Narrator: Within the Clover's fifth leaf, there lives the devil. Unfortunately-

Narrator: The members of the Spade Kingdom's Dark Triad all possess powers granted to them by devils from the underworld and use them to launch a heinous invasion on their neighboring countries of Clover, Heart and Diamond. Gaining the strength from belief in himself and from the support of his friends-

Visuals of all the major players from Yuno, Tyrus and Noelle, and all nine of the Magic Knights Captain are displayed behind Asta as he races toward the Dark Triad and a malicious giant presence, riding on the Demon Slayer Sword.

Narrator: Asta continues to fight hard and passionately for the safety of this world!

Nacht: Asta, I hope you are ready. This is where the most arduous of your training is set to take place. The only way for you to get stronger is to unite with that devil.... and draw out all of his latent anti-Magic power!

Asta: HEY! What's that? A tail-

Nacht: Come now, Asta and Liebe. Surely this is not the end for the both of you.

Asta: HAHHHHHHHHHH!

The hardest training was now underway for Asta. Having formed a partnership with his devil Liebe, they both found themselves thrown feet first into the fire as Nacht, Vice Captain of Asta's Black Bulls quickly jumped into his own Devil Union, called the Canis. Quickly overwhelming Asta with the technique known as the Pack, Nacht tested Asta as if to state his own life was on the line.

Meanwhile on the Golden Dawn's property, Yuno Grinberryall had been hard at work in his own right, training to the point where his own body was failing him until a ghost of his past confronted him. That ghost? The man Yuno had previously defeated to become the new Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn, Langris Vaude. And he had an offer Yuno simply couldn't refuse.

Yuno: Why don't you come out instead of hiding and spying- former Vice Captain Langris?

Langris: You and that unwashed commoner mouth of yours, Yuno. You've never been one to hold your tongue, but I'm in no position to talk to my better. I'd expect to lose to you again. Hmmm, something's missing... where's that noisy little spirit that's always with you, singing your praises?

Yuno: Bell isn't coming out from my grimoire anytime soon, Langris. We've come up with a strategy as to how we can take down Zenon in one full sweep. I, myself can't confirm how well it'd go in actuality or how effective it would be- What is your purpose in being here, Langris?

Langris: I've come with both an offer and a challenge for you. It seems like you require an opponent with a firm grasp of Spatial Magic. It appears it can't be helped either, you've been here for hours on end.

Yuno: Honestly... I'd like to get Captain Vangeance on my lonesome and defeat Zenon. But...

Yuno: This is the Golden Dawn's problem! But you have gotten stronger, haven't you Langris? If so, I won't refuse your assistance and look forward to your cooperation, former Vice-Captain!

Langris: Hahaha.... You're still so very arrogant. But at least... you're starting to get more honest with reality. Let's get started.

And just when all seemed lost for Asta and Liebe in regards to actually overcoming their doubts towards defeating Nacht, the Vice Captain was ready to strike a fatal blow onto the duo.

Nacht: Oh well..... if it's not going to work today or anyway.... then you both... MUST DIE HERE TODAY!

Asta: Why'd it get so cold.... WAIT LIEBE! LOOK OUT!

Liebe: I see it, you don't gotta yell!

Nacht: Mana Zone: Dark Prison Hunting Ground.

Nothing but pitch black swallows the trio and Asta is the first to notice it, now having adopted his Black form once more....

Asta: It's pitch black.... GAHHHHH!

Asta: GAHHH! What the hell was that?! It's like.. their ki.... I can't track these things at all! THERE'S NO WAY TO DODGE THEIR ATTACKS!

Nacht: Such a shame, you did have potential, Asta. And even then-

ROOOOOOOARRRRRR! SLAAASSSSSHHHH!

Asta: HRRKKKKKK!

Asta: Is this what true terror is like?! Death is creeping up on me and Liebe from the darkness. And what's worse, I can't sense a freakin' thing!

Liebe: Both Asta and I crave more power!

