Slow Day?

~Y/N POV~

Today was just so slow that Kiki was on the verge of sleeping.

I didn't blame her though because I was about to sleep as well, until I saw my ex-best friend and my ex-girlfriend going somewhere. I was looking out and he basically smirked, winked, and before I could go out there to confront him, they rode off on his motorcycle.

I didn't act out or anything in front of Kiki because that's not me usually. Instead I muttered under my breath...

Y/N: I hope they both crash.

Literally, I've grown up a lot where my parents are dead and I've known that I have to be a somebody than be a nobody. My ex-friend and ex-girlfriend treated me like garbage after they revealed their relationship to me.

They thought I was a bum working at my aunt and uncle's bakery while living with them. To this day, I just have a legitimate hatred for them.

After seeing those two ride off, I had to go to sit with my aunt, who looked so concerned for me as she was knitting.

Osono: Are you okay, Y/N?

Y/N: I'm fine, I just need to sit down for a bit.

Osono: Your ear's red, so there's something bothering you.

Y/N: I said I'm fine, Aunt Osono.

Osono: You don't have to hide anything from me. Just tell me what's wrong.

I had to tell her before it ate me up. I mean, I trust my aunt with my life and I really want to make sure that our relationship doesn't have any flaws in it.

Y/N: My ex-friend and his girlfriend were outside the store.

Osono: Oh, what did they do?

Y/N: They basically winked at me and before I could go out there, they rode off.

Osono: Don't let it get to you. His parents probably never cared about what people thought about them together.

Y/N: Yeah, well, I don't have any of those, don't I?

Osono: Y/N, don't say that. You still have people who care about you.

Y/N: I know, I just wish it didn't come to that, you know? Every day I see them, I felt like I just wanna disappear and be forgotten about.

Osono: I really don't blame you, Y/N. I don't, but you have so much to live for.

Y/N: Yeah, but I've been suffering from heartache for a while now. Is it okay if I talk to you about it?

Osono: Of course. You know I would always listen, right?

Y/N: Yeah.

Osono: So what's on your mind?

Y/N: It's Kiki.

Osono: Oooh, so she's on your mind?

Y/N: Yeah. She reminds me of my ex, so caring, kind, and cute right before she got with my best friend.

Osono: I see. Well, I know Kiki's been feeling the same about you.

Y/N: How do you know?

Osono: It's the way she looks at you, Y/N. If I suggest, I say you take things slow since you're still suffering from your heartache.

Y/N: Yeah. It's a good idea. I mean, I am falling for her, but it's not a good idea for right now.

Osono: For sure.

?????: Wake up. You're supposed to be minding the store.

I heard a voice in the other room as I excused myself from my aunt, which she understood.

I went around the corner and I had to listen to who it was.

Kiki: I am, but today this place is boring.

Jiji: But it always gets busy around this time.

Kiki: I know that. That's not what I mean. I mean, my customers. Jiji, if nobody comes in, I'm gonna have to eat pancakes forever and be fat. Fat! FAT! And what am I supposed to do about that?

Jiji: Well, I like pancakes, provided they're not burned.

Kiki: Look, fur ball, when you get as fat and round as a pancake, you see if I care.

I saw that the clothes designer walked by and we waved. I'm serious, she's so beautiful I that I wish I was more older to date her, but it doesn't matter, I'm happy with who I am.

Kiki: Beautiful, isn't she? They tell me she's a clothes designer.

Jiji: Her designs may be fabulous, but her cat's still a snob.

The phone was ringing as I had to get back to work while Kiki answered it. I decided to see if Jiji would allow me to let him so I turned my hand into a fist and lifted it towards him.

He started sniffing it for a bit until he rubbed his head on my hand. I thought I felt him purring and it turned out he was.

I'm not really a cat person, but Jiji's an exception because of how witty he really is. He's got a personality of his own and I kinda like him for that.

Kiki: Hello. Good Cooking Pan Bakery. What? Pardon? Uh, yes ma'am.

Kiki looked at me and said...

Kiki: About time we got a customer, huh?

Y/N: That's really awesome!

Kiki: Yes, ma'am, 4:30 will be a perfect time to pick it up. If you'll just...

