Lydia Elise Keller's  POV:

  It had been two days since Mom and Dad's last argument.

  Since it was a normal thing around our house, I had not thought much of it.   

   I  went to bed early today.

   I mean, why not?

  I had a rough day.

 I  knew it was mostly the typical day for me.

  However, at school, it was a different story.

 See, my boyfriend, Bradley Wilson Wilson, broke up with me.

  Yes, the guy had the same middle name as his last name.  It was a fact I never questioned.

   I was the ideal girlfriend.

  I  was kind to him.

  I did not stop him from hanging out with his other friends.

 It was during lunch break that he refused to sit with me.

  I thought it odd.

 Sure, we had a spat or two.

But, who did not these days?

 I questioned him right before the bell rang for the fourth period.

I found out he no longer wanted to date me.

 I was not thrilled but acted as if everything was just fine.

 I was the good one.

I was the twin who never once talked back to the teacher in class, I made good grades, and I stood up for Bradley (due to others who dissed him because of speech impediment), and this is how he thanked me.

  I went home in tears.

 I let my best friend, my sister know first.

At least this way, the teacher would understand.

  Supper tonight was chickpeas, rice, and something I thought was chicken.

   It turns out the chicken was tofu, not actual chicken. Who knew?

    I  picked at the chickpeas.  I never did like them.

    I enjoyed the rice, and the fake chicken turned out to be surprisingly good.

   After supper, I finished my homework.

  Then, it was my turn to wash the dishes.

  I completed the task in no time.

 Next, I got ready for bed.

   The next day, I awakened in a cold sweat.

     I breathed a sigh of relief.

     It was just a nightmare, or so I thought.

     I ran downstairs.

    "Ah, Ah! No!"  I screamed.

    I could not help but notice the sofa was in ruins.

   The cushions had scratches marks all over them.

   A big hole was on the side of it.

    I glanced at the back door.

   I almost fainted when I saw the bloody handprints and the huge broken shards of glass.

   What on earth happened here? Where did all the handprints and broken glass come from?