Asta: Our backs are really against the wall this time around!

So why.... WHY CAN'T WE UNITE!?

Asta: If I'm going to save Captain Yami....

Liebe: If I'm going to avenge Licita........

The path before war against Spade's Dark Triad and the Qliphoth Advent Ritual nears ever closer.... NOW!

Spade Castle.... Spade Kingdom.... One day before the Qliphoth Advent Ritual is initiated....

The snow continued to batter all around the harsh winter landscape of the Kingdom of Spade..... While our gallant and resilient heroes made their final preparations regarding a counterstrike against the remaining Dark Disciples and their commanders, the Dark Triad who also doubled not only as the usurpers of the Royal family House Grinberryall, but the current rulers of the Kingdom to enact their plan of wickedness and insanity. That plan? To sacrifice Black Bull and Golden Dawn Captains Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance to bring the devils from the Underworld where all hell and bloodshed would break loose, resulting in potentially ninety percent of the entire continent being wiped out. All for the sake of the strong in the twisted mind of sibling trio Dante, Vanica and Zenon Zogratis who all had been recovering from their own injuries from fighting Asta, Yami, Noelle, Tyrus, Loropechika and Yuno respectively. Dante, having received the most grevious of injuries had been monitored over the last 48 hours from his gruesome escapade had been put into a recovery tube just as the clicking of boots had been heard throughout his chamber.

BLOOP! BLOOP! BLOOP!

Click! Click! Click!

Zenon: Mm. I assume my brother's going to make a full recovery then.... Morris?

A slender, blonde male belonging to the Diamond Kingdom, which had long since been subjugated by the Dark Triad and their forces turns to face the Bone magic user. After he had been brought to justice by new Shining General Mars on the counts of treason and endangering the kingdom, Morris, angry that he had been found out left the Kingdom who wanted his head along with his partner in crime, Lotus Whomalt and two other Shining Generals in his stead, pledging that his magic and abilities in service to the Dark Triad where they in turn allowed to run his experiments uninterrupted. He was Morris Libardirt, and he gives Zenon a direct answer, holding onto his clipboard very tightly with all the notes he had on Dante's progress while Lotus looks on intrigued.

Morris: Ah, Lord Zenon. You should not worry so much about your eldest brother. Listen, I was in charge of all the sorcery studies in the Diamond Kingdom. I'll have Lord Dante fixed up in no time. I'm even wagering to bet, he'll be even more fearsome and powerful than he's ever been in his life to this point! There's also the fact that all the magic that was gathered up for the ritual of the Advent was collected by the machine Candelo, of my own machination, no less. You should trust me just a little more, yes? That little ungrateful weasel Mars had the gumption to run me out of the Diamond Kingdom, but I should thank him. Because of his short tunnel vision, I ended in a far more interesting place! I'm grateful to you, Lady Vanice and Lord Dante and all of your subordinates, Lord Zenon!

And in the time while the trio conversed about the next steps regarding the Advent and the releasing of the Devils... Dante Zogratis, the eldest of the Dark Triad began to stir in his chamber....

Dante: Ahhh..... I cannot wait to fight that brat... once again!

Zenon: And I take it that none of our other preparations have been neglected either, have they?

Morris: Rest assured, my Lord. They too, are coming along perfectly and on schedule, no less. Isn't that right, Lotus?

Lotus: Yes, indeed. But I can't lie... this... is uh, really BAD. IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!

What he refers to.... is a giant devil gaining more and more power. It releases a nasty, painful and guttural howl while Yami while you can't see him fully releases his own delayed pain-filled grunt.... and then the visual of him and Vangeance being trapped head-first in parallel caskets in a blood-filled room.... the Advent was in the process of beginning.

Back in the Clover Kingdom....

ZZT! ZZT! ZZT! ZZT! ZZT!

Nacht: Incredible.... He intentionally avoided hitting my body directly so that he wouldn't mortally wound me. Not just that, but the union on my arm came completely came undone as if he didn't physically touch it. He also erased my magic, which itself lacks any substance, and mana zone that came along with it!

