Just as the Magic Knights assigned in taking down the Dark Triad and stopping the Advent of Qliphoth which would spell the releasing of devils on the human world and a genocide none dare think about were making headway in that regard, a wrench had been thrown in to stunt their momentum. Morris Libardirt, the exiled Magic Scholar of the Diamond Kingdom had been to accelerate the process of the ritual and opening of the Underworld's gates thanks to violating and destroying the psyche of Loropechika.

Morris: Simply by using the wisdom of the Heart Kingdom's queen and its previous rulers.... I have found a way to accelerate the growth of the Tree of Qliphoth! And to think that.... in exchange for being born blind.... I'd be blessed with abilities not common to humans. The true abilities of a devil host!

Morris: Through the power of a devil, my magic.... MADE IT POSSIBLE TO EXTRACT AND TRANSPLANT EVEN THE WISDOM OF LOROPECHIKA!

Revealing himself to be another host to the devil Lucifero, he unlocked the first gate to the Underworld and all hell began to break loose with the appearance of two high-ranking Devils named Lilith and Naamah. Realizing the severity of the situation, it wasn't just contained to the castle, devils began pouring through into Spade Kingdom as a whole but as if that weren't bad enough, the Magic Knights were dealt yet another nasty blow. Not just with the swarm of devils but due to the first gate opening.

Zenon: I couldn't even win at 70 percent....

Yuno: You're done, Zenon! GIVE UP AND RETURN CAPTAINS VANGEANCE AND YAMI, NOW!

Zenon: Hm hm hm... a worthy effort. But I shall do no such thing.

Charlotte: Impossible! Vanica's curse power was just sealed, so how exactly is her magic continuing to swell up?!

Dante: Ah, yes, wonderful! The very first gate, the barrier that makes our contracts with the devils incomplete.... JUST OPENED FOR BUSINESS!

Jack: KEH?!

Dante: Apologies my opponent, I really hate disturbing you when you're already defeated and in such a sorry state. But.... COME ON DOWN AND ENTERTAIN ME SOME MORE!

Just as Dante revealed the Dark Triad had reached 100 percent of their devil power, Zenon revealed the last trump card in their arsenal. The ancient demon Mereoleona had been fighting was proven not to be a loner as another appeared in the heart of the Clover Kingdom! Appearing with the intent to destroy the Kingdom, everyone and anyone that had been left behind to defend the Castle found themselves out gunned and outmaneuvered, and it wasn't until a desperate plan had been launched by both Julius Novachrono and Damnatio Kira saw them combine their magics for a hellish last stand and for the briefest of moments the real form of Julius had showed up only to as quickly vanish.

Clover Kingdom Noble: AHHHHHHHHHHH! IT'S A DEMON!

Asta and his devil Liebe, having finally completed their grueling training with Nacht and one of his devils in Gimodelo, had finally arrived on the battlefield with the chaos that had beset his home in the Clover Kingdom. Before the Ancient Demon that had been unleashed by the Dark Triad could make its next attack a fatal one against Magic Parliament Chairman Damnatio Kira and the incumbent Wizard King Julius Novachrono. However, while the duo were waiting for their deaths, the Demon Slayer which would often spell the arrival of Asta, came through and stabbed the spherical mass, destroying it instantly! And it was that moment as if they were telepathically linked to the soul, that Yuno smirked at Zenon.

Yuno: You thought you had it all figured out, yeah? Well, unfortunately for you, the Clover Kingdom-

Clover Kingdom Citizen: NO WAY!

Clover Kingdom Noble: HUH?!

Damnatio: All of that magic, we struggled with and Asta absolutely erased it?!

Yuno: STILL HAS THAT GUY! And I trust him to get it done!

Liebe: I hope you realize, our Devil Union will only last for five minutes.

