Chapter 14

Chapter 14 - Escaping

"O-Ouch." She grunted under her breath as she tried to move her body.

The pain was shooting all over her system, especially at the back. She couldn't move an inch as this discomfort feeling will just continue to grow. She doesn't remember anything. Her mind couldn't think straight right now.

But all she knows is that the moment she woke up, she already recognized where she was. It was the ceiling of Izuku's bedroom. She smiled with relief and she doesn't know why.

What happened?

"Dolly!" The guy called her.

Her head moved to his direction and saw Izuku sitting down on a stool next to her. She was more than glad to see him in her sight.

The green-haired guy smiled at her as he gently caressed her cheeks with his hands, happy to finally see her awake.

"W-What happened?" She asked him weakly.

Izuku responded, holding her hand. "I brought you to the hospital to let you get recovered, after that, I brought you back here."

She looked at him, confused. "I was in the hospital? But why?"

As her mind is slowly regaining proper conscious, it started recalling everything of what happened. When she remembered the incident about happened to her which was involved with Izuku's rival, Kacchan, her eyes soon widened horrifyingly. It gave her goosebumps and her heart began beating fast with fear.

It became a new trauma for her because that time was painful for her to handle. It was too much, she began screaming in the room, setting her hands on the side of her head, making it worst. Izuku immediately stood up with worry and tried to calm her down.

Ochako kept screaming and it soon turned into cries. Her sobbing was too awful for him to listen to. His heart was throbbing seeing Ochako reacted after all that suffering. He wished he did not let her experience these things. If only, he was there for her.

"It's okay, Ochako. Please stop." He said to her, hugging her tightly into his arms.

Ochako kept on crying but it gotten softer and calmer. The warm feeling she's getting from Izuku with his comforting hug made her feel much better. As her painful cries lowered down, she stopped and looked up at Izuku.

The guy looked down at her when he noticed her crying had stopped. He smiled and asked. "You okay now?"

Ochako looked at him intently with her swollen and heartfelt eyes. She seemed to looked a lot more relieved just seeing Izuku right infront of her. She nodded with a sad look as she looked down on the sheet on the bed.

She just needed Izuku next to her.

Izuku still felt so bad. Ever since Ochako came to his life, all she has been experiencing are all these tortures and sufferings from him. He really didn't intend to do that anymore. He cared about her. He really did.

"W-Why am I here? Wasn't I supposed to stay at the hospital? How long was I unconscious?" She asked him a lot of questions that still made her unsure of what's happening.

Izuku kept quiet for awhile, trying to process what happened before telling her everything. After that, he sat down on the stool again and started talking.

"Listen to me." He said.

"After you got shot, I brought you to the hospital. Unfortunately, the situation was too serious, I didn't have the time to remove the traces Kacchan left so the police managed to find it first. Kacchan was too careless. We, criminals, aren't supposed to expose our crimes to anyone before we are known and caught." He told her as he continued.

"That's why, after the surgery, I had to let us escape from the hospital to hide from the police. Ochako, I can't let them know any more information about us. Right now, we are in a lot of trouble and I mustn't be known. We must get out of this place."

Ochako flinched a bit when he said the last part. She asked him with hesitation. "G-Get out of this place?"

Before Izuku answered her question, he sighed as he reached his hand to hers and held onto it gently. Ochako looked at his hand and averted back to his gaze. She saw the serious look on his face.

"Ochako." He called her with sincerity. "Will you get out of this place with me? I want you to stay by my side as I escaped from here. I never knew there would be someone that I can't live without them. Please, Ochako, will you stay with me?"

The brunette looked at him with sad eyes. Her heart was beating a lot faster and it gave her butterflies in her stomach. He wanted her to stay by his side? It made her feel completely delighted. Her eyes began to tear up a bit as she smiled slowly with her plum lips.

Izuku talked again. "We could live in a better house! I can take you back to another school and let you finish your studies first. Or I can already work for the both of us while you can just stay at home and just make those great meals you always made for me. If you ever feel lonely, maybe we can get a pet! We can start a new life together! Just please... stay with me?"

Ochako's heart was squeezed. It made her cheeks brightened up red as she chuckled a bit from his proposal. Izuku noticed she suddenly got all giggly as a smile beamed through his lips. "D-Do you like the idea?"

She saw Izuku's embarrassed look when he said all those. Even caught a hint of blush colouring his cheeks. She gave him a heart-felt smile and nodded at him.

"I would love that."

The answer made Izuku overjoyed, he got all excited that he jumped from his stool and gave her a big hug. "Yes!"

Ochako got startled by the sudden hug, as she stared into the space, feeling Izuku hugging her tightly. She wasn't crying anymore but why was he hugging her so tightly as if he was so happy that she agreed with him. Why was he so happy?