He looks at the fizzling form of Black Asta as Asta and Liebe come undone then upwards... at the damage inflicted on the abandoned building the trio were situated in. While itself didn't split completely in half, it had been threatening to do so.

Nacht: Anti-magic.... I knew it. If Asta uses that at full-power, then.... He WILL be the strongest. Looks like I lose.

Asta: YEessss! Then let's go, hurry up and.....

Nacht: No.

Asta gives him a bewildering look and both he and Liebe begin protesting heavily against Nacht's declaration that they weren't ready.

Liebe: Why-WHY NOT?!

Asta: Yeah, WHAT GIVES!? LIEBE AND I WERE  FINALLY ABLE TO USE DEVIL UNION!

Nacht: Yes, you were. Don't be fooled however, it was only for a moment. You have yet to even master that state. You two know this as well as I do. Don't you both?

Liebe: Damn him! But he's... he's right. But we've come this far!

Nacht: It is indeed a nice little step for the two of you, but if you ventured into the enemy's territory as you are currently. There's about a ninety-eight percent chance you end up dead, that other two percent would be you ending up alive but not without serious injury.

Asta: But Vice-Captain, I-

Nacht: Using Shadow Magic, I've been able to watch you and other Black Bulls, Asta.

Asta: Wait, what?!

Nacht: From the Magic Knights Entrance Exam, to you and Tyrus saving Noelle's life, standing up for her against her siblings. You Asta, were born into this world without any magic to your name. By accident you had been chosen by a devil.... and in turn toyed by unforgiving fate. And even so... you... were always right. Earlier today before we fought, I said people who were right weren't necessarily rewarded. However. I- would like all of them to be!

Asta gets completely taken aback by Nacht's sudden 180 in terms of view of the world and in turn, his subordinates who he had originally had a heavy disdain of...... Had Nacht come to rely on their power thanks to Asta's new show in strength and resilience to defeat his Canis Devil Union?

Asta: Vice-Captain Nacht...

Nacht: I'll be leaving Gimodelo here.

Gimodelo: Hey! WHAT GIVES, BOSS?!

Nacht: We will do all that we can, that is until you can get to Spade and turn the battle in our favor. So my only demand of you and Liebe, is to get that new toy of yours polished up... AND COME JOIN US!

Asta: SIR, YES, SIR!

Gimodelo Prime: If they hit me with that, I'm as good as dead!

Gimodelo Clone: Master Nacht is an ogre, leaving us here like this!

As the next stage of Asta and Liebe's training took its roots, the sun had risen over the Clover Kingdom and the Royal Capital where the mightiest of the Magic Knights had assembled in specially customized gear equipped to combat the Dark Triad with their emblems representing their squads. Charlotte, Rill, Jack, Nozel, Fuegoleon, Dorothy, Langris and a downright terrified Sekke stared at the horizon, ready to confront their opposition.

Yuno: All right.

Fuegoleon: Magic Knights! LET US GO RESCUE OUR COMRADES AND HER MAJESTY OF THE HEART KINGDOM!

Nacht: Everyone's here and accounted for, I see!

The collection of Captains, Vice-Captain and Sekke turn around to find Nacht's voice hitting their ears but conspicuous by his absence was Asta....

Fuegoleon: Vice Captain Nacht, where is Asta?

Nacht: Apologies, Captain Vermillion. I'm afraid his training will be taking a little longer than what was originally thought.

Jack: KEH-KEH! No one was counting on Suckyhiro's Freak of Nature in the first place!

Aww, that's a bummer! Asta's not coming?!

Sally: Well, that's okay, I guess. It still feels like I'll be getting to see something super interesting in a few moments worth investigating and dissecting. And not to mention, it'll also be a great test to see how the magic items I made hold up after studying Asta's physical makeup!

