"Cassidy." Elijah said, gaining her attention. "I have received a message from Rose. She has the Doppelgänger."

"Really?" Cassidy perked up, happily. "I thought that Kathrine was the last one."

"Apparently not. She wishes for hers and Trevor's freedom in return for the girl." Elijah informed the redhead.

"Then they shall have it." Cassidy declared. "We just have to stick to the plan. Inform Nik, and when we get there do not show off."

"I don't do that." Elijah scoffed at his younger sister.

"Mhm, whatever makes you feel better, Eli."

"What do you want?" Elena asked Trevor, scared.

"Shh." He shhed the girl.

"Please, I'm hurt." Elena pleaded.

"Just a taste." He's vamping and leans down to bite her wound but Rose arrives and he stops.

"Trevor! Control yourself."

"Buzzkill." He mumbled before leaving.

"What do you want with me?" Elena asked, like rose would actually tell her that.

"Oh my god, you look just like her." Rose stared at the girl in disbelief cuz she looked exactly like Kathrine.

"But I'm not. Please, whatever you-"

Rose cut her off. "Be quiet!"

"But I'm not Katherine. My name is Elena Gilbert; you don't have to do this." Elena tried to reason with the vampire.

"I know who you are, I said be quiet." Rose rolled her eyes.

"What do you want?"

Rose slaps her hard. Elena falls on the couch, unconscious.

"I want you to be quiet."

"How's the girl?" Rose asked as Elena woke up.

"Still passed out." Trevor answered.

"You didn't touch her, did you?" Rose asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Give me some credit. So, you called him?" Trevor changed the subject.

"No, I called one of his contacts. You know how this works." Rose replied.

"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" Trevor asked, nervously.

"They say he got it."

Elena gets up and walks upstairs. She's listening in on their conversation.

"What about Cassidy?" Trevor asked.

"Don't worry about that. She's probably with Elijah. They mentioned something about her as well." Rose said to him.

"Look, it's not too late. We can leave it here. We don't have to go through with this." He tried to convince her.

"I'm sick of running!" Rose yelled.

"Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying." Trevor said.

"Elijah's old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free. If Cassidy is with him, we'll be free as well because Cassidy is a reasonable person. She knows Kathrine played us."

Elena accidentally makes one of the boards squeak. Rose sees her.

"You! There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understand?"

"Who's Elijah and Cassidy?" Elena questioned the vampire.

"Your worst nightmare."

"Why am I here?" Elena asked rose, for like the tenth time that minute.

"You keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them." Rose commented, snarky.

"Why won't you?" Elena asked, annoyed.

"That's another one."

"You got me, okay? It's not like I can go anywhere. The least you can do is tell me what you want with me." Elena told the vampire.

"I personally want nothing; I'm just a delivery service." Rose replied, shrugging.

"Delivery to who? Elijah? Cassidy?" Elena questions, as rose points at her.

"Two points to the eavesdropper."

"Who are they? Are they vampires?"

"They're one of the vampires, the originals." Rose corrected the girl.

"What do you mean the originals?" The girl was clearly confused.

"Again with the questions. Haven't the Salvatores been teaching you your vampire history?" Rose asked.

"So you know Stefan and Damon?" Elena asked.

"I know of them. A hundred years back, a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan. She said he was one of the good ones. I'm more of a sucker for the bad boys though but I digress." Rose told Elena.

"Who are the originals?"

"Trevor and I have been running for 500 years. We're tired, we want it over. We're using you to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess." Rose explained to the teenager.

"But why me?"

"Because you're a Petrova Doppelgänger. You're the key to breaking the curse." Rose told the Doppelgänger.

"The curse? The sun and the moon curse?" Elena remembered.

"Oh, you do know your history." Rose commented, sassy.

"What do you mean I'm the key? The moonstone is what breaks the curse." Elena responds to her, with false information.

"No, the moonstone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks it."

"Sacrifice?"

"The blood of the doppelgänger. You're the doppelgänger. Which means, in order to break the curse you're the one who has to die."

"Tell me more." Elena demanded as Trevor walks into the room.

"Captivity has made her pushy, eh? What do you want to know doppelicious?" Trevor commented.

"Who were you running from?" Elena asked, like she doesn't know the answer.

"The originals."

"Yeah, she said that. What does that mean?" Elena asked, getting annoyed.

"The first family, the old world. Rose and I pissed them off." Trevor said making rose cough, giving him a look. "Correction, I pissed them off, Rose had my back and for over half a millennium, they wanted us dead."

"What did you do?"

"He made the same mistake countless others did: he trusted Katerina Petrova." Rose replied for him.

"Kathrine." Elena mumbled.

"The one and only, the first Petrova Doppelgänger." Rose added.

"I helped her escape her fate and now I've, sorry, we've been marked ever since."

"Which is why we're not gonna make the same mistake again." Rose tells Elena.

"He's here! This was a mistake. She might even be here!" Trevor freaked.

"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." Rose reassured Trevor.

"No! He wants me dead, Rose!"

"Well, he or even they want her more!" Rose yelled, gesturing toward Elena.

"I can't do this. You give her to him, he'll have mercy on you but I need to get out of here." Trevor said,nervously.

"Hey! What are we?" Rose questioned.

"We're family." Trevor answered. "Forever."

Someone knocks on the door.

"You're scared." Elena says, pointing out the obvious.

"Stay here with her and don't make a sound." Rose tells Trevor who nods.

Rose opens the door to see Elijah and Cassidy.

