Surprise?

(A/N: Sorry for the long wait, but Ali hope this chapter makes up for it, although it'll be short.)

~Y/N POV~

As soon as breakfast was over, Kiki and I had to go back into town for the Bakery, so here's what we did: we walked over to an outside phone to call my aunt and let her know that we're coming back.

The only trouble was that the phone is way outside the forrest, and although Ursula didn't mind it, she's rather stay off the grid.

I offered to make the call, but Kiki was persistent enough to let me have a break. I couldn't be against it, so I let her do it.

I stood outside with Ursula as she talked to Aunt Osono.

Ursula: I still can't get over how good that steak was, Y/N! The inside was a perfect medium rare.

Y/N: Thanks, I always wanted to try new things whenever I can. Steak was one of those cuts of beef that I wanted to try and cook.

Ursula: And I have to say, if I had ¥50 for every time you cook something good, I'd be a millionaire, but that's okay. I'm more into the outdoors.

Y/N: Yeah.

Ursula: Hey, since you're wanting to go to college after graduating from high school, how about you come stay with me?

Y/N: Wait, seriously?

Ursula: Yeah! It gives you some time to experiment and get you a culinary perspective. I know some friends from the University who specialize in the culinary field, I can hook you up.

Y/N: Would you really?

Ursula: Always, little man. You're like my baby brother, and I love you like one, I'd do anything for you.

Y/N: I appreciate that, but I'm not little anymore.

We both laughed as Kiki walked back from the phone booth and she seemed happy about something.

Kiki: Y/N, we got a delivery.

Y/N: Wait, what?

Kiki: Yeah. It's the same woman that I delivered a pot pie to her granddaughter.

Y/N: You mean Debbie?

Kiki: That's her name?

Y/N: Yeah. I've known her when I was a kid. The sweetest old woman I've ever met.

Kiki: You got a lot of friends, how come I've never seen them?

Y/N: They wanna know why they've never seen you.

We all laughed as a car picked us up and we had to say goodbye to Ursula.

Kiki: Thank you so much for everything.

Ursula: Same here, Kiki. And Y/N.

Y/N: Yeah?

Ursula: When you graduate from school, I want you to invite me, you got it?

Y/N: I will.

We both hugged as tight as we could until I had to leave with Kiki in the car.

Kiki: How do you and her know each other?

Y/N: She used to be my babysitter when I was a lot younger, Kiki. She was and still is just the best. We consider ourselves brother and sister, even though we're not related.

Kiki: So you've known her since forever.

Y/N: Yeah.

As we headed into town, we got onto a trolly and got to Debbie's house. It still looked the same as I remembered.

I mean, when my parents were doing a business meeting with her, I was told to not touch anything, mostly because of Deb's stuff was around longer than she was and they were fragile, they weren't lying, though.

I almost broke an antique vase when I was 4 and I got my butt whooped for being careless. That was the last time I was gonna touch anything in Debbie's house if I ever visited again.

For now on, I keep my hands in my pockets whenever I'm there visiting.

When Kiki rang the doorbell, Barsa opened the door, and I thought she still looked fantastic.

Kiki: Afternoon, ma'am.

Barsa: Well, well, we've been expecting you.

Kiki: Well, you won't expect who I brought with me.

I came into her view and she still looked fantastic as ever! Miss Barsa looked so adorable, like, her smile is just so infectious!

Barsa: Oh, Y/N! Good to see you again!

Y/N: Likewise.

Barsa: Please, come in.

We entered as I gave Barsa a hug as we walked with Kiki to where Debbie was.

Barsa: It's been so long, Y/N. You've grown up so much.

Y/N: I try to. How's everything here?

Barsa: We've been getting by. Debbie has been wanting to see you for sometime now.

Y/N: Oh, really?

Barsa: Yes.

Y/N: No kidding?

Barsa: She's been wanting to know if you could help around her house if you could.

Y/N: I can do it, no problem at all.

As we got to where Debbie was, not only was she excited to see Kiki, but me as well!

I have to say, Debbie looks great.

Kiki: Um, it's very nice to see you again, ma'am.

Debbie: I'm glad you came. Please excuse me for not standing. My legs are bothering me more than usual. Oh my. Y/N, is that you?

Y/N: Yes, ma'am.

I walked over and gave her a hug and a kiss on her cheek as Debbie looked so happy to see me.

Debbie: I never thought you'd grow up to be a handsome young man.

Y/N: Miss Debbie, you're making me blush!

We all giggled like schoolchildren, but Barsa was able to bring in a box. I had to help her out and bring it to the table as she had to know if the dirigible hadn't taken off yet.

Barsa: Gosh! I hope it hasn't taken off.

Debbie: Not yet. Barsa is about lighter-than-air travel.

Barsa: I'm the adventuresome type.

Debbie: Could you turn it down for me, Y/N?

Y/N: Anything for you, ma'am.

Debbie: Please, you don't have to be formal, you can just call me Debbie. You earned it after doing so many things for me around the house, you know?

Y/N: I appreciate the courtesy, but I think it's better to be well-mannered.

Debbie: I understand.

I turned down the TV for her as Kiki opened up the box, asked by Debbie.

When I came around to see what it was, it turned to be a chocolate cake, with Kiki's business logo with such great detail!

Actually, this isn't a cake, this is a masterpiece!

Kiki: I don't get it.

Debbie: Would you please bring this to a young delivery girl? She was kind to me and a very big help. It's my way of saying thank you. Ah, yes, and can you find out when her next birthday is? Then I can bake her another one.

That was when Kiki started being very emotional. She didn't think that Debbie could be this sweet towards her and I thought this was the best thank you she's ever gotten.

This is the type of stuff that makes me love Debbie even more, like, she's a sweet old bird. I can't believe no one values her as much. I mean, I was taught to respect my elders and Miss Debbie is one of them.

Kiki was holding back her tears at this kind gesture from Debbie until looked back, wiping some tears away, and she smiled and said,

Kiki: Of course, I will. And maybe the young lady will want to know the lady's birthday, because she'll be able to give her a present to repay her.

Debbie: You've got a deal.

We all laughed as it was just a sight to see Debbie and Kiki bond.

Seriously, seeing these two together are awesome, their chemistry is great, but what will come in just a second will not be as great.
