The morning of a weekday was filled with a dull sky like that of many people's mood. It was not nearly close to the two days in which freedom rung in society for many therefore deathly atmospheres roamed the streets and road. Four detectives sat in a diner booth, ordering their breakfast before heading into work. On of the two sitting by the window looked out to the children walking their way to the school just two blocks away. Some looked excited while others dreaded, like the three other people sitting with him.

"What about you Jimin?" Taehyung asked tiredly regarding the male's meal. Once the order was put in the four got into the same head space, they engaged in the reason for meeting so early. Hoseok went first.

"The house was nearly cleaned out so there wasn't much to find. I did double check the tiles in the wall after learning of Jungkook's sudden urge to look there. He was right, something was off."Hoseok put his hands up and pushed them against the air. "Some of the tiles moved, not all but some. They didn't look that out of place but if one were to look close enough, a difference can be seen from the others. I found nothing in the ones' I pushed and Seokjin caught off guard by anything else so I guess it safe to say this case is going nowhere."

"No...not necessarily." Yoongi said slowly. "Your visit was not a complete waste."

The elder among them explained what could have possibly come from the two detectives revisiting the apartment, a theory. He theorized that the tiles were not out of place because that was just how they were designed to be. Behind the tiles should be a wall, a full wall not chiseled craters as claimed to have been noticed. The man was afraid of something given the gun and the holes in the wall might have been to hide something small. The three others listened intently, all coming to a conclusion that resulted in agreement. No one else had anything to add therefore it was a possible clue that would be brought to the superiors later.

"Perhaps his fright had something to do with the drug? Maybe someone was after him."

Hoseok shook his head to the suggestion. "No, it must have been something else. Someone was after him but it was for the purpose to kill before or with the drug. The man was scared of something else. Plus we're not certain he even knew this thing would kill him. Yoongi and Jimin were never told so."

A fact which no one else had bothered to point out nor even come to notice was said which got wheels turning even more. It was true, when the two partners had gone to get a share of the cool new fun in town they were never warned of effects. Perhaps it was because they claimed to have known somewhat about it. However, the mere suggestion of thought did not stop of the thought of wondering whether people were warned or just given before being killed.

"You've got to go buy again." Taehyung spoke up at last. "It's the only way we'll know."

"No, we can't-"

"No, yes we can and we will." Yoongi stopped Jimin. "We won't know if they're being warned. Maybe they will after the second time buy because death comes in the third or maybe they aren't. If they are, we can prevent the next death. He may have said too much of something can kill but Jooheon says after a certain of unknown times the drug shuts the body down. We need to find clear timing."

Three of the four agreed, Jimin was still skeptical. He agreed in the sense that they needed to find out if warnings were being given out but there was just one thing that wasn't seeming logical to him. How would they find these people to stop them? Yoongi was quick to answer that question by bringing up something which had stayed between the two.

"Remember the phone? Ravi handed it to us, it had names with adjectives on them. If we hack that phone and see into it we'll know when calls from who go in. We'll be able to predict whose next on the killer's list."

Memories of the contacts the male spoke of flashed into Jimin's mind. He remembered mainly the panic of the moment than what was on the list. Yoongi had been the one to see, the one to be filled with dangerous idea like his latest. It was agreed over the meal that two partners were to once again get some of the drug while the two others stood look out. This time they had more than one job. For their visit they needed to see faces and remember them as well as names if possible. Those people involved were not going to be free for so much longer, only until the investigation was over.

The team spoke no more of their troubles, only of things that strayed the conversation to smiles and laugh. Whoever saw from afar would think them all close friends enjoying a meal before a day of stressing over paperwork, not murders. For a little while it was like that. They sat among each enjoying whatever time they could before they split to meet back at work. The giggles and good surroundings came to an end when two partners sat in a car, waiting for their other partners to pull out of their spot first. The silence had been fine at first until they met eyes accidentally. The unwanted eye contact may have been what led to what they talked about next.

"So last night..." Jimin muttered. He hadn't much time to think of it considering after he had, he'd fallen asleep then rushed out of his house in the morning by Hoseok who'd came to pick him up for breakfast. However, Jimin was aware of how he had felt after Yoongi left.

"It was fun." Yoongi grinned. "We should do it again. Maybe overlooking the city across the bridge."

A hint of stupidity and denial overtook Jimin as he tried to justify the answer for anything more than it was. He pretended in his mind just for a split second that it didn't sound to an invitation to what would be considered a date. However, an asking for confirmation told the male that he should stop the act.

"Really? You'd want that?"

Yoongi tilted his head, a questioning look on his face. "Well I'm asking aren't I? What would make you think I wouldn't?"

Jimin didn't have an answer that was valid or at least sounding like it was. Really he had asked due to his self esteem playing trips on him. He apologized before accepting the invite. It was unsure where the two work partners were heading in their own nonprofessional relationship but it was safe to say they both wanted to see.