The former members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Sally, Valtos and former Magic Knight of the Purple Orcas Rades Spirito come from behind. As part of their sentences for crimes against the Clover Kingdom during the Midnight Sun's rampage, the trio were commanded by Julius to assist in the retrieval of Yami, Vangeance and Loropechika and if necessary, provide defense against the Dark Triad if they were to come across them so the Magic Knights could defeat them.

Nozel: There's something.... about these magic camouflaging robes she made. Are they really that good in terms of protection?

Makusa North, who had been working closely with the three, more often than not with Sally for the most part relaxes Nozel's nerves and confirms the suits everyone happen to be wearing are of her machination.

Makusa: Rest easy, my Lord! Sally might be a little odd, but when it comes to magic items, there's no equal compared to her.

Rades: OI, OI, OI! Maxa, don't go butting in just because magic items are yer speciality!

Valtos: Good grief.....

Meanwhile... a fear-stricken and paralyzed Sekke Bronzzaza began regretting that fateful night he rescued Augustus Kira Clover XIII, the incumbent king of Clover during the attempted revenge arc of the reincarnated elves.

Sekke: Why... why... why... WHY?! Why do I have to go on this Super-Duper-Uber-Evil-Fiend-Filled-Mission chocked full of dangerous dudes!? DAMN THAT LAZY, LOUSY AND INEPT KING!

Augustus: Sekke, my boy! GO FORTH WITH THOSE SORRY BATCH OF MAGIC KNIGHTS AND DISPLAY YOUR NEVER-ENDING LATENT POWER FOR ME! AND DO BRING BACK THE HEADS OF ALL THREE OF THE DARK TRIAD!

Sekke: I mean sure, I might've ran with a little white lie, lived it up for these last six months. I mean I work directly with His Majesty, HA-HA! BUT NOBODY TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO HEAD INTO A HELLHOLE QUITE LIKE THIS ONE!

Sekke begins to internally vomit when Nozel asks a not too harried question but the urgency suggests otherwise.

Nozel: Are you certain Asta will really make it in time? We still have yet to hear from the survivors of the conflict that took place in the Heart Kingdom, if they are still alive.

Nacht: Yes. Asta will most definitely show up.

Yuno: Except I'm going to end it all. Before he and Tyrus even get the chance to arrive in Spade.

Jack: KEH-KEH! It won't be you either, it'll be me!

Nozel: And you're just as incorrect in your assessment, Jack. IT'LL BE US!

Nacht: And with that poignant point by Captain Silva..... Shadow Magic, Shadow Corridor. Captains, everyone. Please step through.... this will be a straight shot to the Spade Kingdom!

Morris continues to examine Dante's progress and recovery efforts when the seismic activity begins to increase rapidly just outside of Spade Castle. Looking at all the monitors situated in his dimly lit lab, he grimly nods, knowing the war was about to break out.... and he couldn't afford any distractions.

Morris: Well, well, well... they finally decided to show themselves. The Spade Resistance!

True to what he had been seeing on the monitors, the very same group Ralph was responsible in leading but had to abdicate leadership temporarily in his bid to find Yuno, had been situated on top of the clocktower in the Castle Town belonging to Spade. Albert, a man who bears an all-too striking resemblance to a former Wizard King, takes up the reins on being temporary leader from Ralph until his return was made.

Albert: LISTEN UP, DARK TRIAD!

Zenon being the only one who paid attention to the chaos on the outside looks at the monitor after Morris zoomed in on the elder statesman of the Resistance attempting to strike the Fear of God into him and his siblings.

Albert: SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO, YOU TRIO OF COWARDS BRAZENLY MURDERED OUR BELOVED KING LOYCE AND MANY OF OUR COMRADES IN YOUR SICK RISE TO POWER! EVER SINCE THAT UNFORGETTABLE DAY, YOU HAVE USED THE PEOPLE IN ABOMBINABLE WAYS! WE CANNOT NOR WILL WE EVER FORGIVE YOU ALL FOR THESE CRIMES AGAINST THE KINGDOM OF SPADE!!!!!! EVEN IF WE FOUGHT YOU ALL TO THE DEATH, WE KNOW THAT WE CANNOT DEFEAT YOU BY CONVENTIONAL MEANS! HOWEVER.... WE THE PEOPLE OF SPADE KINGDOM REFUSE NOW AND FOREVER MORE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS FALSE ROYAL FAMILY-

Albert: AS OUR RULERS!

