Sequel (3)

At two thirty on the Sunday afternoon, Park Jimin found himself rushing from the studio he worked at to meet his old partner for lunch. If it hadn't had been for his boss's Luna long ran errand he would have been running out of that studio about ten minutes ago. Regardless, he had no time to be mad at her. He was late to his lunch with Min Yoongi.

When he arrive he was greeted with a face that was clearly happy to see him, even if he was late and having trouble breathing.

"I'm really sorry!" Jimin apologized as he sat himself down and gulped down water already set out for him. "Luna decided she wanted to go and get the kids snacks on the other side of town! I'm sure she did it on purpose-"

"Jimin, it's fine." Yoongi chuckled. "Now why don't you tell me who Luna is and why she went to go get kids snacks."

Jimin was going to explain as soon as he was told to, but he was thrown off by Yoongi's look of curiosity. It took him only a second to realize what he was thinking because of what he had said.

"I am not married with kids, please don't think that." Jimin cried as he held his forehead in distress from just thinking of living such life. He leaned in and in a small whisper said, "No women for me."

That alone was enough to set lunch into a motion of retelling of stories and catching up on the many years the two old partners were not in each other's life. Jimin explained the story of how he ended up being late while waiting for Luna to return. He worked backwards by leaving out one thing, what really brought him here. Once he was done telling from where the two split, Yoongi was looking at him with a knowing smile.

"What?" Jimin asked, a piece of toast almost in mouth.

Yoongi finished sipping his drink before holding his finger up to point directly at Jimin.

"You left something out."

"No, I didn't."

"You're pinky started tapping the table. You do that when you're nervous. You did it when we first started talking, then you stopped, and then you did it again when you mentioned coming to live here. Why are you really here, Jimin?"

Jimin, now discovered from skipping over sour memories was feeling trapped. He didn't mind telling Yoongi because even though they had spent years apart, it didn't feel like that. Sure they had both changed in more than one way, but beneath it all it felt like back when they were partner's. It was like when had just commenced a partnership that would end recklessly. Jimin still felt that comfort he found in Yoong, and although they were no longer partners in crime, he still told him.

To Yoongi was unfolded the real reason why Park Jimin arrived to the town in a distraught state after having left a place he once called home. He had arrived with the same car which now rested in Yoongi's Aunt mechanic shop to be fixed. As he drove from town to town angry with present tears. The day before he had spent the hours of the night driving had been just been great up until the time he came home from work. Jimin at the time had been working in a retail store where the hours were great, the pay was just alright, and gave him time to spend with the one he loved. He had a shift for the night to cover that would go from eight that night to eight that next morning. Frankly, he wasn't fond of those times because those hours he preferred to be curled in bed with the man who was making him feel as though he was some fairy tale prince. Hal, his suppose prince, was a man he had met back in his hometown, but followed out to the place they lived together for six months. The man was an artist that worked as a barista in the place Jimin often stopped by for coffee. Their banteres led to a date which led to dating which eventually led to the two moving out together. Fast forwarding to six months later he was working stock when his boss came in asking for him to close up that the delivery trucks were not coming until the next day. Happy with the news, Jimin decided he'd surprise Hal. However, he was given the surprise.

"So he cheated?" Yoongi asked before Jimin could say anything.

"He did."

Jimin finished his drink before finishing his story. He told Yoongi of how he had seen a beautiful woman, Hal's bestfriend, laying naked in his bed. His hand was held as he explained the feeling of pure disgust. Not wanting to do anything with the man who was no prince, but a supervillain in disguise, Jimin left. The couple were sleeping when he had found them so had not noticed when things were taken from the room. Jimin had in a quiet fashion as he cried taken some things important to him. With the black bookbag on his back that carried some of his belongings and his cat in one hand he left. He got into his car and drove where he knew he would be welcomed. By morning he was in Luna's apartment with a new cell phone number and whole new life.

"That was six months ago." Jimin said to finish off his story. He smiled at the end of it despite the gathering tears at the corner of his eye. When one fell he took his free hand to wipe it, but Yoongi beat him to it. With his thumb he pushed it away then used the same hand to clasp Jimin's hand, the one he already held, and kissed it.

"Let me tell you how I ended up here."

Jimin laughed a little. "Please do. I really hope it's much worse than how I did."

Yoongi shook his head. "I don't think anything is worse than that."

The two chuckled a little. Yoongi was going to start off when the waitress returned to the table to gather their plates. When she asked if they'd like dessert, Yoongi answered with an of course. He ordered something that brought up old memories. When the red jello was set on the table, Jimin asked hopefully if he could have some this time.

"Maybe. Answer me this first, why is there still a cartoon characters on your shirt?"

