Delivery?

(A/N: This chapter is gonna be hard for me to write, when you get to the part in the middle of this chapter, you'll understand.)

~Kiki POV~

After some time feeling better, even though I felt bad for insulting Y/N, I managed to put on some dry clothes and cook some pancakes.

After flipping over a pancake, I was curious on the stove. I stuck my spatula in the fuel hole two times before it burst into flames, but I saved it by putting the skillet over the fire to diminish it.

Kiki: Breakfast! Jiji!

I didn't hear from Jiji and I had to look outside for him.

Kiki: Where are you!

?????: Kiki?

I looked down and it was Osono! Hope she's okay with that baby inside of her.

Osono: Are you feeling better?

Kiki: A lot better, thank you? I'm sorry, I didn't realize I'd overslept.

Osono: That's okay. Come down later. I have a favor to ask you. All right?

Kiki: Okay.

After eating my breakfast without Jiji, I went down to the bakery and I saw that Y/N wasn't here.

He must've be pretty mad at me for bringing up his past relationship, but I don't blame him. When Osono gave me a brown bag of something for the delivery, I was a bit confused on the note.

Kiki: The name is "Koppori"?

Osono: Uh-huh. Now, take this money.

Was she giving me money?! This delivery is on me!

Kiki: Oh, no, ma'am. No money. It's on me.

Osono: Impossible. Work is work, and make sure you deliver it in person.

As she gave me the money and a wink, I had to ask.

Kiki: Where's Y/N, by the way?

Osono: I gave him the day off. I thought he needed a little break, you know?

Kiki: That makes sense.

I left the bakery and looked for Jiji until he appeared with a lady cat!

Jiji: What is it?

Kiki: We've got a delivery. Hey, who's your friend there?

Jiji: Lily's her name, be right there.

Kiki: Stay there. I'll be right back. He's all yours, bye bye!

Lily: MEOW!

Jiji: Hmmm.

I followed the directions to the house, where the delivery was taking place, but little did I know, I was going to feel awkward when I find out who I was delivering for.

As I walked through a neighborhood, I saw the view of the ocean and a port, over the place of a street. It all looked so beautiful.

Kiki: It's so pretty and warm.

?????: Hey. Hey, there, Miss Witch.

I looked back and it had to be Tombo.

Tombo: Taking a walk?

Kiki: Uh-uh. I'm looking for someone named Koppori.

Tombo: Hey that's my name. That's me. If you go around that way, I'll be right with you, okay?

Kiki: Okay.

It had to be this boy. Osono, how could you do this to me?

I went around to his place and I gave him his bag, but I had to make sure I apologized for now coming to the party or whatever.

Kiki: About the other night, I'm sorry I didn't show up.

Tombo: Huh? Mmm-mmmx I'm sorry you had to end up so sick like that. Hey, come over to my place. There's something I wanna show you.

Tombo brought me over to his house where he showed me this bike with a propeller at the front. I thought it looked ridiculous until Tombo explained.

Tombo: The party was too celebrate the completion of this thing. What do you think?

He then got on the hike to give a demonstration of the bike and I have to say, he knows his stuff.

Tombo: This is the engine of a man-propelled plane. Watch this.

Then, the propeller started moving fast, which I can feel the wind blowing at me.

Tombo: We're going to assemble the wings and the frame at somebody else's house. I'm planning on flying this thing during most of my summer vacation.

After showing me something cool with this, he had to ask.

Tombo: Miss Witch, I got a great idea. Why don't we go down to the beach where that dirigible landed yesterday?

Kiki: Dirigible?

Tombo: Don't tell me you didn't hear about it?

Kiki: I was sick.

Tombo: Then we gotta see it. Let's do it.

~Y/N POV~

After Kiki bringing up my past relationship, Osono gave me the day off to be with myself. I was grateful for her to do that.

My aunt Osono is just so sweet and I really am happy to be her adopted nephew, but the thing is, she needs help with the baby on the way.

At the beach, where the dirigible was and seeing it up close was amazing! I wish my aunt and uncle could come over and see it, but I just thought of my parents. They'd be amazed by how huge it is.

I love them so much, but I'm sad that they're gone.

I decided to turn on my radio and just listen to some music as I looked out into the ocean.

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Hearing this music just brings back so many memories. I grew up listening to this and I thought it was modern as a kid. The current rock and rap and all that stuff may be popular nowadays, but nobody knows good music anymore.

This music always helps me look forward to another day without wishing to die.