Was he that happy that she was going to stay by his side? What does he think of her as? Someone special?

She wished.

It felt like that.

As the guy let go of the hug, he looked at her. "C-Can we leave tomorrow? Or do you need time to recover?"

Ochako saw the concern and consideration in his eyes when he asked that, making sure she was really okay or not. She gave him a smile and nodded. "Don't worry, I'll be okay. We can leave tomorrow."

Izuku stared at her with a more concern look. "You sure? Can you still feel the severe pain at your back? You sure you can move?"

"Yes, I can." She giggled at bit, seeing his worried look. She find it cute, honestly.

He then sighed in relief and smiled back. "If you can't move tomorrow, I have to let you rest first, okay?"

Ochako chuckled. "Okay."

The green-haired guy stared at her and gave a hesitant expression. Ochako seemed confused but soon widened her eyes when he saw him getting closer to her face. Her face turned red as her cheeks blushed tint red colour. "I-Izuku."

Izuku stopped his actions, and reached to his pocket to grab something. He took out and gave it to her. "Here's your phone." He smiled at her. "I already added my phone number in here, so if you need me, call me immediately, alright?"

Ochako couldn't believe what she's seeing. Her very first smartphone. "I-Izuku? W-Why?" She kept staring at the phone. He was handing it to her. This is really her phone. "Y-You sure?"

He smiled at her. "Of course, I bought it for you. It's yours."

Ochako felt so thankful as she took it from his hands. Her eyes began to get teary again as she stared at her brand new phone. It was so pretty and she loved it a lot. But he didn't have to. No words can describe how grateful she is whenever someone gives her something.

"Please, I'll pay you back."

Izuku halted her and held her hands that were holding onto the phone. "It's my gift for you. No need."

Ochako stared at his eyes for a while. She smiled brightly. "Thank you, Izuku."

The guy saw her smile and his heart skipped a bit again, as a blush came across his cheeks. "J-Just keep smiling like that." He mumbled.

"Huh?" She asked him, unable to catch what he said.

Izuku stood up right after that. "N-Nothing. Since we might be leaving tomorrow, I have to resign my job as a mailman."

"Y-You're quitting?"

"Don't worry, that place is just me living a normal life and hiding my identity at all cost."

She then gave a confused look. "Hiding your identity?"

The guy got startled and smiled at her. "Never mind, my bad. I have to go now."

Ochako hopped forward a bit, surprised. "Wait. Y-You're leaving now?"

She doesn't want that. She's so scared that Izuku isn't next to her anymore. She needs him with her all the time. She doesn't want herself getting tortured again and maybe this time, he might not be there. She just can't help but not want to be alone.

"It's okay, Dolly, I will send someone here to look after you." He told her. "You will know him once you see him. I'll be back really soon, don't worry, you can trust him."

She was still hesitating to agree with him to leave her as she nodded at him. "O-Okay. Please come back soon."

Izuku chuckled at her from the bedroom door. "You too. Don't worry about me. Bye."

Ochako felt a bit hesitant once again, she can't help it, but she inhaled deeply and breathed properly. She nodded at him and smiled. "Goodbye."

The guy smiled one last time at her before he went downstairs. He then went outside of the door. After he did, he stood outside instead and stayed there. He took out his phone and started texting someone. He muttered to himself. "Where is that guy?"

After a couple of minutes of waiting, the guy, Izuku has been waiting for, showed up. "Finally."

"Sorry! I was busy doing something for a while with Mina-san." The red-headed guy, Kirishima, told to Izuku running to him.

"Geez, I knew it had to be between you two. I had to wait for a long time for your ass. She's in the bedroom. Make sure to keep her safe no matter what and don't do anything weird with her. Just stay there and let her eat and sleep. Otherwise, I'll really kill you." He threatened him by saying all these.

Kirishima gulped but then laughed it off after that. "I promise, buddy! I won't let a single finger lay on her. I'll protect her with all my life." He gave him a salute pose.

"You better." He said. "I'm off now. I'll be back in a couple of minutes."

"Alright. Have a safe trip!" He said as he watched Izuku drove off.

Kirishima then opened the front door and saw the place. "Hello?" He said in the living room as he closed the door behind him.

"I think the bedroom is upstairs." Kirishima said to himself. He then made his way up the stairs and saw one door opened slightly from afar. "Maybe she's in here."

When he arrived to the door, he knocked first. "Hello?"

Ochako jolted from her position when she heard an unfamiliar voice at the door. She dropped her phone, when she was using it, on the bed. She grabbed the blanket quickly as she covered herself, besides her eyes, and saw the person coming. Her body was trembling a bit with fear.

