with his boxers.

Two men in one night, what can I say? I needed arousal, not love. I wanted a man to make me scream into the pillow from pain and pleasure. A man to spread my legs until my muscles hurt. To walk the morning of shame with pride, smiling at the thought that my sins would send me to Hell.

Goosebumps danced down my arms while Dieter removed the rest of the material of my shirt. It floated to the wood floor as his firm hands cupped my boobs. He squeezed hard, curling his fingers around the pads, breaking the seam connecting them.

My small boobs bounced slightly from the force. Right now was not the first time Dieter had seen my naked body, but this was the first time he sexualized it. I could see in his eyes that he begged for this moment. Dieter wanted to step over the line of the sexual tension between us.

A drop of sweat trailed down from his neck, centering on the little hairs he had on his chest. His jaw clenched tight while he sucked in a deep breath, balling his hands. His veins ran down his arm, popping out the muscles on his forearm.

I jumped at him, wrapping my legs around his waist. His lips went straight to my nipples, causing me to arch my neck back with my core wanting more. His touch was hard, sucking while circling his tongue.

"More!" I screamed. "I need more!"

Dieter walked us to the couch, throwing me roughly with zero care. He jumped on me, grabbed my arms, and placed them above my head. He kept his hand with mine, locking my arms above my head while the other played with my breast.

He kissed my neck, biting hard before moving to my lips. Dieter violently molded his jaw against mine. His moan echoed into my mouth, fueling my inner demon to want him more.

Dieter lowered, placing his face between my boobs. I moved my hands into his hair, causing him to grab my palms to place them above my head again. He winked with a smile, then bit my bottom lip before returning to my chest.

His tongue slightly touched my skin with every kiss, trailing lower and lower until he reached my hips. Dieter's fingers engaged with my buttons, removing my denim pants. Playing with my red lace underwear with his teeth, he glanced up with desire.

Removing his lips from my skin, he leaned up. Dieter crawled over the back end of the couch, falling onto the floor. I sat up, confused, looking over the cushion at him.

He pointed to the bedroom. "Condom," he said, rushing away.

I wrapped my arms around the throw pillow, looking at his desk. The lamp lit up a picture clipped to a file. Squinting, I walked over, seeing it was a photo of me on the metal table.

I grabbed the folder and opened it. Inside was information about another woman, her missing person's report, and a picture of an arm. I glanced down at my skin, seeing a freckle matching hers.

I flipped to the next page. Another missing woman with her blue eyes pronounced. They were my new eyes.

Scanning, I dramatically ripped through each page, seeing all the women my body was constructive with. I threw the folder down quickly, looking at the other paperwork on his desk.

Missing.

Missing.

Another woman was missing in Seattle.

The same women Roy victimized. In shock, I turned around to see Dieter on his phone. He read from a text. "A friend spotted Roy tonight on a vate vith a young woman."

Dieter looked up to see me in shock. He scanned my hand and saw me holding his papers.

"What the fuck, Dieter!" I yelled at him. "I am made of all the women that Roy killed!" Throwing the papers at him, he ducked as the file flew past his face.

He stepped closer with his hands in the air. "Ves, but not all the women," he said, not helping himself.

"What?" I whined, feeling betrayed. "Have you been working with him this full time?" I rushed next to the couch, putting my pants back on.

"No," he replied. "Vi don't vork with that evil man."

I stepped back, shaking my head. "Why?" My eyes glanced around until I saw my bra. I reached for it at the same time he did. Dieter grabbed it from the ground, handing the lace material to me.

"I needed to vet back at Patrick Bole." Dieter stood expressionless.

"All this was for getting back at a man that stole something from you?" I asked. "I'm not dumb. You invented the cure for heart disease, and he took it from you."

Dieter glared at me. "This isn't vust about revenge."

I rolled my eyes at him, not wanting to believe a word coming out of his mouth. "This is petty bullshit, and you dragged me into it!"

"I vm a scientist," he replied. "Yes, vy work is unconditional, vut I did nothing wrong vo the women or you," he replied with his volume higher. "I only used the resources that vell into my lap."

"Resources?" I questioned.

"Vou know what I mean!" he yelled in frustration.

"No, I don't, asshole. Why don't you explain why you worked with the man who killed me?" I was furious, still thinking he worked with Roy this full time.

"I didn't lie to vou," he replied. "I found him villing vou and scared him off."

"And why didn't you just turn him in?" I asked back. "Why didn't you stop there?"

"I've already told vou. I am not a good guy." He threw his hands in the air. "When your vody fell into my hands. Everything lined up perfectly."

I paused, stunned by everything.

He stepped closer. "I vaw Roy when he ran off, so I knew it was him villing the woman, and it wasn't hard to figure out vhere he disposed of the bodies."

"So you just used the other woman's body parts and left that big detail out?" I asked.

He shrugged his shoulders. "Yes." His expression dropped. "I vollowed him for a couple of days and-" He brought his hands in the air, telling me, oh well.

"Oh my fucking hell, Dieter!" I yelled, feeling myself become the monster. "You aren't any better than him!" I stepped closer. "I should kill you."

Dieter stepped back. "I know," he replied. "It's vot like I didn't warn you."

Dieter may be a bad guy, but he was not the man I wanted to kill. Roy will forever be the one that could fix my blood thirst.

"Where is he?" I asked Dieter.

He looked at his phone, then back at me. "Vy intel said at that vew restaurant."

Alice's voice echoed in my head. "He said he had a surprise for me," she said, hearing Roy's voice as well. "I have a surprise for you." Flashbacks of my conversion with Alice flooded my brain. She was on a blind date with Roy.

I rushed toward the door, grabbing my coat to cover up. "Don't follow me," I said to Dieter, seeing my red mask on the side table. I interlocked my disguise with my fingers, determined to save someone tonight.

I sprinted down the steps, skipping every other one. I needed to get to Alice before Roy killed her.