When the transformation ritual finally ends, Asta is shown to have crimson/blackish horns and linings all over his usual Black Asta state but.... it's not Black Asta at all, he possesses bulky shoulder pads, two massive wings to the backside, his usual green eyes have undergone their custom blood red but his eye slits are more pronounced even so far as violent. To wrap up this description, thanks to the fusion with Liebe, Asta gains his markings and tail. He tightens his grip around the Demon Slayer sword just as everyone peers at Asta's Unite state.

Asta: Don't worry, where we're going.... WE'LL TAKE IT DOWN INSTANTLY! Hey, Magic Parliament guy. I want you to watch me, I'm gonna-

Clover Kingdom Citizen: Is that-

Asta: JOIN FORCES WITH A DEVIL AND PROTECT THIS KINGDOM WE CALL HOME!

People down on the ground began to run away when they partake in Asta's Devil Union form yet again, and the reception was less than ideal.

Klaus, also seeing the display and arrival of Asta in one go, looked on proudly. He may have not been Golden Dawn, but Asta was right there in the fold when the Kingdom was at its worst and he wouldn't stand for any slander from the bandwagon of people scared of him and his new power, though he understood their fear. They weren't Magic Knights nor would a majority of them be.

Klaus: You can do this! And it isn't because you're simply possessed by a devil.... you're more of a Magic Knight than anyone else, past, present or future! ASTA, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Asta: RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Julius watches on as Asta raises the Demon Slayer Sword, beginning a new fearsome fight.

Julius: The Ancient Demons of Spade are enormous amounts of mass of supercharged magic themselves! They repel all spells in existence, utilizing primitive and repetitive attacks to crush, overwhelm and mow down everything in its path! Even with saying all of that, it has no possible way of getting around Anti-Magic attacks like Asta's!

Asta: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! RAHHH!

SLASH!

In the madness where Julius had been diagnosing the situation, Asta had completely overwhelmed the ancient evil, deflecting said primitive and repetitive attacks from his opponents. For every bellow it gave, a new body was cleaved right off. The demon itself made a fatal mistake when it attempted to charge up another condensed ball of mana, blood started to drip from its neck, just as the head completely fell off the shoulders! Asta as quickly as he arrived onto the battlefield, he had defeated an actual ancient entity that most Magic Knights struggled with! Its bifurcated torso and sliced apart body began falling apart in chunks, the citizens and Knights alike cheered at the victory.

Ancient Demon: Rooooooooooaaaaaaarrr.........

Magic Knights: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Asta: YESSSSSSSS! WE DID IT, LIEBE!

Liebe: Heheheh, you're goddamn right we did, you idiot!

Gimodelo: No, no, no, no, no!

Asta: Gimodelo, are you all right?

Unbeknownst to the trio, Gimodelo due to its contract with Nacht not only blessed him with immense power but at the same time, it could also check the vitals of his master, and according to it, they had been fluctuating wildly.

Gimodelo: If this keeps up, Mister Nacht.. Mister Nacht is gonna-

Asta: You don't have to say another word! LET'S HEAD OFF TO THE SPADE KINGDOM!

But before he could....

POP!

Yeah, in the most inconvienent of moments, the Devil Union had become undone with Asta and Liebe quickly separating and suffering a free-fall through the sky.

Asta: WAAAAAAUUUUGGHHHHHHH! NOT NOW, IT CAME UNDONE WAY FASTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD!

Liebe: THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING TO ME FOR, IDIOT!? HURRY UP AND USE DEMON-SLAYER BEFORE WE GO SPLAT!

Asta: RIGHT!

But he doesn't even get the chance to get on, because a random portal pops up swallowing the trio of devils and devil-possessed Black Bull. Soon he hits the ground of a castle floor super hard with Liebe and Gimodelo landing on some stone fixtures before someone gets to speaking to the trio.

???: Sheesh, there you go again. Leveling up like crazy. I swear you, Tyrus and Noelle all must have an allergy to slowing down. But even so....

Asta looks up to find a group of people, all who bear a common familiarity and similarity to him. And that's representing the Worst Magic Knight Squad in existence. Before him stood Gauche Adlai, Vanessa Enoteca, Grey, Henry Legolant, and Finral Roulacase. His big sister figure adjusts her hat just as she gives Asta a jokingly disapproving smile.