Jimin looked down to find he was wearing one of the shirt's he had salvaged from his drastic life change. He didn't answer right away. First he snatched the dessert to his side of the table then gave his answer.

"Because the kids at the studio love it."

"That's not why you wore it back then."

"Well it is now. You're turn to tell me how you got here."

Yoongi let Jimin's mouth stay occupied with the dessert while he told him of where they left off. He had spent about a few months where they were before, living off savings, and being a full time dad. After a month or so Agust mother suggested they tried to commence a romance which didn't take off as they wanted. They decided to split and concluded that it'd be best that Agust be taken with Yoongi to go live with his Aunt. The plan was something they had discussed long before, but put a halt until then. Yoongi for a moment did not disagree and so the two came to live in the quiet town. After all the murders which stopped, the mother of the child was too frightened about letting her boy grow up in a place with such reputation. She had also goals in her career she wished to reach yet couldn't because of her son. So Yoongi saw it best not just for himself, but for everyone involved that they leave. He took off with Agust to one place while the boy's mother to another. Since then he resided learning from his Aunt so that he could run the shop. He dated a few times, but things never went anywhere. It was not only on Yoongi's behalf, but Agust never seem to get along with any of the people presented to him.

"You know I always wondered why he never bothered getting along with any of my partners for some reason. I feel as though it's not just because he's a kid."

"Well he gets along with me." Jimin said as he set down the spoon.

Yoongi smiled. "I know."

"What are you trying to say, Min?" Jimin asked. He wasn't sure what exactly Yoongi had meant when he claim Agust gets along with him. Yoongi shook it off with a laugh before asking him about where he was living now to which Jimin said the name of the old lady that was familiar to them both.

"Ah Donia." Yoongi sighed. "She's...something. Did you know she cheated my Aunt at bingo the other night. Auntie Min was just trying to win a collar for Holly."

Jimin smiled cheekily as he recalled that that collar which the older women wanted was now resting on his black cat's lovely neck. He wasn't sure just how much Yoongi wanted to hear that, but he told him anyway. After hearing just the name of the cat, Yoongi's eyes lit up and the collar was forgotten completely. As Jimin was walked back to the studio he rambled on to Yoongi all about the cat. He was very interested to listen as well as see pictures of the now big cat.

"Oh I remember when we had just found him."

Jimin nodded his head as he too recalled those times. It was when he and Yoongi were just starting to warm up to each other as partners. Because of the cat they had also gotten others they wished not to have involved. By the time they reached the studio neither one had noticed, so much they had walked past it until Jimin noticed and walked them back.

"You're still such an airhead."

"I am not!" Jimin exclaimed. "I just want to..."

"Want to what?"

They had stopped in front of the shop, now standing right in front of each other. Jimin didn't answer right away. He had gotten so caught up staring at Yoongi that he just couldn't bother to come up with a filler for what he wished to say. He was confused by the arising emotions in his chest, but he did know one thing.

"I want to see you again."

Yoongi grinned. "I do too."

"Good."

"Great then..."

Jimin hesitated for a few seconds. He wanted to say goodbye, but a simple wave was not seeming enough. Thankfully for him, Yoongi took charge. The man leaned in to kiss his cheek and whisper a sweet goodbye. The action alone was enough to leave Jimin in the clouds for the rest of the day. As he sat at the table running with numbers with Luna he daydreamed of the simple gesture. He wished he could have been the one to have done it, but his cowardness had gotten the better of him.

"Is this about the little goodbye at the door?" Luna asked with an eyebrow raised. She had just about had it of her friend's weird behavior.

Jimin snapped back to reality. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"We all saw it Jimin. Me, the kids, and even the parents."

"The parents saw!?" Jimin asked all the sudden paranoid. "Why would they have seen that!?"

Luna watched with a blank expression as Jimin paced around in her living room.

"Oh I don't know." She shrugged. "It's just their favorite instructor just showed up so they wanted a glimpse. They got it, but as you were being given a kiss by your Prince Charming. Now sit down and tell me what the hell you're feeling cause you're like a love struck pup."

Jimin did sit himself back down and told Luna all about their meeting. As he told it he was not aware of the blush coming on to his cheeks or how he fiddled with his fingers. Luna on the other hand sat there with a smug smile until it was all over.

"So are you still mad at him?"

"No. I left go of everything I felt of those times long ago."

"So you'd be willing to give it another go with him, if he wants to I mean, which I'm sure he does."

Jimin shook his head head. "You don't know that for sure."

"Yes I do." The woman claimed.

"You don't."

"I do."

"No, you don't!"

The two continued on to fight back and forth until at last Luna had the last word. They looked at each other in silence as it was made clear who was in the right and what was going to be done.
