Caught... Orange handed?
Meiko shook her head slightly as she looked at the note again before placing the note in her dresser drawer. She adjusted her backpack before walking over to her window, throwing it open and sliding out of it before she shut it. From there, she leaped off to the next roof, the nighttime slowly covering her body shape as she jumped from roof to roof, until she arrived at the place she met Izumo and Kotesu every night.
"Aye, fuckers." She said as she arrived, and Izumo rolled his eyes.
"Two, you're mean sometimes. You know that?" He said, and she rolled her eyes, pulling her mask up on her face with the other two mimicking her actions.
"Only at night, three. Only at night." She stated, and they took off into the night. They raced to the first roof, and obviously Meiko won, because she hated to lose. Izumo playfully shoved her once they were on the roof, and she threw him up the finger. From under his mask, his small pout became noticeable. Meiko gave a small laugh before running towards the edge of the roof, leaping to the next roof.
She did this for the next couple of buildings, Izumo and Kotesu following close behind her, until she suddenly dropped down to the ground in an alley way, close to the one that they had ruined the previous night, which wasn't like Meiko. She normally kept the crimes the committed far apart, but tonight, tonight Meiko was feeling frisky.
She pulled out her bottle of orange spray paint, and began to go to town on the wall, drawing the same 'Kids In The Dark.' Logo from the night before, except she added a few things, like a blue strip down the middle of it, and a orange and black smiley face.
Meiko was about to put the finishing colors of orange on the piece, but she froze when she heard a very familiar voice call out from the edge of the alley way.
"Stop! In the name of youthfulness!" Gai shouted, pointing his finger at Meiko. Meiko glanced at him, before shoving the orange spray paint back in her back, and leaping up to the roof.
"Go!" She shouted to Izumo and Kotesu, who both take off running as fast as they can, placing chakra in their feet to speed themselves up. Meiko trails slowly behind them, trying to make sure that if anyone got caught, it would her. Gai was hot on her heels, and she knew that. So she took a right turn and made a mad dash towards the forest.
Once she was in the forest, she made all kinds of zig zags, and quick turns to throw Gai off of her trail, and once she figured she had lost him, she stop moving and hid behind a rock, gasping for air slightly as she crouched down behind the large stone, her eyes closed.
"Thought you could get away from me that easily?" Gai said, and Meiko jumped, letting out a large scream. Gai smirked at him, throwing his finger at her quickly. "No one can escape my youthfulness!"
Meiko looked at Gai with an eyebrow raised. She then placed her hands together, and screamed 'Bye!' at him, before disappearing in cloud of smoke. Gai sat there for a few minutes, and just stared at where the girl had been. He knew that voice. He knew he did! It was so young and youthful...
Meiko reappeared by Izumo and Kotesu, causing both of them to jump slightly as they looked over at her. "Oh thank goodness." Izumo said, as he hugged her tightly, picking her up off the ground slightly.
Meiko hugged him back tightly, burying her face into his shoulder. No one had ever gotten that close to them, and frankly, it scared Meiko a lot. She loved to do this, but she was so scared of getting caught because... What would her dad think? She sighed softly as she felt her feet touch the ground lightly, and she stared up at her best friends.
"Let's go back to Izumo's house, I know he has a change of clothes for both of us." She said to Kotesu, who nodded his head then looked at Izumo for approval, which he just nodded.
They jumped from roof to roof until they ended up at Izumo's house. He threw he window open, and all three climb in his small room. The boy quickly went over to the dresser, and pulled out an outfit for both himself and Kotesu, before going down a few drawers to where Meiko had put a few of her outfits, and he threw it at her.
Both of the boys turned away from her as she changed, both of them also changing. Once Meiko was changed, she sighed heavily and grabbed her backpack, shoving it underneath Izumo's bed, before going to the window.
"Do you guys want to call it a night or go out to eat?" She asked, and the boys exchanged glances before shrugging their shoulder and making their way over to the window. They all climbed out the window and dropped down onto the street, walking around until the ended up at their favorite place to eat, the BBQ shop.
Meiko ran in and grabbed them a booth, her favorite booth. It was closest to the back of the store, and that was why she liked it so much. Izumo and Kotesu followed after her, giving a small chuckle as they sat down across from their bouncing friend. Meiko wiggled around a little in the booth, because they had not been here in so long.