She started writing down the address and everything as I had to see what's there to reorganize, but before I could get over to the bread section, Jiji was rubbing himself between my legs, almost knocking me over!

I looked him with a playful smile and said...

Y/N: What?

He looked at me, meowed, and rubbed himself against my leg.

Kiki: And the address? Yes. The blue roof. Right.

I then saw Tombo outside and I was wondering why he was here. If he's going to disrespect Kiki once more, I was ready to throw him out. In my family, if anyone said one bad thing and it's towards any member or their profession, that person's done.

It's like in my family when it comes to cooking breakfast: if anyone cracked one egg, and it doesn't hit the pan, that's it.

Kiki: Yeah. I'm pretty sure I have it all. And thank you very much, ma'am.

Tombo walked in as he was happy to see Kiki, who proceeded to put up the map of the town up so high and in front of his face that I immediately held in my laughter!

I feel her pain, I think everyone does!

Tombo: I'll take this, please, okay?

He had a cracker and a coin in his hand as Kiki immediately took the coin, gave Tombo some change, and said...

Kiki: Thank you very much. Good afternoon.

Seriously, she just flexed on his smart looking dumb butt!

Tombo: Oh, come on. You're not still mad at me, aren't you?

Why not? I mean, you can't even apologize for not introducing yourself as what a real man would do if he wants to be friends with a girl.

Tombo: Listen, we're gonna have a huge party at the club tonight. It's called the Aviation Club, and we'd really like you to come. Here's your invitation.

He handed out this envelope with a pink bow and it said Miss Witch.

Does he not know that her name is Kiki?

Tombo: It's a serious club for kids who are into flying and aircraft and stuff. And, you know, everybody'd be really excited if you came.

Man, you're dumb.

Then this guy came in with something really heavy!

Kiki: Yes, may I help you, sir?

Man: They tell me you have a delivery service.

Kiki: Uh, oh. I'm sorry. Yes, of course, we can handle it.

Man: It's very urgent that this package arrive as soon as possible.

Kiki: That's no problem. Y/N, you mind helping him out?

Y/N: Absolutely.

I took the package from him and it was so heavy that this had to come out of my mouth...

Y/N: Wow, what a package!

Well, that was out of context.

Man: Are you all right, young man?

Y/N: I do this every day!

I managed to lift it over to the weight scale and

Kiki: What's the weight, Y/N?

Y/N: About 20lbs, Kiki. Think you can handle it?

Kiki: I think so.

Y/N: Alright.

Tombo left Kiki the invitation as she was able to work with the man as I had to take a huge gulp of water.

This is gonna be a challenge for Kiki, but I know she can do it.

Kiki: Osono! Osono! I've got a big problem. I got an invitation to go to a party at Tombo's flying club.

Osono: I'm sure it'll be a great party, Kiki.

Kiki: No. But my problem is, what am I going to wear?

Osono: Kiki, you haven't got a problem. You look fine in that. Besides, it makes you look beautiful and mysterious.

Kiki: Really?

Osono: How's work?

Kiki: I almost forgot about that. It's 4:00. Oh no. Y/N, can you watch the store until I get back?

Y/N: You got it.

Kiki called for her cat as Osono and I just giggled by how adorable she is! I mean, I really can't with how cute Kiki is!

That's the problem: Kiki doesn't realize how beautiful she is in that dress. It really suits her better than most of the dresses here in the town.

When she left with that package, I was concerned because of how heavy it was while there's another one to be picked up and delivered,

I know who she was going to and that's Miss Debbie, okay? I've known her all my life thanks to my parents being friends with her.

(A/N: With the name "Madame", the character the late Debbie Reynolds voice acted, I had to name her that out of respect. Rest In Peace, Debbie.)

I even met Debbie's granddaughter at one point and the problem was that she was beautiful, but she had such an attitude that I thought she wasn't worth going out with.

Why would I want to go out with her of all people? I can care less about her. Debbie is the one person I'd love being around, but that's about it. Nobody can't pay me enough to ask her granddaughter out.

It was raining by the time Tombo came around in a suit, but after 6:00 was here, he left.

Kiki came back and she was soaked. I mean, she looked really bad. I didn't know what made her stay away from me, but it wasn't revealed until the next day.
