The detective's area of work had turned the gloomiest in the entire station. After the events occurred, the rookie squad of detectives had been broke up to be replaced. However, their relocation had yet to be assigned so they spent their time doing reports or what they could to keep be busy. Of the four that were left they showed their faces only on certain days.

On the early Friday morning only the three rookies showed themselves. It was the first day in which they had all been together. Namjoon however was no where to be seen. He was the most off with his schedule. Of them all it was easily said that he took the greatest hit from the betrayal. Jin, his right hand, had turned on him. The rest had only lost friends and colleagues while Namjoon had lost his best friend. Not even Taehyung could compare to him even if he and Hoseok had been close. On that morning they dealt with the fact that their guidance would not be with them today. They continued the day dully with silence until Taehyung spoke up.

"I'm heading to the Chief's office. Do any of you need me to take something for you?"

Jimin handed him a paper. He meant not say anything until he saw an envelope in Taehyung's hand.

"It's my resignation letter." He said before he could be asked. "I can't stay here nor can I wait any longer for my relocation to come in. I've already called my grandmother and she could use a hand on the farm."

The man tried walking away with his head held high yet it was clear that he wasn't feeling all that mighty with his decision. He never did intend for this job to be the one he stayed with, he considered it more of a temporary thing. Taehyung never wanted to be there in the first place, his mother was at fault for him being there at all. However, after much time among colleagues and dealing with serving justice, he loved it. Although he felt such way, he knew he could not stay. In fact they all knew that they could not remain together. Just sitting in the place where once it was believed everyone played on the same team was enough for the sour memory of betrayal to replay.

"Are you going to resign?" Yoongi spoke up. He had not bothered speaking to Jimin and Jimin had not bothered speaking to him in days. They no longer sat besides each other as they should. Jimin took Hoseok's spot next to Taehyung and gave Yoongi his back.

"No." Jimin said, his mind very made up. "I asked for relocation back home. According to my mom there should be spots available... and you?"

Yoongi sighed. "I don't know. I'm thinking of taking Agust with me to live with my aunt. She owns a shop which she can't exactly keep running on her own given her age."

Those words were among the few they had shared. The hour in which they had been released the two decided to end what they had. Before exiting out with Namjoon and Taehyung, Jimin held Yoongi back and did it then. It hurt him deeply since he didn't want to. He knew he had to though. His trust for Yoongi had become almost nonexistent. Even if he hadn't done it then, he would have eventually. During his time pondering he came to the conclusion that everything had to change. He did not feel right living in an apartment where he had invited criminals in as friends. Coming to work was painful and not just because of the pity looks or the constant questioning. Jimin decided he wanted to rid of everything and Yoongi would be among those things. There was still love, but without trust his decision could not be overruled.

"What does Agust think about that?" Jimin asked softly as he thought more for the child about the decision than Yoongi.

"I haven't told him, but his mother and I talked it over. She can't exactly advance her career with a child to look after as a single mother so she was willing to compromise... Do you think I might be making a mistake."

The look in Yoongi's eyes for once were not so stern or determined. He was lost and possibly scared as everyone else. Jimin rolled his chair over so that they were side by side like back when they were partners.

"I think that...he'll love to be with you." Jimin grinned. "I may have only met him once, which is unfortunate, but I do believe he'll like living with you."

Yoongi smiled backed. The two became lost in each other's eyes as they could not find further words to share. Instead they left the speaking to Taehyung who informed Jimin that his wishes had been granted. The man left his section to enter the chief's so that he could be properly told that there was a position available back at home. Jimin did not hesitate to take it. He left the station that evening for the last time. He hoped never to return. All his things were already at home so all he carried in his hand was his coat and a letter which he asked to be handed to Namjoon. He would not be returning to say his goodbye to his team leader, yet he did want to leave without say it. Outside of the building he bid farewell to Taehyung who he promised to go see once they were both settled. As for Yoongi, he gave him a hug that last much longer than he hoped.

"If you need anything you can call me."

Jimin nodded his head since he could not speak. There were already tears coming down his face and a lump in his throat that disallowed him to speak. He then took a cab home to finish packing his things. That night he rented a van to help take his things and in the morning that followed he said goodbye to the last friend he had.

"Are you sure about this?" Chanyeol asked. "Jimin, I'm going to miss you."

It was heartbreaking, but a much needed goodbye. Jimin also promised to meet with the red head in the future. Chanyeol had been genuine and honest unlike most the people he had come to meet. As he rode past the street of his old home Jimin found it ashamed of how little time he was able to spend there. He had not even lasted a year. He'd have to go back home with people thinking him a failure and there was nothing he could do about it but bite his tongue to suppress the memories of betrayal.

Things turned out as Jimin had predicted. He went back home with a new title that he didn't so much love as his last, but paid the bills. A year he spent living in his childhood home until at last he found an apartment in a town just outside it. He lived there for about a half a year until he moved one more town over. He had dated for some time, but after a horrendous break up he was forced to move again. Life for him had become somewhat peaceful except for the usual crazy night out with friends, or on occasions by himself. Now the most that gave him trouble was not a killer on the streets, but a busted engine from the old car his father had given him.
