Don't look at me
Blackrock hold
"A murderer."She repeated, as Duncan nodded with a grin.
"Psychopaths don't need common sense. Psychopaths don't need initiative. We just kill!"Duncan cackled as bubbles arose in the lake.
Rythian spluttered and dragged himself out. Burns, cuts and bruises painted his skin as he glared at Duncan.
The scientist only smiled and swept a green sword from the ground. He held it to the top of where Rythian's windpipe connected with his mouth. A few centimetres from slicing. The mage's dark skin was stained red.
With a laugh, Duncan grasped onto the silky material of Rythian's mask. He projected an exaggerated gesture that tore the fabric to show his face. It was horrific. Stringy flesh held onto jagged teeth that were unnaturally long, his skin was purely purple and it cut off a few centimetres from where his mask usually was.
A menacing look found it's way into Rythian's face as he seethed. Zoey couldn't do anything, she had such mixed feelings. A psychopath. Rythian was going to die. She couldn't do anything.
It was all so hopeless. This world, this life, these deaths.
Duncan edged the sword closer to Rythian's neck.
Rythian tilted his eye to Zoey, who flinched. He got a pained look in his eye, Zoey... Zoey must of thought he was a monster. He is a monster.
"Say your prayers, Rythian."Duncan hissed.
"STOP."Zoey cried."Duncan!! Think about Kim! She... She wouldn't want you to kill!"
"You don't understand! I'm doing this so that Kim is avenged!"He shouted back.
And somehow, Zoey understood. Her words couldn't be formed as useless wails of sorrow projected from her lungs.
Only death awaited everyone now.
But Rythian.
A searing sensation erupted from Zoey as she let her body burn with rage. Flames flared across her body, a blinding white exploding from her striking eyes. She let out an ungodly scream as Duncan lowered his weapon in surprise. He seemed to be almost... Scared.
"Zoey..."Rythian murmured sadly.
Zoey merely screamed in response and held her head in pain. Rythian couldn't move, his injuries were severe and his healing stone cracked. He stared, helpless at the flaming girl and said,"Zoeya, please, calm down!"
She shook her head, as if she didn't know what was going on, or what to do.
Duncan acted almost immediately, his eyes fading into a blood red. Manic laughter filled the air as he poised his sword towards Zoey. Her fiery hair lifted as she shot fireballs in all directions, hitting both Rythian and Duncan.
"Zoey!"Rythian cried out painfully."Please! You have to calm down!"
She showed no sign of stopping, as she merely roared,"Don't look at me, I'm a monster!"Over and over again, tears streaming down her face.
Rythian whispered a plea as he got hit by her fire continuously. A power surged through the Mage as he willed his legs to stand. He stepped, enduring the barrage of fire. Gritting his teeth, until he finally reached her. She started to turn away."Don't look at me, I'm a-"
She was interrupted mid-sentence by her partner, who put his hands on her face, scorching his palms.
"Zoey, please. Do this for me... Tee... Nano... And the rest. Please, let's... Do this together. Go through this together. Zoeya, before I... Go, I want you to know. I... I love you."Rythian whispered as he fell to the ground before her feet.
Duncan dropped his sword in the background. He started to cry. Zoey extinguished and started to sob loudly also. So much was lost that day.

Duncan was trudging back to his castle, dragging his feet. He wanted to cry forever, but the tears wouldn't come. He simply fell to the grass and screamed. Screamed and screamed, until his voice was hoarse and his lungs were sore. He clutched his head, after flinging his cracked goggles to one side.
A thaumic energy built up within the grief stricken mind of Lalna, he didn't care anymore. He didn't want anything to exist anymore. He wanted everything to die. He wanted to start over. He wanted to give up all these silly ideas of revenge.
In one powerful surge of energy, Duncan cried out as he released all his trapped pain in a sonic boom like wave of magic. The grass around him was dying and the flowers wilted.
A teleport.
The man raised his hand, his palm facing Duncan. The energy dissolved and Duncan fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Holy Notch, that was a surprise."The floating man proclaimed.
Footsteps started to patter from Honeydew inc. Xephos was the first to arrive.
"Ridge?! What's going on? Why is Duncan on the floor?"The Spaceman shot at the Demi-God.
Ridgedog smirked and said,"Some people died, Duncan here was about to destroy the world. Aaaaand I stopped him, being the good person that I am. Anyways, toodles!"Ridge teleported out.
"Tch..."Xephos grumbled."Unhelpful as always."
"Lewis, is everything alright?"The Spaceman's Dwarfen friend asked warily."Is Dunc dead?"
"No, I don't think so."He replied as he lifted Lalna and carried him back to Honeydew inc, Simon trailing worriedly behind him.