As he caps off his long-winded declaration of war, the doors to the actual castle building get smashed inward as the Clover Kingdom Assault Force rushed in, Nacht leading the way.

Nacht: Now then, each and every one of you, please stick to and follow the plan down to the letter.

As Nacht looked back at his compatriots, he remembers the first conversation he had with Ralph, the leader of the Spade Resistance movement after the emergency meeting had been adjourned.

Ralph: Hold on, Mr. Nacht. Are you saying.... you were spying undercover in the Spade Kingdom and the Dark Triad's many sinister machinations? And not only that.... but you've been in contact with a many of the members of the Spade Resistance since you've left our country?!

Nacht: I can confirm in fact all of that. I hadn't actually intended to be too much of a nuisance with your Resistance. But... as time went on, I watched you and your allies abilities and what you all were capable of. I thought it better myself to just go along with you all and cooperate.

He then turned to his subordinates' rival, the Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn and offers a sincere apology.

Nacht: I saw your determination during the emergency summonace, Yuno, was it? Sorry for pretending I didn't notice it beforehand.

Yuno: Unbelieveable......

Albert: We're counting on you, Mr. Nacht. You and the strongest Magic Knights that the Clover Kingdom has to offer, not to mention you... LORD YUNO! We shall create that diversion you all need, even if it shall cost us our lives!

The members of the Resistance begin making their own trek to Spade Castle when rumbling is heard......

BOOOOOM! RUMBBBBBBBBBBLLEEEEEEEE! ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARRRRRR!

Spade Defector: What the hell was that?

Spade Defector: The ground... it's shaking! EARTHQUAKE!

Albert: Not likely, my comrade....

Demon: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!

And that's when they all see it, paling at the very sight in front of them.... the very same demon that had been in storage underneath Spade Castle and a trump card for Morris and the Dark Triad emerged from the harsh winter ground, destroying any and all Mother Earth that was above it. This particular monstrosity had three glowing blood red eyes, four massive parallel arms and spikes seemingly endless in their approach on its backside with the final physical feature being free-flowing white hair, razor-sharp teeth and two more wiggling horns on its head. The mere sight of this behemoth struck fear into Resistance member who dare even look its way.

Albert: I don't actually believe what I'm seeing..... The Legendary..... ANCIENT DEMON?! IT LIVED IN SPADE THIS ENTIRE TIME!?

Zenon looks at the fear-stricken faces of all those outside of Spade Castle as he had made his own dialogue but where he could still be heard on the megaphone just outside of the Castle walls.

Zenon: Do you understand now? In the face of such overwhelming power, sentiment and vengefulness.... they are meaningless. As is everything in the world.

Zenon (from the perspective of the Spade Citizens and Resistance): Since I figured that there was a rat that had once again found his way into the Castle.... I only thought it reasonable that the Resistance would attempt something that would interrupt anything in regards to the Ritual of the Advent of Qliphoth but.... who would have thought you lot would appear just as brass as you are innonative and bold? My siblings and I were planning to use the Ancient Demon to obliterate the people living within the Castle Town with or without your interference in any event. You weaklings dare claim the title citizens of Spade? You are NOT citizens of the Spade Kingdom.... that title... IS RESERVED ONLY FOR US, THE STRONG!

Nozel: That sound.... it's not overwhelming but whatever it belonged to, it has such incredible magic power to it as well!

Fuegoleon: Are we sure the ones outside are all right?! Can they handle that monstrosity?

Nacht: Do not worry Captains. I know of a being that'll relish in the challenge of defeating such a malevolent presence. Someone you both know very well at that.