Vanessa: Trying to head over to the Spade Kingdom all by yourself, Asta. I mean seriously, don't you think that's a little bit frosty to us?

Asta: GOT IT.... LET'S GO THEN!

(Spade Kingdom.)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

A woman in the ensuing chaos after the first gate to the Underworld had opened releasing many devils into the world falls. She doesn't get any reprieve either as not even seconds after she stumbled after being pushed into the ground, a gangful of devils ready to pounce on top of and rip her limb to bloody limb but before death could cry out to her, two members of the Resistance Force and defend the woman, giving her ample time to run away. The Division Commander Albert screams to his soldiers under his charge to not give an inch or quarter to this invaders.

Albert: PROTECT THE CITIZENS, MY SOLDIERS! THE PRIDE OF THE MAGE DEFENSE FORCE AND SPADE RESISTANCE IS ON THE LINE AT THIS VERY MOMENT!

Despite them being heavily outmatched and outgunned, the soldiers focus on the devils, buying time for their fellow citizens to run to their designated war shelters. In the chaos, Sticky Salamander swallows up a couple of innocents but this time, it's not for sinister machinations.

Sally: Sticky Salamander!

Little Girl: Whoa!

Sally: Hey, over here, everyone!

Man: Huh, where are we? Who said that?

Makusa: Snow Creation Magic, Snowman Safehouse.

Fuegoleon: We'll make use of Makusa's Snow Magic to hide the Spade Citizens from these devils. Meanwhile Valtos, will use the full capabilities of his Spatial Magic to evacuate them all.

Sekke: And in the unlikely event that they do find us, my magic will cut them down before they can take a soul. AH WHO AM I KIDDING?! DON'T FIND US! DON'T FIND US! DON'T FIND US! HAHAAAAAAAAAA!

Albert: Damn it, there's far too many of them! Not to mention, they're tough beyond comprehension!

Spade Resistance: AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

One of the devils who wielded flame magic causes an explosion, throwing some of the Mage Defense Force back, somehow not killing them. This particular devil is in turned killed by the massive and overwhelming flames of the Great Nature Spirit known as Salamander, with Fuegoleon now getting on the offensive.

Fuegoleon: GO FORTH SALAMANDER, DESTROY ANY AND ALL DEVILS THAT DARE STEP UP TO CONFRONT YOU, GREAT BEAST!

Albert: Sir Fuegoleon! A thousand thank yous my ally for saving my people!

Fuegoleon: Our countries may be different, but our desire to protect innocent citizens will always be the constant! No thanks are needed!

Spade Resistance Member: OOH! IS THAT THE FIRE SPIRIT SALAMANDER!?

Spade Resistance Member: How ferocious! So sacred and sublime!

Fuegoleon: Hm?

However, while one devil was scorched by Salamander, this didn't the entire band of devils in their intended destruction. Salamander itself held its ground while Fuegoleon provided covering fire for his mighty beast, the numbers were proving to be tasking.

Spade Resistance Member: CURSEEEEEE YOUUUUU, DEMON! WE WILL NOT LET YOU POUR THROUGH! Their numbers just keep growing!

Sekke: BAH-HA! THEY FOUND US!

True to his proclamation, while Valtos had been majorly focused on getting the innocents out of fire, two devils, even a flying one had bursted through his spatial spell, breathing fire just as the stragglers of the escape were getting to the designated location!

Spade Resistance Member: RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

PLSSSSHH!

Two members step up to bail out the trio of stragglers, not even remotely caring that they were getting stabbed, skewered or otherwise seriously injured by the intruders. One of the devils, teeth bared focused its attention on the male distraction but still he and his female Resistance pushed forward!

Male Resistance Member: TCCCCCHHHH! GRAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

All before a mother and her child fell to the ground, none the wiser of what awaited them. After their tumble, the child looked up to see the flying devil, its disgusting maw opened and teeth trained.

