The two work partners walked the lonely streets of the night to the only place with visible lights. They stayed close to each other as they conversed of what was the hottest topic between them.

"It's a fun shirt!" Jimin exclaimed as he pointed to the video game icon on his chest. "It just so happens he's cute too! Do you have an issue with Kirby, Yoongi?"

At the question, Yoongi threw his head back and laughed out loud. He reached for the door of the diner while still chuckling about the accusation. Jimin went through but kept his attention on the male in hopes to hear an answer. They sat yet nothing was returned except a knowing smirk. While Yoongi looked through his menu, still ignoring the question, Jimin thought of something to say that would get him to talk back.

"I'll get you one too. Now we'll be matching on the job."

Yoongi scoffed. "We'll be the laughing stocks of the office."

Jimin smiled. "Exactly, it'll be both of us, that's called partnership Yoongi."

The elder male raised his eyebrow but the other could not tell if it was at his annoying claim. When no answer came again, Jimin resorted to humming to still disturb his partner for doing the same to him. He was not the fondest of being made fun of for his laid back and comfortable causal style. Sure the clothing he owned was also belonging to some younger generation's closet but that to him just meant he wasn't as old as many would think, at least not in spirit.

"Have you picked out what you want?"

"That depends," Jimin looked up, "are you paying?"

Yoongi face still for a second, staring down the male in front of him before muttering a yes. Jimin returned a smile as well as the claim that he'd choose the most expensive meal there was. To that Yoongi gritted his teeth and slipped him a curse in form of a gesture. The elder male took some more time in deciding what he wanted before they were attended by a young waitress with a lovely smile. She was a heavy set blonde woman who had taken an interest in talking to Yoongi.

"It's a great choice you know," She comments on the dish the male ordered. "I get it all the time."

At the interaction of the two, Jimin darted his eyes away from the window he stared at. He had been looking at a group near a car but they weren't as interesting as what was happening in front of him. Yoongi simply smiled back at the waitress before she took her leave.

"What was that?" Jimin asked with a knowing smile, his eyes following the female.

Yoongi shrugged. "Nothing."

"Didn't seem like nothing to me."

"Well, that's what happens when one doesn't wear shirts with cartoon characters on them."

Jimin wasn't expecting to be brought back on the topic of his dressing choices again so he bit his lip and looked away from the male who just could leave his likes alone. Frankly, he didn't think it was a big deal but Yoongi thought otherwise. Jimin opened his mouth to protest once more but stopped when he noticed that his partner's eyes were over his head and looking the slightest bit concerned. The male turned his head to look back but before he could even scan the premises, Yoongi was pushing him further into the booth.

"What are you-"

"Shh!" Yoongi hushed him. "The guys from the other night just walked in."

Jimin jaw dropped, he scooted himself over to give Yoongi more space than what he had pushed for himself. There was barely any space for their booth was small since it was intended to seat two, one on each side. Regardless, moving the slightest bit was enough for them to not be sitting pressed against each other.

"Are they going to sit?"

Yoongi shrugged. "I don't know, wait."

A minute passed of the two trying to listen in as the group of those they've encountered only twice before. Jimin tapped the table with his fingers anxiously as Yoongi tried his hardest to watch a glimpse of what was going on behind them near the counter. He reported back with what he appeared to have heard. The group had placed an order to go and were simply waiting for it to leave.

"What's so bad about them seeing us?" Jimin asked as he squirmed besides Yoongi.

The male sighed. "Many things. Let's just play it safe. I don't want to encounter them anymore than we should."

They both agreed it was for it was best they go unnoticed so they stilled in the booth awaiting for them to go. However, the suppose ten minutes they thought would be turned out much longer for their food was served. The waitress appeared confused by the two's sudden closeness but did not comment on it. Jimin simply flashed her a grin as he took his meal from her hands to indulge in it.

"We're you that hungry?" Yoongi commented as Jimin smeared even more butter onto his toast, his fourth one.

The younger nodded. "Yes sir!"

At the somewhat loud responds, the few eyes near them turned to look at them. Yoongi sighed and continued onto to eat his meal. They exchanged only a few words until it came down to non for each were too captivated by their food to bother saying anything to each other. The end of the dinner was presented in a single small bowl that held in a red jelly.

"I want." Jimin whined.

The younger struggled to sit up right, so much he leaned on Yoongi who enjoyed his dessert. Jimin had his form of revenge for the making fun of his outfit by ordering as much as he could eat from the menu. He had stuffed himself with as much as he could, so much he was having trouble keeping himself upright. Although Jimin claimed to be full to the brim, he complained for Yoongi to share the yummy redness.

"No."

"But-"

"You've drained my wallet enough as it is." Yoongi glared at him. "Let me have this."

Jimin groaned. He was ignored until the very last bit of the dessert was left. It was stuffed into his mouth and with that, they were finally done. Yoongi paid the meal that he expected to not be so expensive before making his way to his feet. He stared down at Jimin who begged him for some time for him to digest his food.

"I heard walking helps." Yoongi said. "You can digest by walking home."

The male said no more before stepping away from the booth. Jimin's eyes widened for he believed Yoongi daring enough to leave him to walk home. Despite his aching belly, the younger rushed out to follow behind his partner. He struggled his way to the car where he leaned against for support. Yoongi watched with an unfazed expression as Jimin groaned from the pain of his bloated stomach. He was going to comment on it when someone beat him to the talking.

"Oh so it is you guys!"

Both heads turned to the source. The dectectives had not escaped the eyes of the group or so they were proven by their presence which they had believed to be gone long ago.