Just as the Demon stopped its war cry, it took its first steps, nothing but bloodshed and murder on its mind but before it could unleash the first move of the war.... fire rushed through the snow and before long, everyone watched as the demon's head snapped back to the point where its neck nearly broke on impact.

???: Impressive howling you've got in your lungs there, Spade Resistance Collective!

The fire soon dies down, revealing the Uncrowned, Undeafeted Lioness, the former leader of the Royal Knights, and one time leader of her brother's Crimson Lion Kings, Mereoleona Vermillion, right where she belonged.... on the battlefield, a wicked grin painted on her face!

Mereoleona: Therefore I, Mereoleona Vermillion, representative of one of the Clover Kingdom's three Royal Families, will and shall lend you all a hand!

(Minutes before the Ancient Demon And Mereoleona's arrival... as the Clover Kingdom Assault Force began making the rounds in Spade Castle in search of Dante, Vanica and Zenon.)

Nacht: Now then, the Ritual of the Advent is a large magic circle which itself is powered by four functions. One is the site of the Advent of Qliphoth in the Center where William and Yami are currently being sacrificed to the underworld. The other three will be the Dark Triad themselves who will activate the ritual. But here's the fun part, or the difficult part if you wish to go that way. We're going to defeat the all three members of the Triad and their devils, so we can make it to where the ritual cannot be activated nor operated. In doing so, we can stop the Advent of Qliphoth and prevent the remaining gates from opening.

Yuno: We could technically use Asta's Anti-Magic.... to destroy Qliphoth itself. But then again, that wouldn't necessarily mean it would be a guarantee to work.

Nacht: Correct. If we were to destroy it by brute force and Yami and Vangeance were to die, you all would never be able to forgive me, would you? Now then, Dante, Vanica and Zenon are stationed in three completely different spots on the perimeter of the Magic Circle. We will split into three groups, attack them simultaneously AND CRUSH THEM WHILE RESCUING OUR COMRADES YAMI SUKEHIRO AND WILLIAM VANGEANCE!

Spade Guard: INTRUDERS! ALERT LORD ZENON AND LADY VANICA!

Nacht: Even if there happens to be a diversion that they enact outside or inside the castle at any point, you're more than likely to encounter some Dark Disciples while trying to get to them. So when you do. Have someone on the team act as the decoy... let as many people as possible to get through and inflict as much damage as they can onto the Dark Triad!

Ancient Demon: ROAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!

Even after her vicious uppercut sent the Demon's head back, it is revealed to have suffered no damage, which terrified the Resistance members to their cores.

Spade Resistance Member: THAT DIDN'T WORK?!

Albert: We simply can't defeat a monster like that! There's just no conceivable way!

Mereoleona: They say no conceivable way.... HA! I SPIT IN THE FACE OF THE INCONCEIVABLE!

She thinks back to her fighting with the Eye of the Midnight Sun's reincarnated Vetto and even with her Mana Zone enhanced abilities, the difficulties she confronted.

Mereoleona: Back then, I learned there were certain things my magic just wouldn't work on, no matter how formidable I was.

Mereoleona: HAHAHA! TO THINK SUCH MAGIC EXISTED IN THIS ERA OF THE WORLD! THE WORLD IS CERTAINLY VAST IF WE HAVE NUMBSKULLS LIKE YOU RUNNING AROUND, YOU MANGY FURBALL!

Mereoleona: I don't know who you are but-

The reveal of Nacht's conversation in reaching out to Mereoleona to assist in the Spade Raid mission.

Nacht: You need not worry, Lady Vermillion. I will find you your ideal opponent as to gauge.... the results of hard training.

Mereoleona: It showed me... he was right! That I could still and that I will get stronger! YOU MY DEMONIC OPPONENT ARE FUN, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SITUATION.... IS FUN! I WILL BURN AWAY EVERYTHING. AND I WILL BEGIN BY.... DEFEATING A SO CALLED LEGEND! FLAME MAGIC, HELL-FIRE INCARNATE!