Mother: EEEEEKKKKK!

Child: MOMMY, I'M SCARED, I DON'T WANT US TO DIE!

THRROOOOOOOMMMMMMM!

But before death could welcome them in its tight eternal embrace, a beam of light raced past towards everyone and hit the devils, eradicating the duo of nightmare fuel!

Sekke: BAH-HA!

Makusa: WHAT WAS THAT JUST NOW?!

When the lightning settles, everyone finds the devils sprawled out, dead from the moment the magic's impact. A Resistance members looks up to find a lone mana array behind him.

Spade Resistance Member: What was that powerful spell?! It only attacked and killed off the devils without harming any of the humans? Who on Earth-

???: OOH OOH! Being back in Spade, I keep getting reminded of this brutal cold! Oi, oi, oi, oi, Captain Fuegoleon, are we too late to have some fun?

The Crimson Lion King captain smirks, hearing the all too familiar voice of a certain ice mage. Looking behind him he finds.....

Fuegoleon: Good, you're all finally here!

Tyrus Hail in his Spirit Dive, Noelle Silva clad in her Valkyrie Armor, Luck Voltia his buffed out Lightning body armor, Mimosa Vermillion, Secre Swallowtail, Tyrus's sister Blue Rose Knight Selene Hail, Charmy Pappitson, Fuegoleon's brother and fellow Lion King mage Leopold Vermillion and the Spirit Guardians of the Heart Kingdom, Floga of Flame, Gaja of Lightning, Sarado of Earth, Potrof of Plant and Smurik of Wind all having arrived to the battlefield. As he assumes command of the group, we are flashed back to the day the Eye of the Midnight Sun who spelled as the saviors of the wounded Magic Knights, who in turn were licking their wounds after Vanica Zogratis and her Dark Disciples quite comfortably routed on the path to kidnapping Loropechika and causing widespread damage and death in the Heart Kingdom. They were taken to the elven land of Elysia, a strong magic region within the Heart Kingdom. A few hours after having received the tour of Patry, Fana, Rhya and Licht's descendants new home, a giant spirit woman dressed in a gown covered with flowers and stems growing out of it. Her name was Dryad and she herself was the guardian of Elysia.

Dryad: HIYA THERE! C'MON IN EVERYONE! NICE TO MEETCHA ALL! I'M DRYAD! I KNEW YOU'D COME. Don't tell anyone but I got a gift for prophecy! On a serious note

Tyrus: Someone's a little too excitable, remind you of anyone?

Dryad: It clued me on what this Dark Triad was up to, the fact that the gate to the Underworld was getting ready to open. A flood of devils incoming would be bad business for Elysia and make things pretty miserable. We get enough of that with Rhya as it is.

Rhya: You know I want to end ya, but that'd be a pain.

Dryad: We will definitely lend you all a hand. Tee-hee!

Group: She's not at all what I was expecting!

And then respective of their magical properties, their strongest attacks are all launched simulatenously, indicative of their own newfound strength over the course of their time in Elysia. We see a Sea Dragon's Roar, Tyrus's Moonlight Blizzard and Charmy's Sheep all apart of the unified attacks of the Spirit Guardians and Magic Knights, their arrival giving the already existing Knights and Spade Defense and Resistance Forces a much needed rest. And when the attack is concluded, the devils first wave is all but obliterated. Limbs were severed, necks were broken but all those weren't the most powerful shared the same fate, and that was death.

Sally: WOOOOWWWWW! THEY'RE USING THOSE ARRAY THINGIES TO KEEP THEIR ATTACKS FROM HITTING THEIR ALLIES! I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW THEY WORK! Think they'll let me research them later when this is all over?

Noelle: Just you wait, Vanica! You aren't ready for the storm that's going to hit you and Megicula!

Devil: Low-ranking imbeciles, scrambling and stomping over each other to get out of the Underworld first.... What exactly are you afraid of?

