The quest in which the boss of four he believed in competent was completed after what was a day of tiring searching, and calling for feline mammals. In the end it was not those methods that brought them animals back to them, a certain drug for them was. In annoyance that the idea hadn't been thought of before, three were left only to salvage the baby cats.

"They better have a good reason for making us bring them back to the city." Mumbled Taehyung who was playing with the paw of the white cat in his hands. There were four in total, one hands of two and two in hands of one. The driver wanted nothing to do with the animals except rid of them.

"He should really have more faith in us." Hoseok sighed. "Maybe with a little hope in him, Namjoon wouldn't treat us so harshly."

To the claim two agreed and one scoffed.

"Hope isn't going to change much and he wasn't wrong to not believe in us. We were suppose to have returned before sun down yet its already dark out."

The teammates looked among each other for they could not counter the truth being spoken. Sure they had completed the task but not in the time they were asked to do so and for that they were sure Namjoon would find ways to make work miserable for the next few days.

Eventually the men left the nature to enter back into the city. They were greeted right upon arrival at their desk by not just their superiors and the woman but a few joining officers. Laughter erupted as the four walked in with slugging postures of defeat. They tried not show it in their face but the smell of the outside was stuck to them which only proved just how much work they went through for something so simple.

"Boys, about time we were just about to leave." Ms.Lee smiled fondly at them. "Thank you for finding them and bring them back but it appears you brought one too many."

At the statement the men looked among each other with pure confusion.

"But the lady at the farm said you asked for kittens, these are kittens..." Taehyung said as he held up the white one in his hands. The animal made a sound which only led to prove his point even more. The men behind watching it all busted out laughing and even called the men names. The harsh reaction was not one they enjoyed and all were sure to show it in their faces. The woman too let out a chuckle but it stopped when the four cats were held up to her.

"We did our job, please take them."

Ms.Lee stared at them before nodding. with the help of an officer she took three off the men's hands. Jimin held the last kitten, a black one that appeared to still be asleep. He held it to the woman but she just smiled.

"She was told three kittens." Namjoon interrupted. "She got her three kittens."

The words had not registered completely in Jimin's mind until she said her final goodbye and smirks were on the face of his two superiors. One was more cocky than the other, Jin's looked forced as if he were unsure of it.

"Thanks for getting me to win that bet boys, go get some rest now. You've got plenty of reports to fill tomorrow and filing that needs to be done."

Namjoon left with one last laugh of victory before heading off to where everyone else had gone. It left now only the four rookies and the sleeping black cat.

"I can't keep him." Jimin said as he gently set the animal down on his desk, his four teammates gathered around him.

They all stared at the sleeping creature that had been the source of their troubles but was now only Jimin's. Much to the man's luck, he'd gotten stuck carrying the kitten the woman didn't want.

"Shelters are closed right now so keep him for the night, you can drop him off tomorrow before work."

The suggestion seem harsh to Jimin but Yoongi was only being logical. If the animal could not be kept by him then some else would have to. The men readied to leave meanwhile Jimin sat looking at the calm animal. It's black fur was so soft and it's green eyes which he could not see were resting so peacefully that in the moment Jimin decided he couldn't let the animal go.

"Guys, why don't we all keep him?"

The question lingered in the air for no one would dare answer it. Yoongi broke that silence with a answer that was basically a 'count me out'.

"I have a dog."

Although Yoongi had said no, the other two hadn't but thanks to Jimin's great debating skills, they agreed to do just that. With such decision though came a price, a quite literal one. The men piled into Hoseok's car and drove to the nearest department store where Jimin could be buying all the supply for the animal.

"You sure you want to do this?" Yoongi asked the male as Hoseok and Taehyung played with the wake kitten in the back. At first Jimin thought the question was sincere and straightforward but after Yoongi pointed to the radio clock he realized what he meant.

"We can't."

Yoongi looked to the two in the back. "I figured."

The ride was over and done with after sometime of arguing of what exactly needed to be bought and who would take what. They all gathered in the area that was for animals looking clueless until finally Taehyung got help. The woman to assist them was quick but Hoseok and Taehyung were not as fast in letting her go. They took her kindness as a signal to start a conversation, one that did not involve Jimin and Yoongi so the two stepped to the side.

"If we don't hurry we might loose the chance to find the guy tonight." Yoongi cried. "Jimin you know he's only there certain days-"

"I do but I'm in charge of the cat tonight so I can't-"

Yoongi sighed frustrated with what he was hearing. In all honesty he believed the kitten should just be taken to a shelter so a proper home for it could be found. He thought the cat would just ruin things and so far he was right.

"Fine, then I guess I'll go get them go on my own."

"Hey we had a deal!" Jimin exclaimed."The drug deal-"

"Drug deal?"

At the voices that chanted the two words sounding outraged as well as confused the two froze in place. One specifically, the who had not mutter the words, stared straight ahead while the other stayed still. The detectives had some explaining to do.