Other than that, I was really enjoying myself, away from work and how much I had to deal with.

As I got up to take my shoes off and feel the warm water on my feet, I saw Kiki and Tombo walking over to the shore.

It was the worst time for me.

I just didn't feel comfortable being around Kiki for a while after what happened, so I put my shoes back on and looked to grab my radio, but of course, she saw me.

Kiki: Y/N, hi!

Y/N: Hey, Kiki. Tombo.

Tombo: Hey Y/N. What were you doing here?

Y/N: I was given the day off. Thought I might spend some time here.

Tombo: Oh, that makes sense.

Y/N: I was about to head on back home.

Kiki: Look, Y/N, I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't know how sensitive you were about that subject.

Y/N: It's okay. Anyway, I gotta get going. I'll see you back at the bakery, Kiki?

Kiki: You betcha!

I waved at the two before walking away. I was able to get a ride back into town, but before I could do that, I recognized the car that was pulling up.

Girl 1: Hey, if it isn't the loser baker!

Jimmy: Dude, I seriously can't believe you missed out on going on the Spirit of Freedom.

Y/N: Shut your mouth, Jimmy!

Jimmy: Really? What are you gonna do about it?

Y/N: I'll fight you!

Jimmy: That'll be the day, if your aunt and uncle would let you!

Y/N: I don't need them for this.

Then, my ex-friend got out of the car and started walking towards me with a smile, telling me that he wants to fight.

Kelly: Jimmy. Don't bother with him, it's not worth fighting him.

Jimmy: You're lucky she's here, because if she weren't, I'd fight you!

Y/N: I bet, because you're the coward of your family.

Jimmy: I'm a coward of my family? Let's talk about yours. Oh wait, you don't have any because your parents are dead and you live with your fat aunt and uncle!

I couldn't take it anymore. I tackled this guy to the ground and started beating him up, just not really caring about the fact that some security had to come over and break us up.

They did as I was trying to get out of it, but security wasn't allowing me to let go. I reluctantly didn't try to fight it so I walked away before it got even worse.

After that, I just decided to go back to the bakery and go up to the house part of the building after letting my aunt and uncle know that I was back.

~1:45 AM~

I was just trying to sleep after a bad confrontation with my ex and her boyfriend, hoping not to worry about it, but I heard someone enter my room.

I looked over and it was Kiki?!

Y/N: Kiki? Don't you know that it's in the middle of the night?

Kiki: Yeah, but I just wanted to see my best friend.

Then, I saw something from the corner of her eye, and told me something wasn't right.

Y/N: Are you okay?

Saying nothing, she went into my arms and cried as I held her close to me.

I don't know what's making her cry, but I know that I have to make sure that Kiki's okay.

Y/N: What's wrong?

Kiki: Y/N, I lost my powers.

Y/N: What? How'd you lose them?

Kiki: I don't know. It just seems that I met a lot of people, and at first everything seems to be going okay, but then I started feeling like such an outsider. You should've seen how Tombo's friends looked at me.

Y/N: How did they look at you?

Kiki: Like I didn't belong in this town. They didn't like me.

Y/N: Kiki, you should know, there's gonna be people like them. And that boy you saw driving the car was my ex-best friend, why'd you think I'm not friends with them anymore?

Kiki: They were your friends?

Y/N: Yeah, but after knowing about their true selves, I was done. I couldn't be around them no more. Can I tell you something?

Kiki: Sure.

Y/N: When you arrived in Koriko, I thought you were special right of the bat. I knew you seemed like a witch, but I never wanted to see you differently because that's how I was built. Enough about me because the point I'm making is that, it doesn't matter what people think. They can like who they want to like and they can dislike who they want to dislike, but what matters is the character, not the appearance.

Kiki: And what do you think about me losing my powers?

Y/N: It could mean two things, one, it could be the fact that you have to wait for them to recharge, or two, it could be a blessing in disguise so you could take a break. That's how I see it, hope you're not mad about it.

Kiki: I'm not. I'm just trying to process this.

Y/N: I know. Look, I don't know much about being a witch or a wizard, but I do know that you're one of the nicest girls that's ever came to Koriko. Just remember that if you ever need anything, I want you to let me know, okay?

Kiki: I will, Y/N.

We hugged again as I looked to go back to sleep, but before I could close my eyes, Kiki said...

Kiki: Thanks Y/N.

And she kissed my cheek before walking out of my room.

I think it's actually happening. She's really in love with me. Well, I hope it all gets better for me first.
