"Hm..."

Satsuki Kiryuin was sitting on the living room couch, holding a book in her hand, with a focused face as she carefully read and learned everything in the book. No doubt, she was trying to study and learn everything she could from the books she was reading.

"So this is the mighty legend of Sparda..."

And said the book Satsuki was about the almighty legends and tales of this great world, either from Earth, Heaven, or Hell. Before she could continue reading, a bag was suddenly held in front of her face, making her look up from her book to see what it was.

"I brought you breakfast, don't worry I got your tea this time."

It was none other than Dante, who had just come back home with breakfast, to which he offered some to Kiryuin, who accepted after putting her book down.

"You have my thanks, Dante."

Satsuki bows her head before taking food out of the bag and starts her meal, though as she eats, the Devil Hunter can't help but hum as he looks at her and what she was just doing earlier

"A bit of a bookworm, aren't you?"

Dante noticed the large pile of books surrounding her, which made him wonder if she had read them all yet.

"Please forgive the mess, I shall put them away soon."

Satsuki apologizes for the mess, but the man in red simply waves off her worries as he takes a seat on a chair he pulls from the kitchen, clearly unbothered by it all.

"I get it, no need to explain anything."

Dante just opened a box of leftover pizza, took a slice, and bit into it, all the while leaning back in his chair.

"Though if you really wanna learn more about my homeworld, I could always just take you out and show you around to get a better look for it yourself."

Kiryu could only huff and glare lightly at Dante when he made such a suggestion

"Hmph, is this your cheap shot at asking me out on a date?"

Satsuki crossed her arms, clearly not amused at such a weak attempt at flattery, which made the Devil Hunter chuckle and take another bite of his pizza

"Heh, I would be a liar to say no, but I do genuinely wanna help you get settled in and understand your new home, we could even bring along your friend if you want."

Dante, even though he was trying to ask her out, he was still being serious about just wanting to help them get to know their new home.

"Speaking of which, where is Ryuko?"

Though with that said, Dante couldn't help but notice that a certain someone wasn't there with them

"She doesn't like to stay at one place for long, so she's probably already out and about, we can only hope she doesn't cause any trouble."

Satsuki simply answered the question, as if she already knew how Ryuko would act and what she would do in certain situations, as if they had a connection with one another already, though the Man in Red could only shrug in response as he finished eating the rest of his pizza

"Well, I guess it would be like a date between you and me, if you're still willing~"

Dante winks and smirks teasingly, which makes the serious woman sigh and shake her head, but it doesn't really stop her from letting a light smile form on her lips

"Might as well, I need to return these books anyway."

And with that, after Satsuki accepted, both she and the Devil Hunter went out together, leaving the old apartment and just exploring the entirety of Red Grave City, they did a lot together in such a large town, returning and getting new books from a library, visiting a few historical landmarks that are quite famous, eating at a small diner that had Dante's favorite dessert, which made Kiryuin question how he is so fit and strong despite his unhealthy eating habits, and then ending it all with the two sitting on top of a tall building and simply watching the sunset together, as the day slowly turned into night, while the moon and stars began to fill up the entire dark sky

"I hope you gain some new knowledge in our field trip, you might have a test about it later~"

Dante lies down on the edge of the building, closes his eyes and enjoys the silence. For the young woman herself, she sits there at the edge and looks up at the sky, carefully watching each and every star that appears. As if analyzing and trying to find something specific up there.

"... Why are you helping us? I mean truly, what do you even gain from it?"

Though Satsuki was looking up at night, she couldn't help but ask an important question of the man in red next to her.

"Can't it just be me being a nice guy who likes helping beautiful women?~"

Dante tried to answer the question carelessly, hoping it would suffice for her to take, which it didn't

"I know very well it's much more than that Dante, even if you want romantic or sexual favors, I know it's not the full story, especially when it comes from the likes of you."

Satsuki looks away from the night sky and stares at the Devil Hunter with narrow eyes, as if knowing he had more to say

"Reading like the books you read this morning huh?..."

Dante let out a sigh, as it was now his turn to open his eyes and look at the starry sky and the moon

"... I know what it's like to lose everything, your home, your family, and friends, desperately wanting to have them back, yet having no power to get them back."

Dante spoke, he spoke without being carefree and joyfully, being serious and sincere without any of the jokes or teasing in his tone

"Though to be fair, at least in your situation, you have the possibility to see them again, but even so, I can relate to your pain you must be feeling."

And what Dante spoke about was something that made Kiryuin listen carefully and pay close attention to

"So is that it, you're doing this out of sympathy?"

Satsuki didn't mean to be rude, but if she wonders if that's all he has to say to her, if he has more to say and reveal

"Well, that, and because I don't want to lose my humanity."

Which Dante did, but what he said for some reason had more impact than what he had first thought

"What do you mean by that?"

And Satsuki couldn't help but feel its impact as well, as if she instinctively knew that the word carried more weight than it should have.

"Let's just say, I experience regret when I ignore someone in need."

A small flashback, and an image of an older woman in a gun store filled Dante's head

"While also knowing someone very close that abandoned everything, including their humanity, to achieve something that they refuse to give up on."

And then another young man with white spiked hair in a blue coat, both memories made Dante frown very deeply

"I don't want to end up like the demons we kill..."

And with all that, Dante refused to say more than that, allowing silence to be brought back and letting the serious woman have a chance to process what she heard and what it could mean

"You're not a bad person, if it's any consolation, you're one of the few most human characters I know personally from my group of comrades."

And once Satsuki understood, she decided to say something in the hopes of letting the Devil Hunter know that he was more man than demon, which made him smile.

"Oh my, look who's getting flirty with me now, hm?~"

There was another moment of peace and silence between Dante and Kiryuin. Now both of them are looking at the stars and the moon. The sun has set, giving them a better view of the night, which shines just as brightly as the city lights below it.

"It is getting late Dante, let us return home."

After a while, Satsuki decided that it was best to leave and head back home. Dante didn't argue; he got back to his feet, let out some stretches, and was ready to leave with the calm woman.

"... I wonder what Ryuko is doing right now."

Though as two people were heading home with such a question in mind, at a different place and time, Ryuko Matoi could be seen on her knees, using her weapon to support herself, panting and sweating, all the while covered in multiple scrapes and bruises

"YOU BASTARD!"

But after taking a moment to catch her breath, Ryuko lets out a very loud angry yell, as she then gets back up, readies her scissor blade, and charges forth at the mysterious stranger in a brown cloak, who just huffs in response and pushes his thumb up at his O-Katana sword

"... Weak..."

So many things to consider in the future of this story, a lot of things, I am open to suggestions by the way if you have any.

(I have been thinking, after Devil May Cry 3, should I make them all go back to the Kill La Kill world and just continue the DMC Story in the KLK World? Or do you think I should hold off until DMC 5 to go back to KLK?)

/When Should They Go Back Home?\

Go Back After DMC 3: The Pro: You don't have to wait for a long time to see the KLK Characters, while also having some DMC story take place in KLK Verse.

(The Con: The main KLK story itself will be put on hold, not ignored as I will add in some it here and there, but only truly revealed in DMC 5)

Go Back Around DMC 5: The Pro: The story will only be focused on Ryuko and Satsuki, which will give them main screen time and development without other characters potentially taking that away, also dramatically it would work better to wait until DMC 5 to go back.

(The Con: It will be a very long time until you get to see KLK characters and it's story)