Duncan lay, breathing slowly upon his bed in Honeydew inc. His wounds were healing from the stolen life stone that Xephos had snagged from Parv. The Spaceman observed the colossal factory that they had built, a small pride welled inside him. They had done this together, it was insane. But he also felt like a prisoner to the Corporation. heh. typical.
Xephos pondered why Lalna went insane. Why was Lalna going to destroy the world? Did anyone do anything wrong? Did he do anything wrong?
A nausea crept into the pit of Xephos' stomach. Lalna was emitting enough energy to worry a Demi-God. What in Tekkitopia could have happened?
A small groan escaped Duncan's lips, and Xephos had never shot to his side faster. Honeydew awoke immediately ad was worriedly glancing down at his scientist friend.
"D-Duncan? Are you alright?"Xephos asked quietly.
"No."Lalna replied.
"Why?"The Dwarf pushed on.
"They... He... He killed Nano. My Nano."Lalna looked like he would burst into tears, Xephos never thought he would see Lalna this sentimental...
Simon looked shocked, a tinge of fear crept into his eyes. Death. And it was real this time. They were gone. Forever.
Xephos took time to let that sink in, and by the looks of things, so did Honeydew. He stuttered."I..I-I think I need some time alone."
He was about to leave until Duncan called him back."All of us are depressed, Simon. We need alcohol."He said with a flat expression. They all nodded, in silent agreement.
"I'll get the booze."Xephos said. He was surprised at the about of monotone in his own voice.

The trio sat together, looking off into the night sky. Dazed and droopy, there was a comfortable silence that replaced the usual highly energy drunkenness and laughter.
"Sometimes..."Lalna hiccuped."I wish that I could just die. And then I could rest for eternity, where no one will bother me and I don't have to deal with any silly feuds. Is that right? Can I really stay that way? I just... Now... That she's gone, I want to die even more. Sometimes I think about it. Rythian, hurling a knife through the window. The pie that I baked, bursting into flames and charring me. The quarry hitting me. And it makes me think..."He took a moment to breathe softly."It makes me think that humans are ever so fragile."
A small murmur of agreement escaped Honeydew's lips, but Xephos sat up slowly and said,"No. We are strong. That's why we are here now. You have to keep pressing on, for her, for us and for you. Lalna, Nano wouldn't have died just for you to kill yourself. Life out your life's get over it. That only proves your strength, and nobody is here to stop you. Do it for her. Do it for Nano."Xephos watched Duncan lay back on the soft grass and sigh.
"What am I anymore? She was my star, guiding me. And now she is gone, and I have lost all direction. There is no hope... I cannot move on. Xeph, you know this."Duncan looked at the stars.
"Lalna, there is a galaxy full of stars. You will find another. Soon"
"Maybe, Xephos, maybe."

"Look at them in all their drunken glory. Pathetic. I could snap their necks in a split second."Ridge scoffed as he disappeared.

At Blackrock, Zoey laid Rythian's lifeless body to a table. Her eyes were weary and his feet were pained. She sat on the marble floor, and wondered how her life changed so much in the space of a day. She didn't want revenge anymore. She just wanted peace. No anger burned inside her, but rather an extinguished flame. All emotion left Zoey's eyes as she fingered the sword at her side.
Without another thought, she plunged the sword deep inside her heart.

Blackness.
That's all Zoey saw. She had a wound in her chest, and she was certain that she was dead. No doubt about it. She couldn't see. Suddenly, light poured over her, causing her to shield her eyes. And there she was. Her love. Rythian. She felt him spread his arms, and Zoeya leapt into them, relishing his touch, his caress, in such a lonely, peaceful place.
That is love.
