Imagine being John's daughter and Doc finds you, injured after getting shot from a fight and he saves you.

One day, you were out feeding the cattle, when you heard gun shots and decided to go check out. You got your horse, y/h/n (your horse's name) and went off to where the gun shots were fired. Once there, you hid behind a barrel and saw two men, who were apart of Murphy's gang. When you tried to leave, you ended by getting shot. Y/h/n got spooked and you fell off, ending up in a ditch. Meanwhile back at your father's ranch, your father got worried for he hasn't seen you all day. Just then he and the others saw y/h/n coming in and he/she look very spooked. "Whoa there, y/h/n. It's okay." Your father said as y/h/n was trying to tell him and the others that you were in danger. Doc could tell that something wasn't right, so he got on his horse and road off to find you.

"Y/n? Y/n, where you kid?" Doc called as he found you, unconscious. "Damn it. Come on y/n say something for me." He said as you mumbled his name. "Let's get you back to the ranch, where I can take care of the wound of yours." He said as he put you on his horse and rode back to your father's ranch. "Y/n!" Your father yelled as Doc told him to be quiet. "Y/n is fine, John. All I got to do is take care of the gunshot wound." "Is it serious?" "No. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a patient to take care of." "Wait Doc. Just one more thing. Was it Murphy's gang?" "I believe so. Since I found y/n in a ditch, left for dead." "Thanks Doc and take good care of my little girl." "I will." "Alright. Jose. You and Billy will stay here and guard my little girl and Doc. The rest of you are coming with me. We've got ourselves a gang to hunt down." Your father said as all of them got ready to head out. "I'll be back soon, y/n. I love you." He whispered in your ear and left as Doc began to clean out your wound. After your wound was taken care of, Doc cleaned you up and covered you up with his jacket to keep warm. After a while you began to wake up and you noticed that you were back at the ranch.

"Well hello there sleeping beauty. How do you feel?" Doc asked as he came into the room. "H-how did I get back here?" You said as you groaned as you felt pain. "I wouldn't move just yet, y/n. Plus I saved you and brought you home." He said as he check your wound. "What happened?" "It was Murphy's gang. They shot you and left you for dead. But I want you to stay in bed. You lost some blood, but not too much that you're near death or anything. You'll be fine in a couple of days." "Well can I order food?" You asked, making him chuckle. "Yes you can." He said as you told him what you wanted. When Doc left to get you your lunch, you began to fall in love with Doc. After you ate, Doc tucked you in and went on guard, while Jose could get some sleep. You were having a nightmare about what happened to you earlier. "No! No! Help! (Screams)" Doc hears you and came to your rescue once more. "Y/n. Y/n, wake up. It's only a dream." He said as you woke up and cried into his chest. "Shh... it's okay. You're safe and I'm here." He said as his calming voice soothed you. "You alright?" He asked. "Y-yeah, but I feel scared from my nightmare." "Well how about you join me outside? I promise to protect you." He said as both of you went outside. He gave you his jacket to keep warm and gave you a warm cup of coffee. "Are you warm enough, y/n?" "Yes, Doc. Thank you." "You're welcome, y/n." "Doc?" "Hmm?" "Have you ever felt feeling for someone?" You asked him. "Yes I have. And the girl I have feelings for is right here with me." He said as he kissed you. "I love you, Doc Scurlock." "And I love you, Y/n Tunstall." Both of you said as both of made out under the a beautiful star-lit sky.

"Doc?" "Yeah?" "I love you." "(Chuckles) I know and I love you too, y/n." It started to get cold out, so both you decided to go inside and warm up the fire. After a while you and Doc were getting sleepy and asleep in each other's arms.