The man took their orders and began to cook the food, Meiko had a small like of drool falling down her face as she watched it cook, and this caused her friends to crack up. Meiko shot a pout at them, and both of them quickly stopped laughing, because Meiko could get out anything with her pout. She looked like someone had just killed her puppy, and that was enough for anyone to let her off of anything she did.
Except painting the town. She didn't think her pout would be enough to get her out of the trouble that she would get in if she was to be caught painting the town. That's why the thing with Gai freaked her out so bad. He wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut about it, he would tell everyone, and everyone would hate her. Especially her dad. He wouldn't ever forgive her, because he loves Konoha that much. Not that Meiko didn't love this village, she just wanted to add her own spin to it.
She was really lucky that she had been able to convince Asuma not to tell their dad when he found out. To keep a long story short, Asuma walked into Meiko's room when she was crawling out the window. He pulled her back in and started to yell at her, threatening to tell their dad. Meiko started crying, begging him not to, so he didn't. Because Asuma hated seeing his sister in pain. It hurt him a lot to see her cry.
Once their food was done cooking, Meiko began to shove her face, so did Izumo and Kotesu. Slowly, they started to eat slower so they could have conversations while they ate.
"That was a really close one tonight, Meiko." Izumo said, and Meiko nodded her head, looking down at her hands slightly.
"Yeah... I know." She said quietly, and Izumo reached across the table, placing his hand on her shoulder. She glanced up, and Izumo was giving her a closed eyed grin.
"Don't worry, Meiko. No matter what happens, we are gonna stand by you no matter what. That's what best friends are for, right?" He asked, and Meiko nodded slightly, a ghost of a smile on her lips.
"I love you guys." She said quietly, and both of them smiled brightly.
"We love you too!" The chorussed together, and then all three of them went back to eating.

Gai walked back to Asuma's house, scratching his head slightly. Where had he heard that voice before? It was so familiar... Almost like he heard it at least once a day for the last couple years. He shook his head, and sighed as he walked inside of the house, and into Asuma's room where Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai were. They all looked up at him when he walked inside the room, and tilted their heads.
"You're late. That's normally Kakashi's job." Asuma stated, and Gai just sighed as he sat down beside of Asuma, placing his head in his hands. Asuma looked over at Kurenai with a raised eyebrow, before placing his hand on Gai's back. "What's wrong, Gai? It's not like the youthful Might Gai to be anything but overly hyper." He chuckled, and Gai sat up slightly, stretching his arms above his head.
"I got off track on my way here, and I came across those kids who call themselves 'The Kids In The Dark.' spray painting a wall, so I told
them to stop and they took off running, so I chased after the girl. She lead me on a youthful chase, and when I finally caught up to her, she said 'Bye!' to me, and then disappeared, but the thing is, her voice sounds so familiar. Almost like I've heard it everyday for the last couple of youthful years. I just don't know." He said with a sigh, and Asuma's tensed slightly, but quickly shook it off.
Asuma knew he was talking about Meiko. Had she really gotten to the point where she was vandalizing the town..? When he had found out about it, it was nothing more than harmless little pranks. But now she was spray painting the walls? He knew it had officially gone to far, and he was going to have to put a stop to it. Rather it be he tell his father, or he did it himself, it had gotten way out game, and it needed to stop.
Asuma gave a sigh as he dropped his hand to his lap, and looked up at his friends. "We need to stop them, are you guys willing to help me do that?" He asked, and Gai nodded quickly, throwing his finger to the sky.
"It will be a youthful experience!" He screamed, and Asuma rolled his eyes. Well, old Gai was back.
He then glanced at Kurenai who was tapping her fingers light against her thigh. Her red eyes stared into Asuma's before she gave a small nod. "I'll help." She whispered quietly, a small blush forming on her cheeks when Asuma shot a smile at her.
His eyes then wondered over to Kakashi who was leaning against Asuma's bed, his arms crossed over his chest. He stared at Asuma for a minute, before he nodded his head. "I'm in." He replied. Asuma smiled.
"As long as we're all doing this, We're gonna need a plan."