"Rose-Marie. Is there somewhere we can talk?" Elijah asked her.

"Yes, in here. You have to forgive the house." Rose replied, nodding at the two.

"Oh, no, what's a little dirt? I completely understand." Cassidy spoke, smiling at the brunette.

"So tell me, what is it that gives you the courage to call me?" Elijah questioned.

"I wanted my freedom. I'm tired of running. You in a position to grant me that?" Rose tells the two siblings.

"I have complete authority to grant pardon to you and your little pet. What is his name these days? Trevor. If I so see fit."

"Elijah, be nice. Of course, what could you give us?" Cassidy turned to rose who smiled at the redhead.

"Katerina Petrova?"

"I'm listening." Elijah said making Cassidy smirk.

"She didn't burn in the church in 1864." Rose told the two but Cassidy already knew this.

"Yes, Rose. We figured, Kitty-Kat is smart." Cassidy says to her.

"You don't seem surprised." Rose said, taking in their expressions.

"Oh, when you called and invited me into this armpit of civilization, which is a mere three hours from the town we know as Mystic Falls, I surmised it had everything to do with Katerina. Do you have her in your possession?" Elijah explained to her.

"Besides we're not dumb. Kathrine is a smart woman. We had no doubt she escaped that tomb." Cassidy rolled her eyes at Rose.

"No, but I have better. I have her doppelgänger" The brunette said, answering Elijah's question.

Elijah's face changed. "That's impossible, her family line ended with her. I know that for fact."

"Well, Elijah, the facts are wrong." Cassidy told her older brother.

Rose nodded. "She is right."

"Well, show her to me." The Original demanded.

"Elijah, you are a man of honor, you should be trusted but I want to hear you say it again." Rose told him, serious and firm with him.

"You have my word that I will pardon you." Cassidy rolled her eyes at the words, knowing he never said anything about Trevor. "As does Cassidy, right?"

Cassidy nodded at his words. "Well. Of course, dear Rose."

"Follow me." Rose said and they did that. They arrive at the main room. Elena hears them. She's scared and turns her head. Elijah and Cassidy look at her. Elijahs surprised and rushes over to her. He looks at her and smells her neck. Cassidy just looked at the girl, bored but she didn't say anything.

"Human. It's impossible. Hello there."

"Elijah. Can we go now? After all it is a long journey." Cassidy said, pouting.

"Of course, Cassie." Elijah said before turning to the girl. "We have a long journey head of us. We should be going."

Elena looks at Rose, scared of this news. "Please, don't let them take me?"

"One last piece of business and we're done." Elijah told them.

Cassidy whined as Elijah made his way to Trevor.

"Seriously!"

"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly, very sorry." Trevor apologized.

"Oh no, your apology's not necessary." Elijah told the vampire.

"I think it is." Cassidy pouted, annoyed with this and her brother.

"Yes, yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina and I failed you." Trevor said, agreeing with Cassidy.

"Oh yes, you are the guilty one and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you and that now I honor. Where was your loyalty?" Elijah asked him, raising an eyebrow.

"I beg your forgiveness." Trevor pleaded with the Original.

"And you have it." Cassidy spoke making everyone turn to her. "It is not his fault Kathrine tricked him, it's her thing. Do not frent. Plus I gave my word to rose as did you, Elijah."

"You're right." Elijah agreed before looking at Elena. "Let us be off."

"No, what about the moonstone?" She asked making both siblings stop in their tracks and look at her.

"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah challenged her.

"I know that you need it and I know where it is." Elena got out.

"Really? Tell me." Cassidy demanded of the girl.

"It doesn't work that way." Elena spoke making Cassidy and Elijah look at her in amusement.

"Are you negotiating with us?" Elijah asked, looking at Rose and Trevor.

"It's the first I've heard of it." Rose said, as Elijah turned back to Elena.

"Okay, enough of your little game." Cassidy goes to compel her but it doesn't work, She looks at Elena's necklace and realizes it's her blondes sisters. "Mhm. This'll be fun."

Cassidy wrips the necklace from her neck. "Tell me where the moonstone is." Cassidy compelled Elena.

"In the tomb, underneath the church ruins." Elena was forced to say.

"What is it doing there?" Cassidy asked,  curious and a bit impatient.

"It's with Katherine."

"Interesting." Elijah commented making his younger sister nod.

They all heard a glass break.

"Wanna tell us what that was?" Cassidy asked Rose and Trevor.

"We don't know." Rose told her, answering for them both.

Cassidy turns to the brunette human girl. "You. Do you know?"

"No." Elena said, lying since she knew it was Stefan and Damon from the note she got from early.

"I know you're lying." Cassidy replied to her answer, making Elena look at her surprised. "Don't act surprised. Now tell me, who is in this house?"

"It's Stefan and Damon! They're here to save me!" Elena exclaimed in fear.

"See? How hard was that?" Cassidy asked her, smirking. "Stefan. Damon. Why don't we have a talk?"

"Like hell." Damon said, throwing a vervain bomb at her. Cassidy vamp sped away before it even hit her.

"Okay. Have it your way." Cassidy said, before throwing Damon against the wall, Stefan came out as Elena gaped. "Wanna talk now?"

"Yeah." Stefan said, sighing.

"I'm Cassidy. Now I hear you have the moonstone." Cassidy smiled.

"Maybe we do." Damon got out, standing up.

"Good. Keep it." Cassidy before speeding out with Elijah following.

Damon and Stefan looked Elena, confused as she did them.