"Oh! Hey, Ochako!" The guy smiled at her but didn't enter yet, seeing how scared she looked when she saw him.

Ochako stared at him, still frightened but soon looked at his face intently, seeing how familiar he looked. She spoke. "I-I'm sorry. Have we met?"

Kirishima smiled and said, happily. "Yeah! We met at the game last time. I was Red Riot!"

She gazed him, confused. "H-How do you know my name?"

"Oh! Deku and I are really close! My real name is Kirishima Eijirou! We haven't met properly, but nice to meet you!" Kirishima grinned at her, sweetly.

Ochako set the blanket down, slowly, still hesitant. But the smile he gave made her feel more comfortable. "H-Hello."

"May I sit next you?" He looked over to the stool.

She gave off a shy look but nodded slowly at him. "S-Sure."

Kirishima gladly sat next to Ochako on the stool next to her. "So how are you feeling?"

"I-I'm feeling better, I guess."

He chuckled. "Yeah, that guy was crazy enough to escape the hospital when he carried you. He had to jump off the window and it wasn't easy, you know! But luckily, he got away before the police found you guys."

Ochako listened to him. He seemed awfully friendly, especially, for a guy who is a criminal. His tone, his looks and his attitude were so kind and not someone who doesn't do bad things.

"Man, if I wasn't there in time at the apartment where you guys were, you and Izuku would be in big trouble!" He said.

"You two lovebirds better be careful next time!" He also added.

Ochako blushed at what he said. "N-No, we're not dating!"

Kirishima gave off a confused look but then smirked after that. "Oh, I see... You guys are keeping it a secret from us, right?"

"I-It's not like that..."

Kirishima laughed after that. "Come on, don't have to lie. You guys were partners and he even done so much for you! Haven't seen that side of Izuku before. You must be someone really special."

He started teasing the brunette about her and Izuku.

This guy doesn't look like a harm. And he helped us? Why is he so kind? Why would he do that?

"U-Uhm... Kishiri?"

He laughed a bit. "It's Kirishima."

She gulped. "K-Kirishima, w-what did you do that made you into a criminal?"

"Oh! You wanna know my story?" He smiled at her, sweetly, happy that someone is interested with his life. He doesn't care who and what the person is. He was very open-minded and can share a lot of things to people about himself. He just likes to talk a lot.

Ochako nodded at him, wanting to know.

He then began his life story.

"Well, you see, I was the only child in the family. But, the thing is, they never supported me and my family isn't so much of a great, happy one. They let me stop schooling when I was 13 because I was failing too much and they didn't have the money to let me study. They're both drug addicts and they never got married. And when I was still a toddler, they were still young as well so all they did was have sex together at home." He continued.

"I knew I was an accident to them and I shouldn't have exist because they did it so carelessly. They abused and never let me eat for several days. My mom was a prostitute and my dad was selling drugs. I was like an animal in the house to them. My dad was even okay with my mom's job." He chuckled.

Ochako listened to him and it was just awful to hear from him. She was so intrigued with his story and the face he's making didn't look miserable. His face looked like he was talking about a fairy tale. It didn't bother him at all even how bad it sounds.

He proceeded. "One time, when I was 18, my parents were fighting and I was just in the basement, suffering inside, waiting for them to give me their leftovers. I could hear them screaming and shouting up there so I decided to go up there. I wasn't allowed to go up unless I'm told to, because if I did, they would be mad and let me starve to death. But I went up anyways, to see. But my dad was so mad, the moment he saw me, made him even more furious that he screamed at my face."

Ochako saw him, looking down with a smile on his face. She gulped and asked. "What did he say to you?"

The guy stayed silent for a while and sighed.

"They ran out of money. My mom was getting old for her job that no one wants to take her in anymore. So my dad shouted at me and said that he needed to kill me."

The brunette gasped and covered her mouth with her horrified eyes looking at him.

"He wanted to sell my organs. That ugly, no good bastard. My mom agreed with him and the both of them tried to kill me on the spot. I was helpless, scared and I didn't know what to do. My dad was holding me while my mom was holding the knife, ready to stab me. I screamed and screamed, begging them to stop."

Kirishima paused and began smiling all of a sudden. Ochako was confused but saw him got all happy afterwards.

"But then, my mom's body was froze and she stopped moving as if something paralyzed her. When her body fell down, a person was behind her. He said..."

I don't know what's happening here, but I'll be taking this woman

"...with a smile on his face."

"And it was him, Deku. I heard from him that he takes women and murders them. He was going to take my mom away but then my dad tried to grab him but Deku killed him by stabbing him with the knife that my mom was holding. I didn't know he did it. I thought I found him amazing and he saved my life right there. When he saw me, after killing my parents, he didn't try to take my life as well but just left with my mom. I never felt so thankful for him saving my life."

