now, before i speak out, please go and watch this adorable short film!! it's probably one of the cutest things i've seen in a while. you will not regret it!

so, as i have said, in a heartbeat is probably one of cutest and relatable animated pieces i have come across. it basically saved this year for me. if you don't know what in a heartbeat is, it's a short four minute long animation about a boy who has a crush on another boy.

but i have a problem.

no, it's not about homosexuality, it's about the homophobia.

i thought it would be a good idea to scroll through the comments and see what kind of support this sweet project would get, or so i thought.

here some examples of what i saw;

" i'm pretty sure the gingers' gay lol. "

" you know what would be better? if the ginger was a girl. :) "

" f*ggot "

" boys can't like boys. "

" disgusting. "

and so much more.

i have one word to describe this: disappointing.

c'mon people! we live in the twenty-first century for fuck's sake! THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY!

it's 2017, we should be teaching our kids that it is, in fact, okay to be a homosexual. it doesn't matter what gender you are, you can be with who ever you want! if i'm okay falling in love with a woman, you should be okay with falling in love with a man! or vise versa.

people should learn to be more accepting and caring towards the lgbtq+ community. they matter just as much as we do. they deserve to be a happy community instead being casted away by moms, dads, brothers, sisters or any loved ones they have.

i was taught that it wasn't okay to fall in love with the same sex, as did others. but, what does it fucking matter anymore? if i fall in love with man, great. if i fall in love with a woman, that's also great. because they're just people. we fall in love with people.

we are all made the same, born the same and the same things. it's just really sad that people still don't see that. god is excepting, that's that. we live in a society where, people are afraid of embracing their sexuality. and it's really fucking sad.

so, i beg you to be kind, considerate and wonderful to people like them. they need it more than you think.