A booming voice reaches the Magic Knights from the sliding door of Spade Castle and the voice suddenly produces arms and disgusting gray hands which palm the heads of two petrified devils who miraculously survived the magic storm. However their lives too were about to be cut short as one of the devils felt the temperatures uncomfortably rise on its skull before a full on inferno.

Devil: NOOOOO! GWAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Then as if that weren't enough sadism and devil-on-devil crime, another devil got wrapped up in its sinister fingers as they acted as a boa constrictor, squeezing harder and harder until its victim's neck snapped like a twig, only then would the calloused digits let go.

Devil: BUUUUUUuuUUUUUUUUUUGGGHH!

CRACK!

Devil: Is this how my time in the living world........ ends?

Albert: I- I cannot believe what I'm looking at! These ones magics.... they're far stronger and more dreadful than the devils we just encountered!

Luck: Hey, these ones..... are they?

Mimosa: Yes, there's no mistaking it. They're.... Mid-Ranking devils!

Tyrus: Seriously? At least business is picking up, those grunts barely filled my entertainment meter.

Devil: HAHAHAHAHA! A simple game of catch as we drink this utterly delectable outside mana. No one can give me a more wonderful time than this.

It then holds up the deceased remains of the devil whose neck it snapped, nothing more than a mangled husk turned into a ball of sorts as it then aimed the object at Luck and Tyrus.

Devil: But I imagine playing with humans..... WILL BE EVEN MORE ENTERTAINING!

It was at that moment that the Black Bull males looked at one another with Tyrus offering the Cheery Berserker the first opportunity.

Tyrus: Hey, Luck. I know I'm not Magna, but what do you say we play a little game?

Luck: Does it involve killing these devils?

Tyrus: Ha! You know it, you sick freak! First one to ten wins!

Luck: OH, YOU'RE SO ON!

While it was true Luck was a sadistic bastard when it came to fighting, be it against allies or enemies or a combination of both, one thing that was unanimous with him was, like Asta, the ability to adapt and evolve mid-fight. He silently remembers a bit that Dryad had told the group before they set out for Spade Kingdom just as his lightning form and Tyrus's Spirit Dive began to pulsate violently.

Dryad: I should mention this to you all before you set out. With the lower-ranking devils, if you happen to use a ton of mana, you can mow down each and every single one of them even if you're not at the Arcane-Stage. Your problem, however, will be the devils who happen to be mid-level and higher up!

Luck: Hey Ty, look at this.... the perfect set of playmates. How many do you think you can take out?

Tyrus: Let's see... I see at least twenty-six..... so fourteen? TIME TO FIND OUT-

Suddenly, its head freezes over but before it does, this particular devil looks to find his cohorts bodies also starting to freeze over.

Tyrus: Ultimate Ice Magic, BOMB CYCLONE ARROWS!

Luck: Ultimate Lightning Magic, Lightning Battle Fiend! If you guys can't see me-

Heads begin rolling off of shoulder blades as their corpses suddenly exploding in sequence.

Tyrus: COLD SNAP! DISAPPEAR INTO THE VOID!

Luck: Then it won't even count as a game to me.

Just as they wrapped up their devastating chain attacks, an explosion could be heard from the front of Spade Castle! Everyone from the unevacuated citizens, the Spade Resistance, Mage Defense Force, Spirit Guardians and Magic Knights looked on to find the building scorched all over and some castle towers beginning to freeze over!

Resistance Member: THE CASTLE! IT'S BURNING! AND FREEZING?!

Noelle: Tyrus, Luck, did you feel that just now?!

Tyrus: Yeah, the heavy hitters are for sure in there! How much yul do you want to bet they're not on our side?

Luck: There's someone inside, no at least two forces in there we definitely can't afford to mess with!

And that's when we see the source in magic power fluctuation.... Lilith and Naamah, the twin elemental devils, gleefully smiled in sadistic aftertones as they stared at their victim who had been scorched and frozen to hell, splayed across on a concrete wall like Jesus Christ being crucified..... it was the Black Bulls Vice Captain Nacht Faust. And he needed a bailout.... NOW!