He then said. "I stayed in the house, not knowing what to do but just see my dead father on the floor. After the next day, a woman came inside the room. And that's when I met her..."

"Are you the son who was about to killed by his parents?" The girl asked Kirishima who was sitting on the corner.

The black-haired guy was staring at the beautiful woman infront of his eyes. He was completely stunned by her pretty looks. He immediately nodded with an intrigued look for her.

"H-How did you know?" He asked.

The woman chuckled. "The guy from last night told me. I'm here to remove his traces he did to your dad. His name is Deku, by the way."

Kirishima was really mesmerized by her. His cheeks soon burned red. The woman laughed when she saw his obvious reactions. She thought it was cute.

"Aren't you afraid of what happened? You're infront of a dead person. That doesn't scare you at all?" She asked him.

The guy stood up and looked over to his dad's dead body. He said without any hesitation. "No, I'm actually glad he killed him."

He then gave off a smile after that.

The woman widened her eyes with surprise with his response. She was so shock that she found someone who is one of a kind. She immediately had an interest for him.

She smiled. "What's your name?"

The black-haired gazed back at her. "Hm?" He then gave her a smile back. "I'm Kirishima Eijirou."

"I'm Ashido Mina." She told him. "I'm surprised your parents gave you a name."

He chuckled. "I'm surprise myself as well."

That comment made Mina laughed. She blushed a bit as he stared at him, looking at his dead father. "Are you currently busy with something in your life or something?"

"What do you mean?" He asked her.

"Well, if you aren't doing anything at the moment, maybe, you can come with me." She said to him.

His eyes widened as they sparkled. "Really? What are we gonna do?"

"Something fun." She then went closer to him. So close, the gap between them was so small. It made Kirishima froze in his position as he blushed with the distance between their faces. She spoke softly. "Something like this."

She then pointed at Kirishima's father's dead body. Kirishima gulped with sweat forming in his head. The malicious eyes she's giving to him, he sees the eyes of the person that has seen something far more worst than this. it gave him chills.

But he liked it.

He liked her.

He gave off a smile. "It does sound fun."

She chuckled at him, still finding his responses very amusing. "I can't believe you're giving me these answers even though your parents are killed. You're truly an insane maniac."

The girl wrapped her arms around his neck. She said after that. "But I like you."

"That's when I met the love of my life." Kirishima ended the story with a great smile on his face as if there were sparkles around him.

"That's when I knew Mina and Deku were close! So I get to see him a few times. I owe him a lot for saving my life so that's why, everytime he asks for a favour from me, I'm always here to help him." He added after that.

That explains everything.

"S-So have you ever killed anyone?" Ochako asked him.

Kirishima hummed. "Hmm... Mina is usually the one that does the killing and I was just there to help her and is just there watching her kill people. I really find that entertaining. It's making me remember the time where my parents were killed, I like it." He told her.

Ochako gulped and she looked down, timidly. Kirishima noticed it. "What's wrong?" He asked her with concern.

She just showed him a down look. She looked depressed. The girl answered back. "You hated your parents. But I loved mine. They were also killed, and I actually missed them so much."

Kirishima gave off a guilty look. "I-I'm sorry to hear that."

The room soon became quiet as the atmosphere began to feel awkward. Ochako noticed what she said and immediately snapped back to her senses.

She then soon flinched and started waving her hands at him. "N-No! I'm sorry! I'm okay!" She said to him.

She tried to come up with a random question. "H-H-How long have you and Izuku known each other?" She panicked.

He smiled after that. "We've known each other for almost... 4 years!"

But as soon as he told her, his face changed. He gazed at her with a very puzzled look. Ochako did the same, wondering why he was acting like that. He then asked.

"Izuku?" He said the name she mentioned.

Ochako was surprised that she covered her mouth with her hands. "Oh no..."

She wasn't supposed to expose his name.

But then the response he gave her was more shocking. "No way..." He said. "He's like the closest to you right now but he only let you know his mailman name?"

Her eyes soon turned horrified, shock with his answer. "M-Mailman name?"

"Damn that Deku, gave Ochako his mailman name?" He started laughing.

She asked him, immediately, feeling scared. "What do you mean?"

The guy stopped and faced at her. He cleared his throat to speak properly. "Midoriya Izuku was the name he gave you, right?"

Ochako paused for awhile, and nodded unsurely, why he was asking that. "Y-Yeah."

He then answered. "That's his mailman name."

Ochako's eyes soon were in total despair and disbelief when he said the next words. She still couldn't believe he said that. This is something she never thought was true. What he said was unbelievable .

He told her.

"Midoriya Izuku isn't his real name."
