Camila Diaz thought she had the world figured out.

It took her years to gain control of her life. Nevertheless, she found a career that guided her with vigor and passion. Soon after, she entered her prime. Nothing could stop her. But it all came crashing down when she met a charming yet cynical man.

He showed her just how cruel the world could be. With his hands wrapped around her neck, she was denied any air. But there was just enough to breathe. Somehow, she could see how beautiful the world could be through the sparkling eyes of her son, Xavier. He was the light in the darkness that unknowingly kept her afloat through the waves of her husband's rage.

It took her years to escape that man's wrath. The divorce was brutal. Cold and bitter, it froze her heart and left her with nothing but a fierce attitude and a son who quietly resented her.

For a while, there was peace—until Camila's self-destructive tendencies led her to lose her job. Like dominoes, her life fell fast.

Left with almost nothing to her name and no choice, she called her mother for help and finally rejoiced with the Diaz family. 

Her new life began in the Reseda Heights complex, a downgrade from her last apartment but better than her first. Now, she lived a few footsteps away from her loving family, a comfort she'd never considered possible. But that solace was interrupted by the thundering stereo next door.

Sharing a wall with a troubled blond man led her to a whole new level of chaos that even several glasses of red wine couldn't tame.

When her son, Xavier, tags along with his cousin, Miguel, on the journey of mastering the art of karate, Camila discovers that there is no escaping her neighbor, Johnny Lawrence, and his reckless ideals.

Luckily, it didn't take long for Camila to find herself intrigued by the drunken sensei of a man. Oddly enough, maybe he would be the one to show her how loving the world can be.

Note.ᐟ  Honestly, I told myself that I would never watch Cobra Kai. But Vee convinced me (thanks, queen), and now here we are. At first, I watched the show for Dilf Johnny, but eventually, I grew to love all of the characters. But I'm horrifically surprised that there aren't many Johnny fics. Wild. So, I decided to make my own (with the help of Alana's threats, ily girlie).

Anyway, this story will be very different from my other works. Since this show is relatively lighthearted and comedic, my writing won't be too serious. This is very different from my usual dystopian/thriller stories. But, of course, there will be some dark themes.

This story will mainly focus on Camila and Johnny, but as the plot progresses, some chapters will concentrate on her son Xavier and his journey with Karate and the other Cobra Kai characters.
