Yumiko's POV

Guess who got invited to Bruce Wayne's Charity Ball? Me! And, it says here that dad's gonna be there too, oh joy...

My tail instantly slapped the person who's trying to wrapped their arms around me as I turned around, "Whoa, that's some feisty tail you got there, babe" he spoke with a smirk as he gently caressed his chin, "Sorry, surprised since dad invited me to the Charity Ball that Bruce hosted, they're getting along~" I purred as he chuckled on my shoulder, "Well, their son and daughter are together, they can't make a war about that now can they?" he spoke as I nodded. 

"And knowing this invitation got here, meaning dad wants me to help him with the ball" I got up as I looked at Jason, who's had his fingers wrapped around my wrist. "Will I see you again?" he gave a charming smile as I smiled, I ran my fingers through his blazing red hair before chuckling. "You really need to dye it again" I said as he pouted. 

He knew I loved his red hair, but his black hair looked charming too. "Alright, but be careful okay?" he spoke as I nodded, he released his grip as I summoned my scythe and opened a portal to my room back at the Dimension World. 

The portal closed behind me as I looked around, the exterior didn't change. I opened the door and the castle was busy as the maids and butlers quickly greeted me as they passed by with food and other beautiful decorations. I jumped down and landed right in front of throne, causing mother to yelped before engulfing me in an embrace. I missed her the most, actually. 

"I missed you my little moon" she muttered before grabbing my shoulders as her rainbow orbs stared into my ombre ones, "Tell me everything about Jason, how is he?" I chuckled before looking around, "How about you look at him yourself at the ball?" she sighed before nodding. 

"Go on, your father's been gloomy ever since you left his torture chamber" I rolled my eyes as I walked towards the meeting room, as I lightly pushed the door I saw that he was looking at me with those shining odd orbs. "You're alive!!" he shouted before picking me up and circling around. Honestly, I hate being thrown around like a child but I make exceptions when it comes to family. 

"So, what do you need help with?" I asked as he placed me down, "At this ball, the mortals will be in more danger as two billionaires were present, A.K.A. me and Bruce...so..." he turned to me, "You wanted me as a guard?" I lifted an eyebrow as I crossed my arms on my chest, "No, remember when Jason was the Arkham Knight?" he spoke as I tilted my head before nodding. 

"Do you think his militias are still in contact with him?" I shrugged my shoulders as he sighed, "I wanted to place our guards there but they are disguised as some wealthy brats to guard some other mortals" I hummed as to know where this is going. 

"Can you uh-" "Ask him if his militias would still work for him?" I cut him off as he nodded, "After the feast, I already prepare another feast as a thank you gift for them" father spoke as I turned around and opened the door, "And father?" he hummed as I was about to close the door, "I know that you gave up cause of me~" I teased as I heard him gasped before closing the door and contacting Jason. 

After some explanation he happily agreed before I turned around, to see Duchess, a princess from another dimension that frequently came here just to make Hydra her husband, but was turned down, everytime...

"Who was that? He looked much cuter than Hydra" she hummed as I gagged in mind about her looks. Literally, the damn woman wore a pink and white puffy princess dress that I swore would make everyone tripped cause of her. "And did you say ball? And I wasn't invited?!" she begun to shout as my ears dropped at the loud pitch. 

"Yumi-D-duchess?!" I turned to see Hydra with his face paled, I never seen a half-fox be that paled before.."Master Hydra!!" she shouted beside me before running towards poor Hydra. Wanna know how she got into this dimension? Easy..

Her mother was a former maid of this castle as have the privileged to come and go here if her help was wanted here, which rarely do. Her daughter somehow got the key and came here despite father's rage towards her as she was labeled a 'trespasser'. "Master Hydra, little Yumiko didn't invite me to the ball!!" she whined as she tugged on his sleeves. 

She called me little cause she thought I'm way younger than her, but she didn't knew I'm immortal...

"What was all that ruckus!!" father's voice literally shook the palace as the maids and butlers became pale as father walked out of his room, "Duchess, I told you too many times to not come here!" and that was probably the billionths time he spoke like that, but being the spoiled brat...she ignored it..

"Oh father, little Yumiko didn't invite me to the ball!" she shouted as both me and Hydra cringed at her unusually high-pitched voice. "You can come, but if you fuck this up, I will personally destroy your dimension!!" Duchess paled as father walked back towards his room. She didn't knew father couldn't do that, only I can but she was stupid..

Dragon came and quickly comforted Duchess while Hydra kept on shivering as her perfume was stuck on his coat, "So, when will be going together?" I spoke as I looked around to see Duchess was clinging towards Dragon, the damn lizard's already married...but she didn't believe it..

I thanked the gods that her portal only leads to this world and not any place else, she doesn't even have access to the room of Portals, A.K.A. my second room. 

"2 days from now, and here since that bitch will be following us.." Hydra spoke slowly as I nodded, I summoned the wind and boosted myself up to my room. I shut the door upon hearing Duchess ran back to her dimension before sliding down at the door, this is one messed up day..

But the thought didn't stop as I imagined Jason struggling to wear a tuxedo, it made a smile crept on my lips.
